Well, I don't play Minecraft, but nothing says "King of the Entire Damn Universe" like a floating fortress covered in laser beam turrets...

You're thinking Garry's Mod, unless you mean wooden sticks in cubes so they look non-functional turrets.

Ah, well, how about "Lava fountains spilling over the edge to the pitiful (and crispy) masses below"?

Also, there's also Playthrough 2.5, which isn't a full Playthrough 3.0, but it counts for something, anyway.

After rescuing Caterina, moved forward and Unlocked the Assassin's guild. Mostly going around building up my team. I feel really evil now, because I'm having my recruits kill every guard I see just so they get experience. Hit a **** move right away when I called two of them to kill a crew, but then they ran into guards on the way out. This was in a catacomb so when I finally got to them, they were killed  Easily replaced, at least.
Just reunited with Leonardo to reclaim my double blades. Renovating everything I see, just because.

Final Fantasy III:
I didn't cry when Aerith died. I didn't shed a tear at Vivi's story. Nothing in this series made me as emotional as what I just witnessed.

I got to the Final Boss, the sexy, if technically genderless Cloud of Darkness. It's worth noting she could NOT take a beating. (This was the For-Real fight with her) I was doing great. Until she broke out Haste. I was already playing defense at that point, Haste was overkill, and she pulled her coup de grace on my team not long after. The kicker, it took me TWO SOLID HOURS trekking through two dungeons (As previously explained, the only save points are on the world map because one of the map designers is a retard who thought it would be a good idea) and five mandatory bosses.

If it sounds like I'm crying, it's because I am.

I remember when the demo first came out. Me and my friends played it dozens of times. We'd even hold back at the end of the second map just to kill more Zombies.

Ooh, I'm gonna go listen to the Midnight Riders songs I pulled out of the game.

Final Fantasy III:
Okay, so apparently if I kill off Cloud of Darkness's tentacle's (Not into tentacles but giggity anyway for those who are) I can cut her attacks in half, particularly the moves performed by said tentacles, particularly Lightning (A move that hurts my front-row guys but does nothing or nearly nothing to my mages) and her buffs. Not fool proof (I still need to watch out for Particle Beam) but barring any major screw-ups (Which this game LOVES to throw at me) I should win this...in two hours when I reach her again...

(I could just play Dissidia and beat the crap out of her now...)

Reached Level 69 on my first Rebirth, making for a Cumulative Level of 141. I'm now guaranteed to get the best gear reward in this month's event. I would have played some more with my guildmates last night, but the game crashed when I tried to open up a shop window. Considering I had the game running for 22 straight hours, I didn't mind.

Borderlands [PC]:
Started up the ECHO network again. Off to take out the sexy but evil Steele. First, I'm off to Earl's Scrapyard to find the Claptrap I missed to get the 42 inventory slots.

I like where this is going.

Borderlands [PC]:
Finished my singleplayer Lilith Playthrough. Spent two days on Ned's Island. Finished everything but the Brains missions, which I'm currently working on. It's total crap that the quest items you pick up without this mission on don't count for balls.

Overall, I'm rather disappointed by this first DLC pack. It's unimaginative, uninspired, generic (lolzombies), and lacks polish.

Global Agenda: Free Agent [PC]:
Got my Medic up to Level 12. Still trying to find a good look for her, using the suits and paints I have.

Minecraft [PC]:
Left the Citadel to return to Vault 1337. Building a landing pad near the forest walkway, beyond the glass tunnel through the waterfall. Going to build Kyle Katarn's first ship, the Moldy Crow, on said landing pad. Unfortunately, the admin of our server doesn't seem to be able to spawn me any brown dyes or brown wool, so I'll have to make the Crow out of freakin' dirt. Dirty Crow?

Bleh, I hated the Brains quest line. I did it ONCE for the achievement and never did it again. The Jakobs Cove Claptrap has some of the best lines in the game, though, which is the bright spot of the DLC. Still, Secret Armory is probably the best of the four, though Robot Revolution is a love-it-or-hate-it sort of deal.

Good point. There's still humour, and I genuinely laughed out loud at some points (well maybe just one, but I laughed instead of just chuckled). I can't so no to that XP from the quests, and I've made it a point to finish every quest I've been given, AND I like TK Baha, so I'll do this crap for him. The gun I'm using has regenerating ammo, so it's not like it's costing me anything to do it. And I'll get some more Challenge progress along the way. The Achievement is just a bonus.

TF2 has really, really low required specs. The game was released in 2007 but it's based on an engine from 2004. And running Steam has nothing to to do with specs or how old or new your computer is. it's only requirements are an internet connection and just a bit of hard drive space.

Yeah... :P

Other problem is this: I downloaded steam on to my computer. I downloaded Portal: First Slice and tried to open it. Didn't work. It just shows the Valve guy and "Powered by Source", then waits for a minute, then closes and the error message pops up. Plus, I also have Spore and Spore Galactic Adventures on there, as well as Creepy and Cute. And a whole lot of other crap. Even though I have 4 gigs of RAM and a 2 gig hard drive, Portal doesn't work.

Do you think I should wipe my computer clean and start over? :???:

A reformat is a bit much. Try going on the Steam forums and asking what's up. What's your video card? It could be that's the problem. On-Board graphics cards are notoriously crap.

Wait, 2GB hard drive? Dude, that wouldn't even be enough space to hold the OS.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (DS)
Started playing the game again after a good while, having left off at Bowser invading Toad Town, getting his read end kicked, and learning of the Star Cures. What he didn't know was he accidentally inhaled the guardian of the first...

Mario and Luigi chased her of course, but she fled to an area blocked by Boo Blocks. Switch back to Bowser, traversed Bubble Lake, freed more Minions (the Koopas) by ramming a ship through the rock formation. Don't ask how I moved it. ;) Anyway, at the end I saw a propeller sticking out of the water, spun it and ended up being crushed by the foot of the Tower of Yikk who the propeller belonged to. Ouch.

But by some miracle (actually Mario and Luigi's handiwork) I grew giant (again) and beat the Tower of Yikk. Upon closer investigation I learned that this Yikk was a inventor, fascinated by Boos. The result: the Boo-ray machine, which is like an X-Ray machine. The best part: it makes Boo Blocks disappear, reveals hidden platforms and solidifies moving Boo Blocks.

Mario and Luigi's chase continues through Bowser's Energy Hold. Picked up a new Bros. Skill, the Drill Bros. and a new Special Attack with a giant ball (I really to practice those). Finally I caught up with the guardian, who stated that I had to fight her. It was an interesting battle to say the least. Then again, isn't any boss fight in the Mario & Luigi series? ;) Still, I won and got the Star Cure. As an added bonus, I unlocked Bowser's Body Slam ability.

That's it for now, see ya next time ;)

Thanks, Golds, you reminded me that I still need to finish my Super Mario RPG game! I sure hope the cartridge didn't erase my saves again.

Minecraft [PC]:
You know, there's nothing quite like building crap together at 2AM with your friends. That's a bonding experience right there.

I've started construction on the Moldy Crow, Kyle Katarn's ship. Using Dirt instead of Brown Wool. Looks decent enough so far. I think I'm making it a little too small (fuselage is 7 cubes wide at the back, and the four thrusters on the "wings" are each 3 wide). But if I tried to make it larger (each of the thrusters as 5 wide), it might look TOO big. Then again, at least I could walk around inside it. I'll probably make it bigger. At least large enough to hold Kyle's beard.

Speaking of which, I'm working on my Kyle Katarn Minecraft skin, but due to the nature of the texture system, you cannot skin the arms individually. As a result, Samus has 2 arms instead of an arm cannon (which is how I made her in Champions, anyway), but I'm not sure if I want to make Kyle have no shoulder pad or two shoulderpads.

What do?

For you oldschoolers out there, here's a little something you might enjoy, or at very least you'll see what I did there: http://ages25andup.blogspot.com/2011/05 ... nited.html Man, I feel like busting out the SNES multitap and nailing 7-pointers FROM DOWNTOWN right about now.

But anyway, onto to the game progess!

Street Fighter IV [PC]:
Had an urge to fight some streets when I woke up a few days ago, so I reinstalled this beast. I think I lost my saved game data, so I'll have to re-unlock my tags and icons and stuff. I think. No big deal.

Borderlands [PC]:
Finished the "Brains" missions in the Ned's Island DLC pack, earning the Achievement and finishing all the quests in said DLC pack. Ned's Island was pretty disappointing. Humour wasn't bad, but nothing stood out and it really lacked polish.

Next up is Delicious Moxxi, and I've heard that the character is the best part of that DLC pack. Then again, it's Borderlands, so there's no real character development to speak of.

I also need to re-spec my character since I modified my Lilith's Skills setup to lengthen Phasewalk and reduce its cooldown in order to move faster since there's no Quick Travel. Ugh.

Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition [PC]:
Beat the Cycloid Emperor, boss of Episode 3, twice. Each time, my time was better than the 3D Realms time. Feels good, man.

Currently in the Plutonium Pack's levels, and they're pretty good, too. Level design of Duke3D and the puzzles, man, that stuff still holds up today.

APB Reloaded [PC]:
Open Beta starts today. I made my character a ponytailed redhead with deep green eyes named "AgentScarlett." In the training area where she's wearing the blue uniform. Getting a strong G.I. Joe Declassified feel already. Let's see if I can find a crossbow on the black market.

Underdome is the least popular of the four, actually. You remember the Circle of Slaughter missions? It's basically an extended vesion of those, except the enemies you kill in said arena matches don't give you XP. At the end, you get a modest amount of XP (somewhere around 10K if I'm not mistaken) and a Skill Point SDU. (Free skill point, regardless of level, you can get it a second time on Playthrough 2)

As for no Fast Travel, it's the same way in all the DLC missions. Secret Armory at least involves heavy use of Runners to get around.

I know it's the least popular, which is why I'm keeping my expectations low. At least I'll be able to enjoy dat Moxxi.

Minecraft [PC]:
For anyone interested, here is my Kyle Katarn Minecraft skin: http://www.minersneedcoolshoes.com/2011 ... le-katarn/
Below is a preview for you. Yes, he technically has a beard on his beard. He's Kyle Motherkriffing Katarn -- what did you expect??

The Moldy Crow is nearly complete. I'm going to equip the interior to be a usable base, with bed, furnaces, etc.

Minecraft [PC]:
Kyle Katarn was here; Dark Helmet is small-time.

Finished building Kyle's ship, the Moldy Crow. Well, the body, anyway. The interior needs to be finished. I'm trying to make the cockpit look accurate, but the back of the ship is a usable base. 4 furnaces, 2 small chests, 3 large chests, 2 beds, and 2 crafting tables. Sithspit is SO galactic credits.

?Elder Scrolls Oblivion?:

Has anyone played Elder Scrolls Oblivion? Because I really want to. It's one of those games I become obsessed with until I get it like: Bulletstorm, Resistance 2, Dragon Age 2, Transformers War for Cybertron, and Mass Effect 1 and 2. None of which where as good as I had anticipated (Except Mass Effect of course), but does anyone have anything to say about it? It's like Fallout: Dragon Age edition.
