I love Starscream, real Starscream, not 2.9 seconds of movie Starscream, and when people talk about "God, why do people love Starscream? He just whines and schemes and gets kicked in the ass by Megatron?" I don't think it's people being sexist or racist against giant alien robots or whatever. I interpret that as they don't get the love of Starscream, which is perfectly fine. I open doors for my girlfriend not because she can't but because I think it's gentlemanly and polite and proper. I don't like Arcee not because I'm sexist, but becuase I think she's stupid and mostly pointless.

Generally, in life, I hope people get what makes them happy. I don't like Arcee as a character, and I think that making a big deal out of female TFs is dumb, but whatever. I'm not out ot ruin anyone elses' fun on that account. I was just adding my piece.

well there are like a bazzilion fangirls out there that have all made thier own fanfiction about that.

generaly speaking, a machine can look male or female, but in truth a machine has no real gender. Transformers are built, like any machine. Every diffrent Cannon out there pretty much sums that up. few of the well known tf writers have also stated thir disdain for female transformers.

Truth be told, i dont wanna rationalize femmebots. I like them, realistic or not. And honestly, why should we care about female robots being unrealistic? how realistic is the whole transformer concept?

I have my own fanfics out there, as well as a whole slew of female transformers in them. Dont give yourself and everyone a headache trying to make something rational, just enjoy the characters and designs, or dont.

I know, I wasn't like, taking it personally or anything. I don't want to sound all apologettic about it either, but if I came across combatative to you sto, I apologize. I was just saying that when the female TF/Arcee issue comes up it always seems that many of the responses are that some of us are sexist or something for not caring about Arcee, and I just find that ludicrous. Honestly, I knew about Metropolis, and that's a fine film. I really have no problem with Arcee, I just personally don't care for her, and really don't get why female robots are such a sticking point for some people. If that's what you like, hey, great, but don't try to make it seem like I'm sexist or stupid for not agreeing. That just frosts my ass, personally.

Here is my theory about how there could be female TFs...

The Allspark creates life right? And it was designed by some long-ago alien race right?

So what if as part of its purpose in creating life, it must have various ways for any of that life to continue. It might have as part of its programming templates for a male and female. So when it creates a new life, it follows one of these, and a male or female is created. That way they have the ability to reproduce, and spread on that planet.

And Arcee (or whomever) could be one of those females.

with that said, I don't mind female transformers, as long as they arent the cliched bad ass or weakling. Just give me a well written gynoid, with good dialogue and a modicrum of development.

PS: Being an Ex-soldier I do know that females make better combat pilots than guys. But we rock in melee situations.. if we can fight at all that is. ^^

I mean the other TF's are male... so why not female.

I'm a male and I don't have problems with girl TF's, in fact, I think it's cool to have them. Plus, look at TF's like Brawn, the macho bot that he is....he screams male. Or Optimus Prime, with his mighty pecs of courage....if that's not male, then what is?

My own female Transformer, the Maximal named Cherrybomb.

For an interesting mind excercise.....
Here's some info on her and see if anyone has a problem with her, mmkay?

Cherrybomb becomes a rather powerful sports car-like vehicle...though she boaders on muscle car or dragster. She is a techno head, meaning she likes tinkering with devices to make them better, like making a weapon more destructive, or giving a communicator a slightly better range, or making another TF more energy efficient. She also knows how to find and refine energon, be it in crystal or liquid form, into weapons like seen in the energon/superlink series. Her strength tech spec is about 7 or 8, which is stronger then some of the male TF's, and she carries a weapon equivlent to what Cheetor's 'gut gun' fired. And in a crisis, she'd say to whomever, "Don't worry, calm down, let me handle this." And when relaxing on a quiet evening, she'd be having some energon with Overide or Rattrap; or having some alone time with Optimus Primacron ( one of my male Maximal characters ) and/or Smallfoot ( I made her into a Maximal in my stories. ) and thinking Unicron's head looks so lovely in the sky that time of the decacycle.

I think her persona would not fit any steriotypes I can think of, though feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

And, in my opinion, most fellows who don't like female Tf's are typically the ones who, as children, went, "What, girls?! Ewwww, cooties!" Plus they did not like 'their' stuff being 'invaded' by anything female. One female TF I'd love to see done would be that blue, corvette female bot from 4 or 5 years ago....I think she was called Sally-1 or something.

Heck, I'm sure even the Minicons have genders as well.
