Playtime means more XP, so generally, yeah, but just because you have more XP, doesn't mean you've been upgrading smartly.

no, and you know why? becuase beating Gore when he was a level 10 was in no way comaparable to beating a reset Gore at level 0.

Umm maybe it was all the years you played which made your cons better last time. I'm pretty sure level 10's could beat my level 1's all day and night. Thing is we don't have that right now. We have an even playing field.

Since you are the master with numbers and formula break downs. Could you explain what skill it takes to play this game at level 0-1?
Is there more then just speed and avoid at this current time? Is time put into the game equal the skill or just increase the amount of xp you will have?

I don't really agree, because you're denying them the right to brag. In football, if a normally sub-par team manages to beat a normally superb team because that team has been having a crap season, they still get to brag about beating the superb team, right? It's just the way it works and you shouldn't take it so personal (IMHO).

And calling people noobs isn't fair. Newbies, yes. Noobs, no. There's a crucial difference.

when i started we had an uneven playing field the bots majorly outnumbered the cons in the early levels, then it shiftedin favour of the cons at the higher levels (we just seem to be more addictable), so i had to defect to the preds so i could find some opposition.

it's time and numbers and avoid at level 0.

if you can outnumber your enemy, you're pretty much gauranteed victory, with a prize off 100xp (the same as you get for beating up an entire level 0 by yourself) avoid pays off 50xp, the same as killing half a level 0. no ram, no strafe, no weapon can do that much damage. in a single blow for quite some time, and will require a large investment of xp.

like wise if you can do 8 missions a day(maybe 4 hours) and win all of them you'll still only get the same xp as someone who can play for 8 hours and only win half of them, it's alot easier to build a bot of the latter type than a bot of the former.

the other advantage of avoid is that it tends to cut down CR time. if you have the same 4 hours of play time, but a third of the time all your bots are in cr thats a third of your play time gone, a bot with avoid is likey to recive less damage in the same mission as a bot without, less damage less CR time, more play time more xp.

and FYI CRG is useless


EDIT: and i am aware of the difference Sharpie; but to use your analogy, them beating me now is like Cambridge united braggin about how they beat the England's 66 world cup team; it's not really very hard considering all of them are about retirement age.

At this low of level, the RNG plays a bigger factor. Same bots with the same stats should be a even fight, with one barely inching out a victory over the other, repeat and the other should win, but since the RNG is a fickle mistress, you can win ten or fifteen matches in a row to people with more upgrades then you at level 0, then lose 40 in a row. If you've ever played table topping, you know that all the plusses in the world can't save a bad roll on the die, and the samething happens here.

Rest on your laurals whilst you can. Cuase as soon as none avoid tactics start to mean something, then you'll see a lot of us 'old timers' (especilyl the onesi n the beast factions) beat the snot out of your 'fantastic' tfs.

What they don't realize is by the time they reach level 2, all those empty missions that they're winning and getting 100 XP for is really really gonna stunt their growth, and we, being a smaller faction and more organized, will be able to pick our battles to maximize our XP growth, leveling up faster then the rest of them. So, let them enjoy their time on top while they have it. Let them enjoy their easy victories while they outnumber everyone. We all already know who's going to be on top in the end.

Look, I also liked the time when I was at the top of the game. I like it like every one of you do. But that time is gone. Doesn't mean I haven't got cool memories from it though. I enjoy the game after the R as well though, don't you?

pRed is right about this aggression. It is because some of you aren’t used to being left behind. I can understand how people might feel if they were on top of the world and then all of a sudden they aren’t anymore.

The fact is, just because you have been here for years, doesn’t make you the best. It shows you have experience. There is always someone better then you. Every record is meant to be broken.

I like to make things fun and have a challenge. I’ll call you out and do my best to beat you. I might fail or I might be the victor but in the case I lose I will have no problem accepting that the better person won.

I think the point they're trying to make is that the new people should respect their elders. Yeah, they're the top players now. And that's fine. Maybe they can hold onto it longer then some of the others have in the past. Maybe not. Who knows, future is malible and the game goes down and people lose interest. But to go "Ha! I just kicked your ass! I'm way better then you!" when, if you go back a month, they weren't, and even if Tammuz or Redimus weren't the top player in game, they were good, and they were (mostly) respected, and for someone who's bragging about beating them and only beating them because 4-5 years of work was wiped out is kinda like someone smacking your mom at yer dad's funeral while t-bagging your little sister before taking a deuce on your gramma. It's an insult. They could handle it better, but in somecases, I think they're right.

When someone cracks a joke about him or posts about beating him, he comes across as rather hostle and basically a tool. He talks crap, but gets insulted when someone throws a shovel full back at him. If he can't take it, he shouldn't sling it first. Of course, since it's text, emotions don't carry over so maybe he's not upset and just really really sucks at phasing things.

It's a game, and it's all good. It's competitive, and competition brings out smack talk. It's a fact of life.

Blurrz knew he was wrong. His words were also taking the wrong way, but that's besides the point. He knew he was wrong AND he apologized. Besides, how old is he really? 17? 18? Junior mistake which he handled pretty well IMHO.

All in all I think some people are picking the wrong fight and it's not making them look good. Which is a shame, because they're good people.
