All the animated figures look great. I am suprised that people havent complained about the look of the cartoon. I know sometimes people dont like change when it comes to TF. I loved the movie and what BAY did. I love the look of the cartoon to. As long as its TF i love it.

lol Ratchet gerwalk mode!
Damn he's fabulous, but those tabs on the sides of the alt mode are just off.
Oh well, still nothing beats movie legends BB with the giant shoulderpads sticking out.
This not badass. It's so BAD, it's ASS!

I think I’ll get this one, he doesn’t look too bad, but a little weak in certain parts.
I like some change in my transformers, especially the movie, all the movie designs were quite artistic IMO. But for me it depends on the change, Ben Ten Transformers is not how I wanted to see them so animated is a change for the worse to me.

Yeah I'm not really feeling Ratchet, the droopy car front and the legs just put me of.. I'd rather save my money for Leader Earth Mode Megs and Leader Bulkhead (just for the Headmaster Sound effect.)

I think you missed the anihate when the first news of this line and cartoon arrived, the amount of negative speculation was unprecedented from the usual 'this has ruined my childhood' to the most parochially minded argument yet 'its not what im used to' and then of course all the nonsense about the toys, none of which was realised: 'they will be cybertron repaints' (i still dont understand how that one was dreamt up), 'they will be rubber non transformable toys', 'they just cant make toys that look like that transform', simply a massive lack of imagination, anyway looks like many are now ready for june to arrive, like them or not theres a tendancy for toy fans to want novelty and pay for it, when the movie toys repaints start to get stale (start??) they will be a breath of fresh air in the toy isles.

Re: Further Images of Transformers: Animated Ratchet
I can't wait for this figure, Ratchet is one om my fav Animated characters and I've been looking foward to this toy for a while. It's really show accurate, and it looks like you can fit the EMP generator from the Lockdown toy onto Ratchet's "War Wound" from Thrill of the Hunt

Re: Further Images of Transformers: Animated Ratchet
Like someone else posted, only thing I don't like is seeing the hinges on the sides in alt mode. Should have made him just a bit bigger, just enough so those hinges were hidden.
But he's still awesome. Forget G1 and Movie Ratchets, Animated Ratchet is THE Ratchet to me. Can't wait to pick him up.

I hate that we have to wait until August (I'm being realistic..there's NO WAY the toys will be out in June in my area) for these toys. I'm really liking them all...

It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

maybe its the novelty of the new look but do i detect more anticipation of animated toys than anything before?? it could simply be because of the known wait period but those bold sculpts and bright colours make these look like 'proper' toys, i didnt get that vibe from the movie line.

Ha! He comes with a bunch of tools! I've always wanted Ratchet to come with tools. It's just right. The figure looks small. Is this a deluxe? It's a terrific transformation, just he has those big hinges on the side of his alt mode. If there's a larger Ratchet along the same lines, I'll probably opt for that one, but once again we're seeing a design that takes a very new aesthetic and succeeds with a surprising amount of 'toon accuracy.

I always can't wait to see a new cartoon series of Tfs to see wether or not i like them. I always do in some form or another. Either story, animation or individual characters. The animated series is one that grew on me from the start! I love it! And i must say the figures do it justice and look great! I can't wait to get them!

I can't explain it, but for some reason Ratchet is my son's favorite character after BB, so we will be picking this one up for sure.
Of course, if him and I have our way, we will get one of each character (plus an extra Voyager Prime just for me)

Re: Further Images of Transformers: Animated Ratchet
If I want a Ratchet in this color scheme, I'm going for Rescue Ratchet.
This just doesn't look right. I don't know, he looks dead.
Not in the cool way either, more like in the I found Grandma after 4 days in winter dead.
and they wonder why I have issues

Yeah, I'm not liking Fatformers too much. Bay movie was a step in the right direction, Animated, wrong.

Re: Further Images of Transformers: Animated Ratchet
I'm lovin this mold. Ratchet has to be one of my favorite characters from the show and th figure does him great justice. Except for his face. It looks a little strange... maybe because it's just a pre-production figure? The figure looks really poseable and very pleasing to the eyes. I mean heck he's a deluxe with poseable HANDS! That's so awsome. I'll definitely be picking up Ratchet.

Ratchet is easily my favorite character on the animated series, and his toy does not seem to disapoint.
