I have to agree with Ryan/Seibertron about Euro shipping. My parents live in Denmark, and a couple of weeks ago, I had to send them something via the same method he uses to ship, because it was the fastest (3-5 business days) and also offered tracking. The package was less than a pound by weight, but still cost $48 to send.
I can't speak for craggy by any means, but in my experience, shipping to Europe is VERY expensive, and I figure any extra made in any of these eBay sales is going to help pay for this site, which I have found to be an enormous help in rekindling my love of Transformers after my end of childhood to first live-action movie hiatus in collecting.
Thank you for your purchase, Bounti76! I hope you enjoy your new Rapido figure.
Express Mail International is the service I use because it includes delivery confirmation. Here are the Express Mail International rates right from the USPS website for the UK:
http://ircalc.usps.com/MailServices.asp ... =6&p=1&o=0 (comparable to EMS shipping if any of you use that)
To see that the price doesn't go up that much if you change the weight, just change the bold 2 in the following URL (that's the amount the package weighs in pounds)
http://ircalc.usps.com/MailServices.aspx?country=10150&m=6&p=2&o=0I don't use Priority Mail International and I definitely don't use First Class International because of the problems I've had with both of those services. For example, if a package is stuck in customs, I wouldn't know it because neither of those services provide enough detailed tracking information to let me know that. If a buyer complained about not receiving their package (and the package just happened to be stuck in customs), eBay automatically refunds the buyer the total amount of the item plus the cost of shipping because those services don't include delivery confirmation whereas that feature is included with Express Mail International. That has happened to be me before. I'm out the toy plus the money for the item and the cost of shipping ... meanwhile, the item finally gets out of customs and the buyer gets a free toy.
None of that happens with Express Mail International. Expensive, yes. But worth every penny for peace of mind that an item will arrive safely and quickly and we'll know where it is every step of the way.
