Galvatron was suffering from a form of CPU/Brain damage caused by the plasma, as was confirmed in the episode Webworld.babylon queen wrote:Galvatron seems to care more about his bath of ooze which he appears to be drowning in than his poor starving decepticons and his elite guard. GAlvatron doesn't need a traitor, spy, or autobot rival leader or warrior to geive him a challege .He seems to be sometime his own worst enemy especially after he pulled the level of the Quintessons wanted pulled to take control of Cybertron.

Yes, he definetly had brain damage by the FFOD.
Whether it was the plasma, Unicron, or both, who knows.

Dude, what is your problem?
Since when did you become the official Supreme know-it-all of TF knowledge?
I, personally, believe that it was caused by the multiple factors already mentioned along with the fact that another contribution to his insanity was from him regretting having Rodimus Prime as his main enemy. Seriously, Galvatron always seemed a little saner when he had Ultra Magnus or Optimus (during his rebirthes) as his enemy rather than Rodimus.

Why would a Quintesson agent know anything about Unicron?
The two factions are completely unrelated.

Because Damolisher said so! Are you questioning him?

The Torqulons did NOT work for the Quintessons. They ran a universally insane assylum. The Quintessons just used this as means to trick Cyclonus into admitting Galvatron there in a ploy to try and get rid of him. The fact that the planet was self-sustaining only confirms that they had nothing to do with the Quintessons, other than maybe some trade here and there. (The series confirmed that many Quints did trade with other planets). The way the Torqulons operated they would either cure the patient or purge the patient. Either way, it would have meant the end of Galvatron. Were it not for the fact that instead of purging Galvatron's mind, the planet's core got invaded by Galvatron's mind instead.Damolisher wrote:(And don't give me any bunk about "He didn't know about Unicron." Not arguing the point, just a little trivia. Originally, the Quints were agents of Unicron, and followed after him cleaning up what he left behind. This was all before they were retconned into being the creators of the Transformers, of course.

After seeing what Rodimus did to him in TFTM, I could see why he might feel that way.

When he tells Cyclonus that Galvatron will become a blank, Cyclonus shouts out
"No! You can't change him!" or something to that effect.
The doctor replies
"But he has been changed. That's the problem"
I think the reformatting set the basis for the madness, but it was the plasma bath that set it loose fully.
I think those two, as well as loosing Cybertron and Rodimus Prime appearing before him pushed him over the edge.
Or maybe he just landed on his head. I'm sure that would make anyone crazy.

Wasn't Unicron torturing Galvatron as he was being destroyed?

Unicron wasn't created by the Quintessons, though, he was created by someone else (forget the name) whose lab was smashed by Grimlock in Call of the Primitives.

He probably hated that for once he got a bath, then Cyclonus interrupts his bath. Everyone would go bonkers then ^^

I do always wonder how Prime knew him as Galvatron straight away, not mentioning anything about his change. But then, even as I type this, I realise it was already established by the Goldbug reformatting that it is commonplace for TFs to get new names after a repaint/resculpt.
I think he must have retained this sanity into The Rebirth as well. He's not quite at Megatron levels of stability IMO, but he did manage to come up with a plan that actually worked. And he would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for those pesky (Nebulan) kids!
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

If you think about it its not so hard to see how Optimus knew who Galvatron was.First ,they had been enemey's so long that it could be that they would know each other nomater what body they were in. Second ,He could have gotten the information from the Matrix of leadership...........and before someone says that he didnt have it yet at that point in the story REMEMBER Dark Awakening......Rodimus gave him the Matrix in that story and he had it for a while and could have retained the information.

He could simply be referring to the fact that he went from sane to crazy.

My guess is he mis-read your post you do have the words "Unicron" and "he work for" pretty close together so its a eazy mistake. No big deal.
