Look, I also liked the time when I was at the top of the game. I like it like every one of you do. But that time is gone. Doesn't mean I haven't got cool memories from it though. I enjoy the game after the R as well though, don't you?

why's it bullshit? i'm still the same person as i was 3 weeks back, and i'm still not impressed by their brags, mainly cos it's based just on time played rather than skill, and when it comes to time played, i've totalled a hell of a lot more time played than these guys.

a viable level 1 medic would impress me.

Blackburn would cheer if they managed to beat Arsenal next season even if Arsenal would be #17 and they'd be #2.

Killing you (a name in HMW) is something they have every right to be proud of.

Than again, after the reset, killing you in a cool mission is just as brag worthy as killing any other average joe in the same cool mission.

Don't be bitter and don't take it all in the wrong way I say.

They're not deliberately taking jabs at us vets.

What else do I have then time? I'm outnumbered in activity, and lacking general teching experience. I don't see why my strategy of time-consumtion should be considered an 'unworthy' way to play HMW. That's how I play, that's how i'm 13th.

Also, i'm not saying the past is worthless. But as of right now, does the past generate anything for us in the past? The only thing we have experience and old friends, and that's all I'm working with... I'm doing just fine.

Also, yeah, Tam's right. Currently the game is geared to favour someone who plays more often, but within about 6 months to year, it'll right itself again, and we'll be seeing actual know-how become important again, which is where players who've been around long enough to crack the optimum set-ups and stat combinations will be able to reassert themselves over the 'zerg rush' top 200 we've got.

Thank you. I don't actually think that I have been obnoxious at all. I have kept what little bragging I have done to a bare minimum, as I realize that this reset has caused a lot of grief. I have just been trying to have a good time, learn the game and develop friendships. Somewhere along the line, it has all gone downhill, lol.

I can't speak for everybody, but, I do my best to LEARN from the "elders", in order to become a better player and help enhance the gameplay for everybody and help add to, not detract from, the game's elders' ranks.

Perhaps there are people that are "rubbing stuff" in people's faces that I am not aware of. If so, that's just plain wrong as well. I certainly amm not trying to prove that I am better than you, Tammuz, Sustain or anybody else. I am just saying that perhaps the reset is an opportunity to build an even bigger active player base than before.

Prior to the reset, my chances of ever getting into the top ranks was slim to none. At least not for many years to come. For god's sake, people had millions and millions of XP and were growing daily! lol I, on the otherhand was ranked 7800 something, lol.

Let's just all try and enjoy the game and the renewed competition that the reset has generated!

No. Your annology is broken. It's more like Hull City back when they were in the old 4th devision celebrating beating the post Munich Busby Babes...

Whereas you're compairing it to Hull City now Beating Arsenal now.

Arsenal are still a quality team.
The Busby Babes were completly distoryed by Munich.

Well I bet with more time you'll be higher than I am. That is of course if I stop with my activity. I knew that with this serv reset it would be my chance for me to gain some sort of glory. While I haven't exactly achieved being #1 in anything belonging to Faction stats or Autobot stats, I'm still happy with what I am. I'm not disrespecting the amount of time you've put in over the past 5 years. I honestly think it's low for all of our past EXP to be drained back to 0.

Sadly, that's the way it is. And right now, im just trying to be the best Autobut I can.

It is a perfectly harmless way of releavign some pent up agression when the game isnt going your way (which is 90% of the time if you're a pred, remember that Blurzz in particular, *THAT* is why you are comfortably ahead of me, and dont you forget it). To me, you were NEVER a good player. You merely come along lately and fed off the XP of higher levels.

Now, here you are, without higher levels to feed off, and you're hiding behind the excuse of being in an outnumbered faction.

To those who are at the top, keep it up guys. Putting in a lot of hours without a higher level to leech off is the hardest way to play the game, and you should be damn proud of your achievements. Brag all you want and ignore those who are simply jealous.

this community has too much pent up aggression as is, the fallout from dark tidings marred the game for along time, i'd rather get this out in the open now, than after it's festered for a bit. if people had actually talked about DT i don't think it would have been so bad.

Actually, without the server reset, you would have still had a shot at the top spot. When I first started playing, a guy by the name of Evil Link was the top spot. Last I had checked before the reset, Burn had taken the top spot from I believe Sproketz, who had taken it from someone else. I'd gotten up around the top 60, and that's with my not being here more then I was (Spidey, on the other hand, was top ten and we started around the same time). Sustain started later then me as far as I know and had advanced into the top of the list. Everyone who plays for a long time gets a shot. Some people take longer, some don't. Some of the ones who were in the top spots take time off for various reasons.

Saying that the reset gave you a chance to claim a high spot is basically like saying you suck.

And as for knowledge about how to build a character, the ones you're insulting (intentionally or not) are two of the best at it. You could have learned a lot from them. I don't know how the Autobots are now, but when I was one, there was really no organization. The AWC was run pretty poorly. Maybe it's improved and you can get some tips from them about building.

And finally, I don't know what game you're playing, but I always see full Autobots in missions unless it's midnight-1AM, so you're not out numbered. You can't be to badly outnumbered in the faction with the highest population.

One of these days I hope to find out what the hell happened with Dark Tidings.

You know what. I will say it. Back then I sucked. There's no way in hell my 1 year experience could match someone with 5 years experience. That doesn't mean I'm going to give up playing though.

And did you notice how your progress slowed?

I noticed all this. You, Hoistimus, and others. You all rose quickly through the ranks leeching off higher levels until you reached those levels yourselves and then your progress slowed dramatically.

They're not hurting anyone, and if they promote healthy competition and bring life to the forums, then I say do it even more!

Don't get me wrong, I more or less agree with you, especailly for Tam. He's grown to be pretty annoying over the time. I much liked him before DT, and yeah, DT sucked, brought about a bad time for HMW, but it's been a couple of years. If it's still bothering him, he really needs to get a wetnap to get that sand out. And I mean that with all due respect. Then maybe BC Tam can come back and be more fun.

And yeah, the reset sucks Beast Machines, but it is what it is. Crying about it wont bring it back. But at the same time, I think both sides are at fault.

I gave up playing HMW 16+ hours a day for a better job and a much happier outlook on life.

As much as i'd love to be playing 16+ hours with this reset, I have to look at the positive direction my life has taken. So pass all you want, eventually you'll reach a higher level and i'll leech off YOU!
