I just bought FOC Optimus prime last week. I was initially excited until i removed him from the bubble. Boy was a disappointed. He felt sooo freakin' cheap! Flimsy, and lightweight. Is it safe (yt sorrowful) to assume Grimlock will be the same way when hes released next year? Seeing as how hes from the same line?

Adam,
It's worth noting that Soundwave/blaster is pretty awesome. If anything it's reasonably to assume FoC Grimlock will be awesome (if a tad on the light side). And with
some ratchet joints at least.

That Prime mold is pretty pathetic.

I don't have it, but from what I've heard it's not -that- bad. The aesthetic is nice, but yeah it is pretty small. Jazz on the other hand has no excuses for being as bad as it is.

Just because it's in the same line doesn't mean every toy in the line will suck. PRiD gave us awful figures like Airachnid, yet they gave us incredible ones like Vehicon & Soundwave too.

In the sense of the transformation its self, its not terrible. But damn does it feel cheap! I honestly thought someone swapped out with a KO version. Don't buy it!

TFs in general are "cheaper" quality-wise than they were in years before, so it's almost guaranteed that Grimlock will suffer from thinner parts, hollow sections, lighter plastic, smaller size, minimal paint aps, etc..

Grimlock will be Voyager-sized, so that should add a bit of weight compared to Prime. Also, he will be larger (if only a little bit) so he might fit better in your hand and you can handle him better. I'm certainly looking forward to him.

FOC Prime has a fairly good design, but yeah. Not the best quality. Jazz fails in almost every single way. What's worse is comparing him to Classics Jazz. ouch!
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

I'm just hoping that as good as Grim looks he actually can be posed worth a damn and doesn't suffer "static torso" syndrome like FOC Jazz.
Ditto big hollow gaps.................

Yeah, they're only a little larger than the previous deluxes. Everything's getting smaller.

I will probably sound like a total retard asking this, but are there any scheduled ''Reveal the Shield'' voyagers being released?

I nearly peed my shorts when I unpacked GDO Hot Spot, the size and plastic quality kick any PRID voyager's skidplate.
Love thy pretenders.

Someone on tfw has a comparison pic and FOC Voyager Soundwave towers over Henkei Classics Ultra Magnus by about an inch...
If Grimlock is that size it will be absolutely KILLER!!!!! This guy is so bought!
When is the next convention to see if we get an announcement for more FOC Dinos???
