I thought toys like Armada Smokescreen, Armada Sideswipe, Armada Overload or Energon Wing Saber were much worse.Counterpunch wrote:The Master Blaster wrote:How so?
For instance, I feel that these toys are far more comparable to Fast Action Battlers than they are to any main line in the past few years.
Dr. Z wrote:I have Animated Prime, Bumblebee and Lockdown myself. I can't see how you can even remotely compare them to the inarticulated bricks that for the most part are FABs that transform into 3 steps at the most. Like the reviewer is pointing out, Bumblebee's transformation is pretty much on par with movie figures. Prime and Lockdown are pretty good in the transformation department as well. And they're all very well articulated. It's one thing to dislike the look, but to pretend they're under-engineered is just being ignorant.

ah, i thought it could be that but i was trying to figure out what liking/not liking a show had to do with liking/not liking toys which are two totally different entities.
i like a toy for its own merits alone, maybe some people need to like a cartoon first and then buy a toy, i dont understand that. its a bit like when somebody says i hate classics 2 pack megatron/prime but i have to buy them because I love 2 packs! or i hate movie megs but have to buy it because megs is my favourite decepticon, seems a waste of money to me.
I enjoyed the TF movie but I dont like the toys, except for jazz, who i bought.

Ignorance : to be unaware of certain things.
If you feel insulted by what is just an objective observation, I can't do anything about it.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

Word. Although most of the Animated figures are readily available on Ebay for pretty decent prices (most of them $30 shipped), I'm trying to wait so I have something to buy in stores when they come out. I only got 3 (Prime, Lockdown and Bumblebee) so far to get a taste of the line, but the minute they're out, I'll jump on Prowl and Starscream (okay, all the others too) in a snap. Prowl looks intriguing, I still can't figure out how he transforms except for the arms.
How about a late March release?
