Tannis didn't really betray you; she knew Baron Flint didn't have a piece of the Key (There's only three) but Commandant Steele forced her, and Tannis figured you'd enjoy the fight anyway. Tannis, mind you, does not have the Key, the Crimson Lance does. Might want to hurry it up, you don't want the Vault in the hands of those douchebags at Atlas, do you?

Sir Jadow, 2 things:
1) spoiler alert for those of us who haven't played through the game fully yet. :BANG_HEAD:
2) Ah, I miss the days when I replayed games just because I could. I once played through Ocarina of time in a straight session just because I had time to kill.

Like I said, there's no spoilers, only warnings. I could tell you who the final boss is, and it couldn't negatively impact the story for you. Hell, not only would you not fully get it, even after killing it, it still wouldn't make sense.

Yeah, but that part at the beginning with Steele could potentially have been pretty hot without, you know, the killing and the blood and all. Teakettle.

This isn't even a spoiler. I'm just doing it to be funny.

Mega Man Maverick Hunter X:
Got to Sigma. Got my ass kicked by Sigma, though.

In other news, I have the sudden desire to get Mega Man X Collection, X7 and X8, just for completion's sake. Basically, I've been spending the last couple years working on the assumption that the PS2 is about to die. As it happens, it's a sturdy bastard that, despite the fact that it's functionally dead now, still sees remarkable sales. I'm not about to take the chance that Gamestop is going to sell it's games forever, though, and thus I feel the constant urge to get as many games for the PS2 that I can think of before it's too late.

Of course, I've been unintentionally leaving eBay out of the equation, but, again, I'd rather not resort to that. It's like buying used games from Gamestop but without quality control.

Effin' Gamestop. You could always buy another PS2 and keep it as a backup, to replace your current unit if/when it dies on you. Aren't PS2s pretty cheap now?

Borderlands
Time to take it to the Crimson lance. Front door was locked so I took the back door. :-$
Fought my way through spiderants and 3 high-level lancers including one who had a name but I didn't bother memorizing. Took them down, but not without great cost to myself (those renew-u things are expensive). Inside, found a downed claptrap and rescued it, reached Tannis who told me what I already knew thanks to the unnameable poster up there :-$ and was sent after the ECHO unit.

Donkey Kong Country Returns
Playing this in spurts. Got up to the boss, Tiki Tong but got my monkey butt kicked. Will come back to this.

It's 7% of whatever money you had on you when you died. Unless you're broke, then it's free.

Yeah, but it's still a kick in the ego when you're fined 25 grand for dying, ya know?

After a few successful Crawmerax runs and selling off the loot, you'd be surprised at how much money I have to spend each time my Lilith dies. A few hundred million per death. I'm not even sure how much money I have, the cash-counter stops at $9,999,999. I have to die then do the math in my head to get a rough estimate of how much cash I have.

I'm filthy freaking rich, is what I'm saying.

Common for some, but not all of us. Anywho...

Borderlands
GAME.OVER! Opened the vault, found its treasures to be not to my tastes but similar to those on some sites I won't mention, blew it to hell and saved the universe... or something. Returned the key to Tannis, logged out of the game, never to be played again.
I still don't know why, but I was genetically pre-disposed to hating this game. It's presentation helped overcome many of the faults I kept finding and it was enough to keep me playing to the end. But now I'm done and have no interest in continuing.

ah, off-topic but sort of topic conversations in a specific subject thread. Just like the old days.

Alien Vs. Predator(PC)
Cleared the Marine campaign by killing an Alien queen, Killing a predator in one-on-one combat, and finally killing Mr. Weyland.... again. :-? For my troubles I'm getting a free trip home, although the pilot's radio conversation while I was in hypersleep were a bit less than optimistic. Oh well, next campaign.
Started the Alien campaign as Specimen number 6. From birth.... from bursting, was kept in a lab for study and gassed to be kept under control. A timely power failure freed me from my shackles and I rose up against the scientists and security, freeing my siblings and working together to free our queen. Using human technology that responds surprisingly well to biting, shut down the facility, overrode lockdown, downloaded MP3s, and escaped with the Queen to safety. Okay, one of those things didn't happen. 8)

Resident Evil 5 [PC]:
Finished the game in co-op with a friend. Had to play 6-3 twice because it didn't register that we'd finished it.

Currently going for a second playthrough on a harder difficulty, with all of our gear and bonuses like some infinite ammo and extra costumes.

Ah, Six, such a delicate flower...who can kill you by eating you with one of her two mouths. Or stabbing you with her knife-tail. Or bleeding on you. (Six's gender SEEMS like a spoiler, until you play the game, and realize she's referred to as female during the tutorial)

Ooh, maybe I'll play that one next, I still haven't finished the Marine campaign.

First time I played that (single-player, mind you) Wesker was such a pain in the ass. Then I realized there's a "Press X to Ice This MoFo" command that can easily kill him.

Also, I never had any of the problems with computer-controlled Sheva. Less so on my next playthrough, where the only weapon I let her have was an infinite ammo Desert Eagle Lightning Hawk. Very few problems exist when you have a buddy who can kill everything in one shot and never needs to reload.

Mega Man Maverick Hunter X:
BEATEN! Unlocked the ability to play as Vile, as well as a very well done OVA, Day of Sigma.

Yeah, he's a freaking pain, even in co-op. The scripting is really annoying. "Oh, you didn't lure him close enough, but you're pressing E rapidly enough that you SHOULD be able to save yourself? LOLNO U LOSE ANYWAY"

Ah well. I don't know about the Drop That Sucka command... Got any more information so that I can tell my friend and he and I will both feel like idiots?

After he does that attack where he makes a big whirlwind of tentacles around him, get Chris (I dunno if it works with Sheva) behind him and there should be an action command. Chris will grab Wesker, then Sheva will shank the hell out of him with her knife. (I think in co-op whoever is playing Sheva needs to input a command) Then Chris will start shanking as well. There's a lot of shanking, is what I'm saying.

Damn it. We ran out of ammo once and resorted to serious shankage, I got too close and ended up inside of the circle formed by the tentacle arms, but I was directly behind him, so I didn't get the contextual command. Ah well. Next time, I'll try giving him the ol' shiv and seeing what happens.

Aliens vs. Predator:
The Alien and Predator Campaigns weren't hard. They weren't easy, either, because I'm not great at stealth and my Run'n'gun attitude does not work well with the aforementioned species. But they weren't hard. I figured the Marine campaign would be similarly easy. However, at my current progress, I'm reminded three things:

1. In both movie franchises, very, very few humans make it out alive.

2. I killed a crapton of humans as Xenos and Predators.

3. I'm playing the redshirt, with no given name, and also happens to be the black guy.

Well, it's not all bad. I killed a Xenomorph Queen. Mm-mm, Cajun style Xenomorph Queen. Nothing beats home cooking.

From the position of someone playing as the Alien, I concur.

Aliens vs Predator
Cutting the description short this time. Highlights are that I brought down power to a facility, killed a lot of marines, and just reached the Predator battle.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.
