Honestly I do them when I feel like it. It takes a good month or so for me to find the time to write it, then I like to have someone edit in this case Thunderscream was nice enough to help. Usually I do the scoring, but Ransom was free enough to to help out THANKS, in return it freed me up to do a leaderboard which I hadn't do be for, it does take a LONG time to go through the missions though so I will still be making updates as I find the time to. Over the past YEAR now this I believe makes FOUR that I've ran. For those that have just noticed I like to do other games inbetween. After I finish this out I am going on vacation. I won't be around for about two weeks. Then I'll be back looking to setup a SCAVENGER hunt. Stick around, find some friends, gain XP ASAP, it will only help you.

not to belittle soundwave's efforts, but i do think anyone can run a tournie, if they have the dedication, and the support, the reason soundwave got onto the support staff was becuase she took it upon herself to organise a few tournies, scalphunts, and etc, she had to start somewhere. and so does everybody else. the first Scalphunt was done by a bunch of lvl1 spammers and it worked, the first alt-hunt was done by psychout, and he's nobody special(at least to me anyways :P ), but by god it worked.

who knows, it might not be the best tournie ever, but it'll sure as hell be better than Dark Tidings(don't ask), and you might just come up with some little trick that massively improves the playing expeirience for some one

right, enough of the sentimental mush "you've got the touch/ believe in youself" autobot pep talk, i'm gonna go bust up Phaze's team again.

I second that - Just look at Fight Club, it was a simple little lunchtime distraction that's now turned into the most viewed and posted thread on the HMW forum.

So, basically, how does the nitty gritty work? You crawled through the mission logs by hand, changing the number of the html line? Checked to see that it had qualifying numbers, and tallying the results... more than two thousand times?!?!

Awesome!

And a bit of dungeonmastering craft, putting together narration for possible outcomes... like populating the dungeon room the adventurers never discover.

Double awesome!

Hmmm.. when am I going to have a week to kill like that?

Yes.

Because starting a tournament and abandoning it half way through doesn't constitute an ability to run a tournament. :P

Those Decepticon b-----ds! They've sunk too low this time!

So, was it a pair of white and black camaros, or 4 apparently unrelated foreign cars led by a black semi?

Anyway, thanks for all the hard work guys.

I haven't the patience to go through the logs and tally the results - way too much like a lot of my school work.

That's genius! I love that. Not, of course, that anyone would trust Stunticons to do anything. If you want a target taken out you really should hire professionals...

- Expect to really put some effort in.
- Expect someone to say it sucks. In one form or another, someone will come along and say he/she didn't like/couldn't understand/thought that it was scored wrong ect. It always happens.
- Be prepared for both outcomes. (if it is indeed a tournament.) This time the Decepticons have won, I do infact have a mid battle, as well as Autobots winning texts. Which I am thinking about posting just so peoples can see.
- Don't be afraid to ask for help. Me, I am addicted to the game, so most of the time if I am not at work I am around. In my last few endevours, Ransom, Phasewing, Rolltide, SNAPCASE, Tammuz, Sprockitz, and a few others have been willing to put in a few hours here and few there allowing as many people as posible to play and those organizing to get some rest.
- If you plan on using other people's characters, ASK THEM. I've asked for volunteers, as well as just pmed people if I wanted specifics.

The amount of people that come to the forum aren't the majority of the HMW players, announcing things here means that not everyone will know. Which is why I try to make the choosen missions generic, if your too specific, then it is possible for those missions to be taken by unaware players and have an undesirerable result. Running things for HMW should try to contain as many people as possible.

Some of these things are sort of a given, but just incase I tried to cover most of the things that come to my mind when I do it.

Anyone WANT to see what would have happend IF the Autobots had won?
