I discussed with some friends of mine, and they agreed, Force Unleashed III should begin with Kyle cutting of Starkiller's head and becoming the hero of the game. No one had a problem with Starkiller, we just felt it was the best solution.

Force Unleashed III should just be a cutscene of Starkiller fetching Kyle a drink. Kyle would then spit it out on the kid's face and tell him to mix up another. Starkiller would then sulk away. Credits.

Got her heart, got a gun (which is surprisingly weak), and then got the ability to use Chronospheres from Samael. Not sure what those do yet but will find out in next area.

Took down Alder then moved to the Historic District. The First Sons, the "gang" (more like a private army) are waaaaaay worse than the Dustmen or the Reapers. Their leader, Big Bad Kessler, is worse too. He tied six doctors to the edge of one building, and Cole's girlfriend Trish to the other. I pick the one with Trish because I figure if Spider-Man did it, it should be an okay choice. The downside? Kessler apparently read The Night Gwen Stacy Died as well.

The woman I tried to save wasn't Trish, the real Trish was on the building I didn't pick.

I at least take solace in the belief that there was no "right" choice; Trish will be on whatever building you don't pick.

Powered up the last substation, but this one had a twist. My new power doesn't work underground, so the game altered the way i power up the substations. The actual substations themselves are above ground, and I have to defend them while they power up. The upside, is that they give me infinite energy while standing on them. And my new power happens to be summoning insta-death lightning from above.

So, to recap, that last mission involved Infinite Energy + Most Powerful Attack in the Game = Infinite use of the most powerful attack in the game. This game can be so nice to me sometimes.

Well, CRAP. He's a crafty one, eh?

APB Reloaded (Open Beta) [PC]:
Got my main character, AgentScarlett, to Ranking 26 or 27. Finished the missions for Wil and Violet. At respect level 2 with Miri and level 7 with Ty. Managed to win 2 missions last night solo. Did not see that one coming.

I have to remake the tank top for my Mirror's-Edge-inspired characters, FaithConnors, because I messed up the stripes on one side. I think I'll make some duplicates of Scarlett's camo pants and G.I. Joe logo shirt and sell them on the marketplace. I'm surprised people bought my Arashikage Clan emblem and the BattleTech Wolf Clan logos I made.

Duke Nukem Forever Demo [PC]:
You know what I've got:
Image

Tired of the unacceptably-small console-style FOV that plagues the Duke Forever Demo, Borderlands, RE5, and other titles? Check out Flawless Widescreen and get that crap fixed. I haven't tried it with Borderlands since I fixed the FOV manually by modifying a .ini file and adding hold-aiming in the process, but I used the Duke Forever fix.

Want to have some fun with the demo? Start a new demo and when you're in the stadium's bathroom, type DNCLIP to enable the ghost mode. Not sure if other oldschool cheats work. DNKROZ, DNCORNHOLIO, & DNCASHMAN gave no on-screen confirmation. Anyway, with DNCLIP on, you can explore the world and see stuff you're not able to otherwise. I took a bunch of screenshots, if you're interested.

With DNCLIP on, move with the movement controls and mouse, and go up/down with the jump/crouch buttons. I don't think toggle-crouch works in DNCLIP mode. The Stadium has a large statue at its entrance and there are actually two Cycloid Emperors in the level: the one you fight, and another one that you see during the scripted event, which disappears after it blows up the hallway tunnel.

Most interesting? Duke's penthouse seen at the end of the flashback boss fight? It's an explorable area in the demo. Not just the one room you see, but the full penthouse, with fancy washroom (you can admire Duke in the mirror, "Damn, I'm lookin' good!"), multiple TVs and fireplaces, a bar, a hall with Duke's photos seen at the website's Halls of Humility (and the postcards in the Balls of Steel Edition), an interactive pool table, a golden elevator, and light switches. You can play pool and the twins will react if you shut off the lights.

Furthermore, there is a window which overlooks Dukified Vegas (there are towers named after the Duke3D submarine and Duke's first villain from 1991) and the alien mothership.

To get to the penthouse, start a new demo and the from the bathroom where you spawn, type DNCLIP and look down. Now, go down. Through the floor. Straight down, and keep going down for about five minutes. You'll see the building slowly get bigger. You'll be directly above Duke's building. When you get into the penthouse and want to walk around, type DNCLIP again and go wild. But whatever you do, DO NOT press your Use key when in the elevator. Especially not before you've had time to explore the penthouse. Have fun!

And if you're playing on a console, feel bad that your overdone Gears of Halo of Duty conventions have found their way into Duke Forever and prevent it from feeling as oldschool as it should, turning Duke into one of the [w]ussies he makes fun of in the first place. #-o

Better stay away from powerful magnets ;)

And holy crap, has it been that long since I last posted here? Gotta rectify this. This is gonna be a doozy, since this is two updates in one.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
And both are for the same game :P

Bowser's case of being-hit-by-a-crazy-looking-train-induced amnesia opened up a new area in his body: the Memory Banks. Explored it, and found it to be quite neat looking, like a library. The librarian didn't appreciate my intrusion however and split up into two very familiar forms: blocky versions of Mario and Luigi. My favourite boss fight so far with the 8-bit throwbacks, and it's quite easy if you know the two brothers well enough ;) With those two out of the way, they merged back together into a block Peach? Right. Soon the librarian pulls out Bowser's memory of the safe combination, shattered like a puzzle. Solved it, restored the memory, Bowser opened the safe and pulls out, the second Star Cure! Only to be forcefully pushed into said safe by his henchmen. Well, now it's just the brothers for the time being. In frustration he actually swallowed the Star Cure for Mario and Luigi to get. Ew...

Two down, one to go. After a small misadventure at Dr. Toadley's, my next destination is Plack Beach, via Bubble Lake. Easy enough. Met one of the sages, or rather ex-sage: Kuzzle, who likes puzzles. Solved a puzzle for him, which netted me another Special Attack: the Spin Pipe. I'm pointed to the cliffside, and yes I had to climb all the way to the top. Enter the third Sage: Chakron, who hasn't moved an inch for a thousand years. Not even my best attack can twitch him, much less make him tip over. The attack that I need is in Dimble Wood, but I took a little detour to Bowser's Castle where there should be another Special Attack. Sure enough, there is one in a giant freezer with... Shroobs?! Crap... First time I fought them i was K.O.'ed in the first round, so I did the unthinkable: used a Retry Clock and tried again. With more success this time, I think spamming Special Attacks had something to do with it :P That netted me Magic Window. Back to the Woods, found all Attack Pieces after a rather nasty and weird event involving Sockops (think a cross between Kuribo's Shoe and a walking plant), I can now use Snack Basket, which I used to shake the earth underneath Chakron (don't ask how) and make him tip over. Voila, the final Star Cure is mine :D
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

More than you think what with being Cole from an alternate future. So he has a closer view of Cole's thought process than anyone and can accurately predict his choices.

Infamous:
No new story missions, but I finished all the side missions in Neon District and the Warrens, so enemy encounters in those areas have dropped to a very small number. Like, from having one or two enemies on every other rooftop, to one or two enemies on every other city block. I'll do the same for the Historic District before moving back to story missions. It would be nice to be able to move without having to deal with the First Sons all the damn time.

I also got all 32 dead drops. Got both an trophy and a greater insight into the backstory of the game.

Sorry, man, I'm all Portal'd out. I finished the co-op game once with a friend and have no desire to return to it. We're still cool, right?

Duke Nukem Manhattan Project [PC]:
Cleared the game on Normal, finding all the Nukes in the game. Unlocked the armoured shirt. So I started a game on Hard using my unlocked bonuses of double-damage Mighty Boot and the Armoured Shirt, which should help a lot. Currently in Episode 2, Level 1, with every Nuke collected so far.

Nooooo, no no no. if you get a Valve game, you get the PC version. That's the rule.

Restored the status quo and was granted my freedom and a gun turret operatic for my troubles. Now I still need to find someone to play co-op with.

Just a heads up, Locust, I'm getting Portal 2 next week. And since Tweezy already gave me a complete walkthrough of the game, I don't have to muddle around with all that "I'd like to finish single player first" nonsense. So...yeah. When life gives you lemons, demand to see life's manager.

Disgaea:
My current mission set is to find this kid's lost pets. Not a particularly Overlord-y job but it's for the respect of my minions so whatever. Except the pets are all Zombies. Not, like, zombie cats and dogs, literally just regular old Zombies. And I apparently need to grind some more because I just barely beat the first two missions of this episode.

You know it. Just like every Valve game should be.

Disgaea:
I take back that part about needing to grind, and amend it: The next mission involved six or so Zombies on one half of the map, and my half has a special effect that anyone standing in it takes 20% damage per turn, both halves are separated by a section with the special effect that you can't pass it. So, I take down that "barrier," make sure only one character at a time is out, and then let the world itself bring the Zombies to low health, then I let my weakest characters finish them off. Works like a charm.

Finished capturing the last of the Zombies, which they explained was pretty much just tearing them to pieces.

Then, shock and horror, a bunch of Prinnies all left. So now I have to hunt them down, dood.

In other news, most reviews mention a level in Duke Nukem Forever featuring cocooned women being sexually assaulted by aliens, complete with rather unnerving crying from said women, who become visibly pregnant before dying giving birth to octoroids. Gearbox intended for this to be funny, (Duke says to the twins, "Well, I guess you're f%^&ed") and now I'm swearing off of DNF.
