you know? silverbolt? the guy being voiced by James Avery in DOTM.
Where is here? We already have toys coming out and we're getting close to movie time, but he still hasn't been revealed. WHY???

I was guessing he was the bot tag teaming with prime while he was flying, and seperated in the trailer before Prime spun down the street smashing Cons. It's possible Optimus has his own means of flight now( May be he retained some of the power up of Jetfire), but assuming he doesn't Silverbolt likely was the cause of him being airborne as it looked like he let go of Prime upon landing.

I'm starting to think he won't be in DOTM. Even though we have confirmation from Mr. Avery doesn't mean his character made it into the final product.

My guess, "Silverbolt" was an early working name for the character that became Sentinel Prime.

Nimoy replased Avery as the voice.

I hope that's not the case. Silverbolt is my favorite Transformer, I was really hoping see an Aerial bot make it to the big screen.

I don't believe so on their site they still have silverbolt listed for the autobots...time will tell I guess.

They showed James Avery doing voice of Sentinel Prime on IDMB for the game of Dotm. So it's very likely Silverbolt was placeholder for the cast till later as other said.I'd love for this to all be wrong as I want to see Silverbolt make an appearance as badly anyone else out there. (if I had my choice Scott McNeill would be voicing him merging elements of G1 and Beast Wars.)

Besides the autobots could really use something with wings in their line up besides Optimus. It would have ruled to see Silverbolt and Starscream have an aerial battle over the skies of Chicago....a fanboy can dream.

Silverbolt is in the video-game, but not playable.

Silverbolt will not be in the movie. He is one of the many misinformation stuffs that we'd been given.

I'm guessing that Prime's new trailer combines with him to form that mode

I would like to seeSilverbolt with a G1 appearence, but a BW Personality

Oh lordie.

No mention of him whatsoever after the initial interview in any interviews, announcements or anything.
No announced toys of him or even info that might suggest a planned toy of him.
No evidence AT ALL of him being in the movie, no mention in bios, activity books, etc.
No appearance in either novel or comic even though they were written after the initial interview.

We KNOW the jet-pack is Prime's trailer, we have the toy, we have the novel, we have the video-game, we know it is not Silverbolt. If Silverbolt was in the movie, we would have had some information on him but we have had absolutely zero. Consider my statement false all you like, he is not in the movie and denial won't change that.

By all means, dear, keep dreaming. But you will be disappointed.

The only inclination I had for Silverbolt being in the movie was that he would be a space shuttle. But it seems that's not the case. The fact that a voice actor was hired to voice him could be that he's a game exclusive or that it was a very elaborate misinformation. Bay isn't a stranger to this. Personally, I thought he could be a space shuttle or be Air Force One, but that's just me thinking wishfully.

I'm not saying he's in the movie for a fact, I'm trying to figure out why you think by all this information here that he's not in the movie, period. In the final edits of the film (probably after the book was written), don't you think Silverbolt could've had a flashback appearance of some sort?

I don't give a flying petrorabbit if Silverbolt is in the movie or not, but you are denouncing his apperance too much when enough information has been given about him (James Avery said that he would voice Silverbolt somewhere, he's in the Autobot listings...)

You are making a speculation, not stating a fact. I want to see you come back, and bring some information from somebody who's behind the scenes of this movie, and let them say that he's not in the final cut.

I've finished what I had to say, please finish this in a PM if you have the actual proof in writing directly from a reliable source. Now by all means, Seibertronions, return to topic...

If you played the game, you'd know he isn't going to be in the movie, because of what happens to him in the starscream level.

You're not mistaken and its still questionable whether the twins will be in the final movie. The argument is if they were removed from the movie. We know that at least at one stage they were definitely going to be planned, which is why they are featured in the comic and novel. And who knows? Their appearance is still possible.

This is still on topic. The thread is asking where Silverbolt is. We are discussing why he isn't in the movie. Although you're making an unreasonable request, while the evidence is not conclusive, it points strongly to the idea that Silverbolt won't be in the movie.

And yes, him being in a flashback is possible, although I don't think its likely.

Finally,he dies in the game, which is a prequel.

So was I, it made sense, especially with it detaching. But there hasn't been any news on him...

Silverbolt may still be in the movie but in a less pronounced role - like Jolt was in ROTF - we never see him until it's time to revive Optimus Prime. In fact, as far as Jolt was concerned, I didn't even notice him until about the 439,732nd time I watched the film lol

Incorrect, that's not the only time we see Jolt. We see him when He, Ironhide, Sideswipe, and Ratchet are cornered by N.E.S.T (almost directly after Optimus dies), and on the road once
