Has anyone played Elder Scrolls Oblivion? Because I really want to. It's one of those games I become obsessed with until I get it like: Bulletstorm, Resistance 2, Dragon Age 2, Transformers War for Cybertron, and Mass Effect 1 and 2. None of which where as good as I had anticipated (Except Mass Effect of course), but does anyone have anything to say about it? It's like Fallout: Dragon Age edition.

Well, now that you mention it...

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion:
Finished up the Mages Guild questline, working on the Knights of the Nine questline now.

The world is bigger than San Andreas and ten times as pretty; character faces are horrible, and there's only a dozen or so voice actors because Patrick Stewart (Who is in the game for less than ten minutes) Terrance Stamp and Sean Bean ate up the casting budget. There's a bajillion quests; you can go a very, very long time without having to touch the main quest line. it does NOT play like a standard RPG, you level up by increasing the major skills for whatever class you pick, and you level those skills up by using them. (Hitting something with a sword, getting hit, etc.) Really awesome game, though.

Golden Sun: The Lost Age:
Done putting this game off. Finally get Piers onto my party, and got back his fancy-pants orb. met Menardi's sister Karst, who, since I (As Isaac) killed Menardi in the last game, is now out for Isaac's (No longer controlled by me) blood. Hm. Next stop, a boat. For the record, I have all the Djinn I can get so far.

In other news, Duke Nukem Forever has gone gold. That crazy old dude was off by a couple weeks; the End Times are coming June 14th.

Isn't it supposed to be free now, because I kind of wanted to try i--holy mother of balls, Core 2 Duo 2.4 minimum? At some point in development, a developer needs to realize that sacrificing accessibility for ambition is a very bad idea.

Sam & Max:
Finally bought seasons 1 and 2 of the Telltale games. (Already owned Season 3, 1 and 2 were on loan from a friend, long story) Now I'm on the arduous (And hilarious!) task of completing them all. Just finished the first three episodes of Season 1, now onto "Abe Lincoln Must Die!" (The free episode!)

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
OK, this part was easy enough. Found out that Bowser already has the second Star Cure in his possession, and it's now at, you guessed it, Bowser Castle. Headed for Bower Castle (thanks to a now accessible short cut ending in the main hall), only to found out the hole to the Underground Treasure Chamber has been closed off! A nearby sign directed me to a Fawfull statue on the balcony, which I used (after some protests) to open up the door. That statue needed to go anyway... And Bowser must love lava, as the basement's littered with it. Freed the Bob-omb Squad (who's smart idea was it to put Bob-ombs in a hot place like this, anyway?) and fought my way through Jailgoons and sick Thwomps to the Treasure Chamber, where they've done some remodeling: there's a railroad track running right through it, built by the Monty Bros. After some bickering I ended up being pushed by the train through the tunnel, and eventually... I tripped, and the train slammed me flat against a boulder.
Cue the Marios saving my life and making me grow (yet again), so I can fight the train. And I have to say: lamest fight ever. I had to destroy it within a round limit, and the train only sent out goons, missiles and whatnot in my way. Which I did. Back in the Treasure Chamber I proceeded to open the safe that had the Star Cure, only to realize I forgot the combination! What to do...
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

They've mentioned that they will work on making it less demanding, but for now, I just have to put up with it. APB is being relaunched as a free-to-play title by GamersFirst and it's currently in its Open Beta phase.

APB Reloaded [PC]:
Took some screenshots of my character. Currently in the Financial District. Did a few missions for Ty; at repect level 3 with him, I think. Played with some groups yesterday and had a lot of fun, despite the game's many issues. Hey, it's still in Beta.

Borderlands [PC]:
Finished Arena #2 of the Underdome's "Prove Yourself" quest. For the Achievements, am I supposed to do 100 STRAIGHT waves, or am I allowed to save, quit, come back later and continue from where I left off?

You looking for a new videocard AND Duke Forever? You're in luck.

100 in one go. Not until after you completed Prove Yourself, though. I recommend doing it with some friends. If you'd like, I'm also missing those achievements.

Mindless murder, what else is there in this game?
Okay, okay, running missions wherever I find them. Cleared another round of courtesan missions and a few of the templar agent missions as well. Only one borgia tower left but it's in an inaccessible area.

Tell you what. I'mma finish Prove Yourself this weekend. Want to try to beat one of the 100-wave rounds this weekend, or some time next week? Give me a shout on Steam or a PM or something and we can organize a run.

But it can't be on the 3rd, because we'll both be busy Duking.

Yeah, tell me about it, eh? Though shipping to Canada would probably be expensive, and I've already pre-ordered the Balls of Steel Edition. And my tower has been dead for at least a year, forcing me to do all my computing and gaming on my laptop.

Hit a 4 part anti-French mission where I defended Bartolomeo's barracks against a french assault, stealth killed 20 of their soldiers to steal their armor, led my disguised troops inside the French base, and then assassinated their leader. Sequence 6 complete.

Seems like I'm jumping sequences after every mission. Then again, every mission is 4 parts so I guess it balances out.
Anyway, I've completely renovated all of Rome. By rights, this makes me owner of Rome. Can I evict the pope yet?
All my recruits have reached assassin status, I've been promoted to Il Mentore, and a family member joined the guild. A good days work.

Here is a link for you guys. If you are not nostalging, then what you have is a case of "Life - You're doing it wrong." And if you don't know what the hell I'm talking about, go here and learn something.

Raptor: Call of the Shadows (2010 Edition) [PC]:
Working my way through Bravo Sector. Cleared Wave 4. I'm glad the visuals and audio are still oldschool, but a full-fledged remake of this gem would be fantastic, like they did in Bionic Commando Rearmed or Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. I would stain the inside of my flight suit if the music was orchestrated or good metal versions, like MegaDriver's version of the SFII Ken's Stage BGM.

I wanted a game where I could cut a man's head off with a lightsaber; battlefront II was good but it was short on the lightsaber-head-cutting. And I didn't just want to resort to another playthrough of Jedi Academy. So I did something so intelligent it was completely insane that I didn't do it before.

Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast:
Screw Han Solo, Kyle Katarn shot first!

Working on the Force (?) Crystal Mines. I'd still be playing it now but I was pulled away to other top-secret matters.

I wholeheartedly approve.

Just a heads-up, I probably won't be around at all tomorrow and most of this weekend. This article I wrote should explain why. And yes, I still feel bad for tricking Scott Miller.

That's not genius. It's gross. The game at least saves face by having Duke voice his disgust at doing that and ask what kind of "sick m*****f*****" would even try something like that. One of the tips on the loading screen even mentions that they wanted to make that actually hurt Duke.

I want to try to get that. When it first came out I was pissed off that the developers made this instead of a Sly 4. (which I'm still waiting for  .) But I finally played it once and still hated it. But that was because it was set to its hardest difficulty and I didn't know you could change it (My cousin was playing the game. I would just pick it up once in a while and play a little). So, I'm willing to give this game another chance.

And I may buy the Hero edition of I2 just for that backpack with the Sly symbol on it. Yes, because a backpack really is worth $100 to me, even though I don't like the game that it comes with.

Seriously. Wasn't the trailer from April 1st the "Feces!" one, which a lot of us took as a gag? I guess they left it in so 12 year olds could giggle. And they even made an achievement out of it: http://videogamenostalgia.com/post/6112932789

And here are my thoughts on the demo: http://www.giantbomb.com/profile/1337w4 ... /30-82381/

Just about the only thing out of the Welcome Back program I really wanted. And I really wanted it, too! So Want + Free = Hooray!

Just brought the second substation in the second area back up, netting me the Megawatt Hammer, which is more or less a rocket launcher made of lightning that I shoot out of my hands.

It's free on the PlayStation Store Welcome Back page. That's how I got a hold of it.

Just arrested Alden, the Super Psychic Hobo. I didn't make that up. He is a hobo with psychic powers. Not necessarily Tetsuo level, but he DID make the largest tower in the game out of random bits of junk and debris. (They actually mention that he's compensating for something)

Now his gang, the Dust Men, aka the Hobo Army are rampaging in the streets. Seriously, it's a bunch of homeless guys with guns wearing garbage and they aren't even trying to make it funny.

With Assassin's creed off my list, returned to the world post-Bapolocypse. A fight with a giant scotsman with a hammer turned into a contest over who could take down the most angels. I won. 8)

Came up with a new theme project. Going to need a lot more red wool though.

Duke Nukem Manhattan Project [PC]:
Realized that the bonus ability I'd unlocked, double Might Boot damage, wasn't in effect because I had made a new saved game file. What I was supposed to do was go to the Load Game menu, select the saved game file with the game completed and bonus unlocked, chosen a new difficulty level, and started from there.

So I did. Playing on Normal with Double Damage Mighty Boot. Cleared up to and including Episode 3, Part 1, collecting every Nuke on the way. Good stuff.

Climbed up Alden's Giant Phallic Object to get the Ray Sphere, which caused this whole mess and also gives the user superpowers. Cole's buddy Zeke helped out, but, when stuck between a rock and a hard place, Zeke chose to turn it on which, thankfully, didn't create a small-scale apocalypse like last time. Bad news, the Big bad, Kessler, told Zeke he knew how to fix the Ray Sphere, so Zeke ran off with him. What a jerk!

Right now, though, I'm doing side missions in Neon District, the first area. Just over half way done, too.

Blew up Galak Fyyar just before Rogue Squadron blew up Galak Fyyar's ship. Now I have to go save all the Jedi on Yavin 4, the world that just can't catch a break.

AAGH! Went on a sheep hunt so I could make some more blue wool. Got lost, night came, got killed by creepers in proximity, and have no idea where I died. Lost a full set of iron armor, a stack of red wool, a lot of Lapis, and my tools. Current project delayed due to technical difficulties. :-x
Think I need to invest in a compass again.
