We now return to our regularly scheduled progress, already in session.
MuraMasa: The Demon BladeStarted the game, played the Tutorial, playing the game on Shura (hard) difficulty as Momohime. Made it through the Iza forest only to find my body separated from the spirit posessing it. Took back the body but was attacked by a one-eyed monk. Defeated the monk but the soul of Momohime was stolen. Fearing for my stolen life if any harm comes to her soul, I'm currently tracking down the soul theif in the Mugashi province.
Update: Tracked down the thief and collected Momohime's soul by defeating a fiery wheel demon boss. Now I need a way to get me out of her body, her back into her own body, and me into a new male body.
Tracked down a samurai involved in Momohime's death. Fought him and won, but found that the sword we needed wasn't in his possession and was still in a town far to the east. Momohime apparently had a relationship with this guy and made me spare his life. Left him in a shack for his own troops to find and took off.
PainKiller: Battle out of HellCleared the Colloseum level. A long one but a fun one (clocked in at 43 minutes to complete with 371 enemies killed). Moving on to the Underworld.
Saints Row 2Turns out that my rise to power was orchestrated by the Ultor corporation. By inciting gang wars, the company could buy the contested land at low land values and redevelop it for a heavy profit. With the other gangs out of the way, all they had left was my gang.
On that note, the Ultor forces led an assault attempting to assassinate me and my liutenants. Escaped and rescued my lieutenants and ran to safety.
In response, located their primary research facility (an underground complex called the Pyramid), infiltrated it, planted explosives, and ran like hell.
UPDATE: GAME.OVER!
After the Pyramid mission, was tipped off to the location of a party being held by the Ultor execs. Raided and slaughtered all attendees. Turns out the Exec who attacked us earlier sent the message and is now in full control of the company. Oops... To make a final end to this, attempted an assassination at a press conference but he got away. Chased him down but he managed to reach the Ultor HQ and put it in lockdown. Plan B: Grab a helicopter, destroy the building's defenses, then leap from the helicopter into the exe's office. Did so and sent him flying out another window to the bottom of the skyscraper. My homies arrived late and we all took another helicopter back home. We now rule the city.
This game kicks ass. A game with zero morality, zero consequences, and pure mindless fun (PC version port problems notwithstanding).Altogether the game clocked me at 43 hours of playtime, and I loved every moment of it. How can you not enjoy a game where one of the lead characters refuses a rescue because he's having too much fun in a firefight with the authorities?
