Still, I'd be down for a Borderlands novel. I know it's not supposed to be about the story, but I really think everything would be better if we'd hear the Vault Hunters input on things. Especially snarky comments. And a great emphasis on Moxxi's apparent bisexuality.

I'd be more interested in an adventure comic book than a novel, but a novel would be able to pull the story together, flesh it out, and add some depth to the characters and universe. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be one of those lame-ass game-tie-in cashgrabs.

More like Eric Nylund's Halo novels, less like, let's say, Exodus, the War for Cybertron tie-in that had barely anything to do with WfC.

Yeah, exactly. I made the mistake of buying that Metal Gear Solid 1 novel, thinking, "Well, if it's essentially the novelization of the script, how bad can it be?"
SPOILER: It was bad.

Or like the first two Splinter Cell novels. I only read like one chapter of the third one but it wasn't as good, for example, chapters focusing on Fisher weren't narrated first-person like the first two. The first two were really good, though.

Mass Effect 2:
I haven't played them yet, but I got the Kasumi DLC and Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC. I'm going to re-import my FemShep to do them first, then finish the main game as regular Shepard, before re-importing him as well. (So I can keep my romance with Liara going in Shadow Broker, and by "romance" I mean "giggity")

EDIT: interesting fact, and Sly I know you're reading and you'll want to hear this, ME3 is now up for preorder. I'm not preordering until I know I can run it. A demo would be nice.

YES!!! I'm definately going to preorder it as soon as I can! :KREMZEEK:

Mass Effect 1 and 2

I'm going back through both games, playing as the ULTIMATE RENEGADE character. I just go through the games holding the analog stick down and pressing A on the 360 controller. I want to try to get Shepard killed at the end of ME2. I've never done it and every time I try I end up living anyway! Who ever though suicide would be this impossible!?

Mass Effect 2:
Before doing Omega, took a detour to the Citadel for some delicious Kasumi. After recruiting Zaeed, Garrus, and Mordin on Omega, I went and did Kasumi's Loyalty mission. Since I'm FemShep, got a sexy little black dress to wear to the swanky party. Then we got all Ocean's 11 and cracked a vault. (Hid our equipment in a statue of Saren, of all people, Shepard couldn't help glaring at it) in true Shepard style, we had to shoot our way out. Kasumi got her boyfriend's graybox (Essentially a backup of various memories) but had to destroy it because it contained some seriously incriminating dirt on the Alliance.

Fun coincidence: Shepard's pseudonym was Alison Gunn, but waaaaay back in ME1, I had randomly picked Allison as FemShep's name.

Kasumi, damn it, stop hacking my Steam account.

Met up with Delicious Quorra and Radia the Admin. Finished off the rest of Chapter 3 and did the Light Cycle section at the start of Chapter 4, earning me the Achievement for distance travelled in Light Tank or on a Light Cycle.

Having a lot more fun than I thought I would. The game's longer than I anticipated, too. Finally getting the hang of group combat and blocking/parrying.

Mass Effect 2:
I decided playing through the entire game again to get to Lair of the Shadow Broker would take too long, so I instead loaded up my male Shepard. Still had some work ahead of me; I had to do loyalty missions for Thane, Zaeed, and Kasumi, as well as obtaining the Reaper IFF, Legion's loyalty mission and, obviously, the Suicide mission. I COULD technically do the game right now, but I wanted to do it post-final boss. If it turns out that doing it after the final boss will make ME3 not count it in save transfer data, then, hey, I can always try again.

Also, those of you have played and beat ME2, during Legion's loyalty mission, did any of you happen to shoot Legion by accident? Pretty much everything in the Geth Station is blue and it's fairly dark, so it makes it harder to distinguish Legion's distinct armor in the heat of battle. I asked Tweezy but he said he never made that mistake, but I think it'd be a fairly common mistake.

The Legendary Starfy (DS)
I'm now in World 3, and of course after the heat of Hotcha Springs I get an ice world. Hope I don't get pneumonia ;) The first level is fun, but some nasty penguins decided it would be fun to roll me up in a snowball near the end.
I still say that if you like Kirby, you'll like Starfy. Just be prepared to be bombarded with a lot of side characters. :P

Glory of Heracles (DS)
Here's what I have to report. Started washed up on a beach (sounds familiar) on Crete. Wondered a bit, when I suddenly ran into a boy/girl(?) being chased by a soldier. Rather, he/she ran into me and pushed me off a cliff. Ouch. Being immortals we both survived, and after some chitchat we became a party. The location wasn't the best to start though: the Doubtwoods which was filled with monsters (and provides the fighting tutorials) and is just a circular path at first. So we got lost. Then some nymphs dropepd by and helped us out (the tutorial for multi-member parties) through the woods along some more monsters, we even came across two rather powerful ones (one nasty bugger took 7 whole turns, while the norm should have been 1 to 2). Eventually we made it out and said goodbye to the nymphs. On to the first towns!
If you want my opinion, this is more for semi-experienced RPG players as it utilises some strategic elements like front and back rows, and using ether in the field to make magic work. Beginners will have a somewhat hard time to understand everything that's going on.

Currently lost in the games, trying to find my way back to Mainframe. Whoops, wrong series set in a computer!

There seems to be a heavy interested in Tron games lately. Wonder why. Probably just a coincidence.

Tron 2.0
Having made my way to Thorne's corrupted server, found him at the mercy of the Kernel. Deciding to support the sentient virus over the system security program , killed the Kernel and saved Thorne.... for about 30 seconds as he de-rezzed from injuries sustained anyway. Still, found out that his PDA had an access to Fcon's systems I could use. Transferred to his PDA with Alan, but only Jet made it since the PDA doesn't support multiple programs. The O/S of the unit wasn't very nice so I threatened it with system destabilization by overloading it and draining its power. It capitulated and let me into the Fcon servers. Alan is stuck outside but at least he's safe.

To be honest, I've always had a heavy interest in Tron games. :-B Figured I'd play through Evolution in preparation for the Legacy, and once that leaves me disappointed, I'd fire up the 2.0 for a better game and sequel.

Actually Legacy is supposed to be really good.

Mass Effect 2:
BEATEN! Again. Then I went and helped out Liara with her Shadow Broker problem. Killed a rogue Spectre (Much easier than the last one) then went to hunt down the Shadow Broker himself. He was a member of a species that had been quarantined to their planet because they killed the First Contact teams the Citadel sent. After we killed him (The only boss in the game that you're REQUIRED to punch him in the face, which is awesome) Liara stepped in to become the new Shadow Broker.

So, yeah, that's great. If Liara is opposed to the idea that i pretty much left her for Tali, than she hasn't vocalized it. In any case, we're still friends, and she's one of the most powerful people in the Galaxy.

It's also unnerving the amount of information the Shadow Broker has on the Illusive Man's activities, including the exact number of cigarettes he smokes, drinks he has, and women he sleeps with. (Six women in one week, including a three way!)

With echoes out the way, decided to start replaying this too. Cleared the GF Olympus, defeated the Berserker lord, and took my ship to the next planet of interest.

Sigh... restarted... again... Getting to be a habit. At this point, just decided to go nuts, kill 1500 zombies, up by 2 levels, and then reload after trying some new weapons.

Ending was predictable, but that final cutscene was pretty damn cool.

Got the Overlord DLC, the last major DLC in the game. A rogue VI (ANOTHER Rogue VI, the third one this week) has taken over a Cerberus station researching ways to basically mind-control the geth.

Blew up the communications array so the VI wouldn't transmit itself offworld. Now I have to unlock a pair of access codes to let me into the main facility to shut it down WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE! Time to fire up the ol' hammerhead and take this on the road and...

and...

Wow, this planet is pretty...

Anyway, got access from one facility, now onto the other...a crashed geth ship. Oh joy.

Brrrrrr, finally got past World 3, Chilltop Cove, but then the boss decided to literally bump me way into World 4, Sogwood Forest, for my troubles. Those penguins are evil, rolling me up in a snowball, now this! Anyhow, I backtracked and found all the treasure chests I missed, now I'm back at 100%.

Glory of Heracles
Nothing eventfull, just need to find a way to get off the island of Crete. First visited the Temple of Poseidon to learn some skills, then found myself in in the town of Cnossos. Lucky for me, it's a port town, but the ship docked there is only for pilgrims and my party isn't allowed on board. Bummer. Talked to the head priestess to no avail, when a handsome stranger I helped earlier came in with three passes for the ship. So all is fine and dandy, we chatted, turns out we have similar fates... you guessed it, he becomes my third steady party member. Wish he'd be less narcissistic... We're due for boarding first thing tomorrow. Cue the waves of monsters and the Kraken ;)

Just cleared up a few more Achievements before uninstalling. Final thoughts: Tron: Evolution is an action-packed adventure which is over too soon. The story isn't explained very well, the ending is predictable (granted, you know how it ends from the start), the gameplay is repetitive, and some parts really feel like Prince of Persia 2099, but it's a short, enjoyable thrill ride with stylish combat sequences, intense action, and badass parkour in a cyberpunk universe. I'm ready for the Legacy.

And speaking of Tron, you guys might like this.

Lots of progress, none of it story related. In the last few sessions, I've made contact with the brotherhood, helped them with tracking lost patrols and scouts, finding lost weaponry, and helping to remove a virus from their computers. Also got them to upgrade my companion ED-E.
Went to Bitter Springs and took out a sniper that was attacking them, grabbed his supplies and gave them to the camp, and supplied the camp doctor with lots of medical supplies.
Got 4 of the 5 radio codes delivered the NCR camps. On the way to #5.
While exploring, came accross a Nightstalker den. AFter killing a herd of them, realized one of them was 'Legendary'. Lucky for me, I guess.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.

Protip: Mission 4-1 has about $35,000~ worth of treasure if you know where to look. It's also probably one of the easier missions in the game if you know how to handle it.

Holy balls, really? Thanks, I'll check it out. Is there still the RE4-sytle "put gems into treasure item sockets" system, or should I just sell all the treasure I find?

Just sell it all.

Aliens vs. Predator:
It was $5 and I have a tendency for impulse buys.

Completed the first couple of missions as both Alien and Predator. As Predator, I learned that somewhere on the planet is, in fact, a PredAlien. So that's something to look forward to. To be fair, Xenos are a helluva lot easier to fight than Marines, what with being melee-only.

PS Plasma Caster = Awesome. I have not killed someone with a Plasma Caster in a way where it didn't feel awesome.

Roger, thanks. I'm also laughing effing hard at Sheva's "somersault" attack. Which is blatantly Guile's Flash Kick from Street Fighter. Gotta love Capcom's self-referencing. Then again, at least it's nowhere near as bad as, say, one of my Lunia characters' ripped off Flash Kick.
