For a long long long time I have been wishing for something as cool as this.

As much as I love transformers- I've never been a car person. This probably explains why I really hated the Bay movie.

I love the sci-fi, the cool robots, and most of all- GIANT ROBOT DINOSAURS!

The MP Grimlock is stunning. He'll be the first MP I own (woulda been Screamer if he didn't have the weird hip swords).

And he'll live next to Godzilla on my shelf.

I thought he'd be something like Classics Grimlock, but with vastly improved robot mode, and the correct transformation.

I'd still like to see the colored final version. Maybe not be too bad at all.

Hey, maybe we'll see a Godzilla crossover repaint somtime soon.

Godzilla is the only dino i know of that MP Grimlock resembles.

I do love MP-Grimlock,so much so that as previously stated I ordered two.That being said,I can understand the underwhelmed peoples point of view also.Considering it was tough to improve upon the original G1 design I do think the figure is overpriced.How much engineering could it have possibly taken to do this figure? I understand the costs of tooling,packaging,molds....etc....etc....but from my understanding the engineering side is where the money is really spent.With MP-screamer,prime,and megs you could really see the intricate detailing and masterfull engineering.I guess with MP-Grims you don't see that so much.So why the higher price? I can see why people are having a hard time justifying $150.00 for a larger G1 grims with a few gimmicks.I for one however still love it,but I understand! At 7lbs he will be a monster WHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!! =P~

Improvements went to the robot mode only.

Unlike Prime, Megatron and Starscream, whose got loads of improvements on both modes, which differentiates them by a mile from their G1 origin. MP Grimlock looks like half-cooked growing-up G1.

Are you suggesting the number of words I use to communicate a relatively simple concept could be seen as excessive by certain indivduals? :-B

...but I don't remember Percepter ever using the phrase "poop your pants"

They definitely made the right decision with the alt mode, if they'd gone with a more realistic t-rex mode he wouldn't look like Grimlock. Assuming you can pose him in a more aggressive looking stance all will be well.

And the robot mode has five flavours of awesome.

As long as he doesn't come with an apron I'll be happy.

Grimlock looks good. But it's waht you don't see that will make the best Masterpiece yet or just an over-sized, overpriced classic. I'll have to see alot more of him before I pass judgement.

Mickey looks neat. I see him being targeted at girls.

Grimlock is perfect, asuming they don't botch the colors up. MIGHT look into buying that one, hopefully it'll be done with US safety standards in mind and Hasbro will release it for less.

The mickey Mosue thing... hmm.... that IS a Tomy product, right? If not they're certainly copying Optimus Prime awfully hard there...

I just hope the guy that went and F up the seeker mold won't be let near this Grimlock. Cos I can soo see him going, "This looks too much like the old one, lets make it looks different, hey how about compromising the robot mode? I'll just do it any way."

It looks like MPr Grimlock has the most articulation of all MPs! Look at his legs!

I'm loving MP Grimlock. But one thing I noticed after looking at these pics is that it seems as though he transforms very similarly to his G1 counterpart. With some added articulation of course. And most likely some added features. Maybe a missile launcher. And I'm hoping that his Energo-Sword is a translucent red plastic like the axe & mace for Prime & Megatron's Energon weapons.
