First Images of Transformers Animated Prowl and Packaging!
It's a floor wax. No it's a desert topping. No it's a friggin traffic light. Which, being a fan of blunt weapons myself does make for a cool one. (kudos to those of you who get that reference)
Anyways, I keep getting more and more excited for the new series, and the toys. It sure does make the wallet hurt though.

I was expecting more yellow on the packaging,
but as others have said it's the toy I'm after.
At least I know what to look for when I'm at the store.
Edit: Just noticed prowl has a kickstand, awesome.

It's really weird to have a traffic light as a weapon. Because traffic lights in our place are all permanently fixed. Not movable. Not mobile. It's not even carried by the traffic cop.
It's cool to have police-related items as weapons disguise. But try something more logical. Something he can carry around.
Are we going to see a scene like, there's a Decepticon up ahead, Prowl transforms, and runs to a particular road intersection to pick up his... *gasp*.. traffic lights!

I'm going to be tempted to buy these in the store...I know.
Since my initial impressions of them, my opinion of the toys has just gone farther and farther away from positive.
The faces are bothering me that much...

i really dont like the box style, graphics or colours! weaker even than those ultra bland cybertron boxes, the movie boxes at least have a richer feel. I was hoping for a slight homage to the gen 1 style which like Star wars and micronauts of the 70's still doesnt look especially dated, lots of sharp lines and bright colours over black.
prowl, however looks great. ignoring what TF are 'supposed' to look like that is one cool looking toy on its own, a bit generic perhaps but its nicely proportioned and almost has gen 1 homage, well he has wings of sorts?? wheels on his feet and the front of the vehicle becomes his chest!! Remember the whole 'these wont transform' debacle a while back, looks like people are warming to the new toys.

around here traffic lights are attached to the overhanging wire
by a hook.
Although TFA does take place in the future.

That's the first job title I've heard that's better than "ninja consultant."

Looks very similar to ransack.
Also looks like scout size but package says deluxe, but maybe that's not accurate since this is a Production sample.
there is no evidence of any scout sized figures in the animation line. prowl is a delux.

Tha Auction says that The "SUPER BIKE MODE IS APPROX.5 INCHES LONG"
I don't have a ruler on me, but that sounds like a good sized bike alt mode.

He looks pretty cool to me, I'm realy looking forward to seeing the rest. Like someone else said, it'll be nice to have 2 very different TF styles out at the same time. Yay TFA!

Concept BB is about 5" long in alt mode.

Oh my god, I was starting to think the same thing. We even saw the stoplight in the prototype pics from Botcon.

Best SNL commercial ever. Don't worry, comedy will never be lost on me.
I like the look of Prowl. I think the figure will be better then most to come out of the Movie line. I also like the look of the packaging, looks like it will be a 3/4 body shot and not the same badly drawn face and hand much like Cybertron and the last little bit of Alternators.
Can't wait to see more.

We should get more bumblebees then anything else. Im sure hasbro knows how popular he was in the movie line so they will make more.

I agree...these may be very "toony" toys, but it looks like the engineering for them was outstanding. I can't even begin to guess how he transforms by looking at him. He looks very precise...I have to say I am very impressed. I may end up getting this line after all...
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...

he looks pretty cool. It's hard to believe that robot can turn into that motorcycle. I wasn't digging the animated look at first, but the toys are probably gonna get me interested in it. I hope the transformations aren't too simple.

I'll jump right on the bandwagon and say that I was unimpressed at first (and probably still won't get into the cartoon...). However, the toys are closing the deal for me. I see this line as another I might go completist on. They're just quirky and different enough to be interesting for me.

I'm really not digging the package, or the figure for that matter. Its got a decent vehicle mode, but I'm totally turned off by the bot mode (as I am with most of this series)Its a good thing Universe is coming out in the same year- It'll give me something else to blow my money on instead of this load of fail. |:[
And while we're on subject, the transformation isn't that hard to figure out- took me a second or two of glancing over it. The way I see it the wheels fold down to form the legs, and the rear/seat split out to form the arms. Then fold the front/ headlight part out from the main body (which forms those wierd-ass wing things) And there you have it. Add in goofey ninja stars and traffic light "flail" and there you go :\
