Weapon: Double-Barreled, Armor-Piercing Particle Beam Cann...
The Ultimate DOOM [PC]:
This game is a goddamn classic. Nothing can make it any less significant or awesome.

Not even Doom music.

In the second Episode, at least half-way through it, sending Hell back to Hell.

Saints Row: The Third
You want a good-ass deal? Check this crap out, playas. This is deal, directly from the THQ webstore, offers Saints Row: The Third for PC for 50%, plus the Genki pre-order pack which you can't buy any more AND the Season Pass for FREE. That's like $70 worth of content for $25.

Only catch is it's the UK version of the store, so you might need to pay with Paypal and say that your address is in the UK. Maybe people are able to pay for it with the credit cards just fine and put in their real address. ONE MORE THING: be sure to remove the "THQ downloader" **** from the basket because you don't need it.

When you pay for it, they'll send you an email with 3 keys for Steam: the game, the Genki stuff, and the Season Pass. Honestly, all that for $25? You will not find a better deal than this until next summer's or next Christmas' Steam Sale. Maybe.

TL;DR save big on SAINTS ROW, BITCHES. Merry Christmas, fellas!

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim:
Let me tell you something about killing Dragons. The first time? You feel godlike. The fifth time? You still feel godlike. It's amazing that they managed to make enemies that make you soil your pants when you see them, but still make you want to fight, difficult but not unbeatable, and with both a physical and mental rewards. I've killed five so far.

In other news, FUS RO DAH, or Unrelenting Force, continues to pay for itself. Including one enemy dying after the fall damage of flying off a cliff killed him.

EDIT: I keep forgetting I have other games:

Bulletstorm:
BEATEN! It's the game Duke Nukem Forever SHOULD have been. Funny without resorting to dick-jokes, challenging, pretty to look at, fun, reasonable of dick-jokes, the Mighty Boot is actually a weapon rather than just a finishing move. The swearing isn't nearly as bad as people say, the onyl real case of anyone with a constant potty-mouth is the main villain. Also Steve Blum and Jennifer Hale as two of the main characters.

Dead Space 2:
It's Dead Space 1 but Issac talks now. This is acceptable. Being led through the space station with a Necromorph infestation, ended up in...the Church of Unitology. Joy. (They aren't even TRYING to be subtle without the Scientology references anymore)

Weapon: Black Magic
Batman: Arkham City
Started the game. After being arrested and dumped into Arkham city without trial, beat the penguin up while still in handcuffs and had my batsuit delivered. Found that Catwoman had been captured by two-face. Rescued her and tied up two-face. Tracked the joker to a church that coincidentally exploded. Working my way to where he's really hiding.

On a side note, finally found a game that doesn't require Steam as the installer or launcher. so HALLE-FREAKIN-LIULIAH! (Yeah, I still hate steam).
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.

Shizz I got for Christmas today:

Transformers DOTM:
I only got though 1.75 (The Bumblebee one and 3/4ths of Ironhide's) story missions, while I played multiple maps on Multiplayer. In my first match ever, I played as Megatron, got a 9 kill killstreak and we basically crushed the Autobots. Every time I play as an Autobot, we lose miserably and every time I play as a Decepticon, we always end up crushing. This is why whenever the game decides to put me in a match on the Autobot's side, I'm quitting. I've also already noticed lots of people cheating, I guess. Because I would sit there and shoot some guy for 20 minutes, and they just turn around and hit me once and I'm dead. There's no way freaking possible you could be that good at the game. Then everyone on this one team had regenerating blue shields that kept popping back up after you took them down.

Warhammer 40K Space Marine:
Awesome game! It's everything I wish WFC had been, minus the inability to transform. I'm on chapter 8 right now (This is the game I've played the most today) and I also played a bunch of rounds of multiplayer. It's REALLY unbalanced though. In one match, there was this guy with a big ass hammer and a jetpack running around killing people in one hit, whereas all I had was a butter knife. Litterally. And I don't have the patience to sit through the slow leveling up of the multiplayer, and I am way too unstable to keep playing after I get killed.

Assassin's Creed Revelations:
The game I've played the least of. I did the long ass, boring intro mission, I got to Constantinople, and bought some armor as part of a mission, then this guy tried to teach me how to use the hook blade. I got to the part where he teaches you the "hook and run" thing. But I got bored. And the game apparently glitched up and I couldn't do what he was telling me to do, because the guy got stuck behind a wall and all that crap. It wouldn't even let me pause the freaking game. So I quit and went back to Warhammer.
I Am.

I'll just come straight out and admit I don't know who either of those people are.

Batman: Arkham City
Story-wise: After saving Catwoman, ran a side-story for her trying to make friends with Poison Ivy. As Batman, found the Joker and the over-arching plot point. Left the Joker and went on a side-quest hunt. Found 2 Titan containers and took care of a bunch of Augmented Reality side missions. Found the first Riddler room and tracked down 3 informants.

The Augmented Reality missions are more trouble than they should be. When Gliding, Batman has a habit of killing a glide if you get too close to a potential landing point. Not a bad thing normally except when you're trying to thread a needle (so to speak).

They're both very prolific voice actors.

Star Wars: The Old Republic:
Currently tearing through Dromund Kaas like a boss. Now I have to put down a slave rebellion. But first, sidequests!

(Because I learned the hard way that not completing sidequests makes the game soooooo much harder)

Assassin's Creed II:
Been a while since I played this. Fortunately, the last game wasn't hard to remember. As Desmond, escaped Abstergo with Kristen Bell...er...Lucy Stillman, and joined up with her team. As Ezio, became an Assassin and stabbed the crap out of people.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim:
Killed a couple more dragons and did a couple more sidequests. Nothing too fancy. I still feel like a man-god each time I kill a dragon, though.

Started a new character, a Dark Elf Thief. I put some extra effort into her, and, for a Dunmer, she is actually pretty hot. Joined the Thieves Guild, currently robbing people blind.

They are also overused, overrated, and try way too hard to sound cool/badass/like a "strong female character." I mean, Nolan North's in everything, but at least he has a voice setting other than "gravel" and "omg u guise im moar gravelly," plus the ability to act.

Saints Row: The Third [PC]:
Really, Steam daily deal? 33% is the biggest discount you can give? Good thing I found out about that THQ UK webstore sale, where the game was 50% off and came with the Genki pre-order pack and the Season Pass for free. $75 worth of game for $25? Sold. Also, Saints Row, bitches.

I tried my hand at making some characters, if anyone's interested. They're more "homages" than straight-up representations since I suck at making faces, but if you'd like, I put up a Major Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Yoko from Gurren Lagann (by the way, the TOGO-13 rifle is perfect for her), and a few ReBoot characters, including Guardian uniform Bob, casual outfit Mouse, and Season 3 Matrix & AndrAIa. If you're playing as a ReBoot character, try not to overthink the meta-ness once you get to the Deckers' grid.

Got my main character, Inspector Oz, the Australian detective cowboy, to level 19, naturally upgrading his .45s to Level 4. So far, I've finished 3 of the Challenges, but one of them that I've done haven't even appeared on the list since I haven't met the character yet that gives me the challenge. Right on.

A few decent ways to get some nice Respect:
  • Beatdowns. Go up to any pedestrian or enemy (cop, STAG, gang member, furry, etc) while unarmed and press your alternate attack button (default RMB), but don't do this while running. After a short quick-time event, you'll be awarded a nice 50 Respect, assuming you nailed the simple QTE.
  • BASE Jumps. Easiest way to score substantial Respect, outside of Missions, I mean. Go to the first Penthouse you get and go to the helipad. Face away from the building and jump off the left of the helipad. Don't jump off straight or the target will be under the train tracks. After you've jumped off the left, open your parachute, trigger the BASE jump, and float down to the target. You will only need to tap S a little bit when you're nearing the ground, and spin into the landing zone like in SR2. A 2X BASE jump will score you more than 200 Respect, but a 3X one will give you 1,000. Also, 15 BASE jumps and you'll finish that challenge.

You, sir, are a madman.

Assassin's Creed II:
Found out there's a big ol' conspiracy going on, and a bunch of people are dying. On of the conspirators, for instance, who died when I shoved a blade in his face. Now I'm balancing a few side missions and upgrading my villa.

The guy plays Starscream in TF Prime...your argument is invalid.

Transformers DOTM:
I was liking this game way more than WFC! It took everything great from every TF game made before it and rolled it into a ball of pure awesomely epicness. Until Soundwave's level. I'm stuck on the part where you have to run from the erupting volcano, and no matter how hard I try, it either catches up with me, or I fall into a lava pit. After 3 failures, I proceeded to eject my disk from my PS3 and threw it behind the cabinet/shelf/dresser/ hybrid...type thing where all my game systems rest; and was done with the game.

On the contrary. It just reinforces my argument and provides yet another reason for why TFP Starscream is crap.

Saints Row: The Third [PC]:
Reached Level 23 with my singleplayer character. Haven't done "Party Time" yet, but I'm clearing up the Activities on the Downtown islands. Got 12 of the Achievements so far.

The Ultimate DOOM [PC]:
Reached the Tower of Babel, showed that Cyberdemon what a candy-ass he was, and now I'm in hell. Currently at the second level of Episode 3.

Sometimes I can't believe myself. I got Skyward Sword for Christmas, have a backlog of GameCube and GBA games, not to mention Glory of Heracles to finish, and what do I do? Go 8-bit. :BANG_HEAD:

Mega Man in Dr. Wily's Revenge (GB)
Not too bad of a Mega Man 1 and 2 mash-up, a good start. Took me a while to actually get the feel of the game, died a lot of times before I did that. Hey, I'm used to the X, Zero and ZX series... Anyway, once I got into the game I first beat Ice Man, then used his Ice Slasher to put Fire Man on ice. Useful weapon that. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of tackling Elec Man unprepared. As any no hit Buster runner would know, electric Robot Masters are EVIL! I guess Cut Man is next...

I must admit it felt weird seeing Mega Man 2 enemies in Mega Man 1 stages, like Scworms, Changkey Makers (aka Hotheads), and Kaminari Goro (aka Lightning Lords). Don't expect any perfect runs from me yet though. :P
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

- PotP Punch head
- TR Galvatron right arm (the gun one)
- CW Brake-Neck/UW Wildrider, CW Offroad
- TR Twinferno & Grotusque
- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1
- Legacy Core Slug, Sludge & Snarl

That was a generalization. Regardless, that Starscream voice is still undeniably him. Sounds like he just has a cold.

Saints Row: The Third [PC]:
Did the Party Time mission; now own the penthouse downtown. Reached level 24. The next mission is the first Guardian Angel. I really like how the story-based missions introduce the Activities now. I find it's much more effective than SR2's individual characters for each Activity.

Also, here's my take on Kyle Katarn, if anyone's interested.

Well, yeah. There's tons of voice actors like that. Frank Welker, for instance, is easily identifiable. While we're at it, so is Peter Cullen.

Star Wars: The Old Republic:
Fixed a problem I was having where, after a while in game, changing areas would cause major a frame rate drop only when the camera is moving. I fixed it (or at least extended the time I could play before the problem arose) by changing the resolution from 1280x700 windowed to 1600x900 fullscreen.

Okay then.

Finished up the first part of the Class Story for my Sexy Twi'lek Sith, getting her an equally sexy ship. Stopped off on Balmorra...

Then created my Sith Inquisitor's Jedi Consular counterpart. By Tweezy's suggestion, she's a Miraluka. So there's that. I also created a lady bounty hunter, and to continue the pattern, she too is hot.

I swear I'm going to make male characters soon.

Fallout 3:
It was on sale so I decided to give it another shot. I haven't played a whole lot, still just doing random crap around Megaton. Disarming nukes, fixing pipes, repeatedly calling the player character's father "Liam Neeson Dad."

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim:
Joined the Companions (Skyrim's version of the Fighter's Guild) but took a detour for a short version of Metal Gear Skyrim. Also won a drinking contest against Sanguine, the Daedric prince of Debauchery and Hedonism (If Sheogorath is the Mad God, Sanguine would be the Party God) for his staff, only to end up on a crazy chase around Skyrim in a quest I like to call "Dude, where's my Staff?"

It's been a fun day.

Mega Man in Dr. Wily's Revenge (GB)
You know, Cut Man's stage may be the easiest stage in the game, but Cut Man himself is 2nd easiest. But boy, is the Rolling Cutter effective against Elec Man. Maybe because it hits more than once on contact. Anyway, all four Robot Masters are gone, bring on Enker and Dr. Wily!

Nope, Bomb Man and Guts Man didn't make the cut. Surprising, really, since Dr. Wily seems to have a Guts fetish...
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

Got it today! I'm trying to balance an evil and a good karma playthrough at once. In my evil karma play through, I act as if I had super powers in real life. Just going around blasting random civilians to hell and back, blowing up buildings, helicopters, scorching the lives of the ignorant, destroying families, tearing apart the entire world as we know it...it's a lot of fun.

My good karma, however I have to be nice to people...but I still murder the hell out of criminals. So, that's good.

Star Wars: The Old Republic:
Been making and building up more characters. In particular a Jedi Knight who I have named Not-Obi-Wan, as well as rebuilding my Smuggler from the beta. In reality, I've been paying more attention to my hot, red-headed, Miraluka Consular. Got to level 10 and made her into a Jedi Shadow, getting a double-bladed lightsaber for it.

Hooray me.

The Ultimate DOOM [PC]:
In Episode 3, low on ammo. I ran dry and had to punch a Cacodemon (aka a "pumpkin") to death. In other words, smashing pumpkins into small piles of putrid debris, baby.

Cleared the level that was shaped like a hand. That was kind of creepy.

Sanctum [PC]:
Despite a rocky start due to technical issues (restart the Tutorial if it gets stuck at the Encyclopedia; I had to restart about 7 times), I had a blast with this game. Basically, it's a base-building maze-making tower-defence strategy FPS with an adorable female protagonist who manages to be delicious despite not being overtly sexualized. Hell, the Caramelldansen is one of her victory anims. (That being said, her only decent arr-three-four is disappointing only because it's accurate.)

Got 2 Achievements, including the one for the Steam Gift Pile Objective. I shot Santa Claus repeatedly with a shotgun and took is presents. I lost the round, so I guess I deserved that.

Team Fortress 2 [PC]:
Tried to get that Objective for the Gift Pile, collect 3 presents off dead opponents. I only saw a single present in the handful of matches I played, and it was swiftly grabbed by a teammate. Hurm. I could be a jerk and play Scout just to grab presents...

Managed to get the Achievement for defending Gravel Pit without the other guys capturing a point. That was nice, unexpected, and followed with "durr mah team sux etc" posts in the chatbox.

Saints Row, bitches [PC]:
Finished half of the Challenges, even ones I haven't unlocked yet. Damn, I'm good. Took over more than 50% of the downtown area. Managed to 'jack a Black Hawk from the National Guard base. Hhhhngh, dem full-auto rocket pods and chainguns that don't overheat. Did Pierce's Guardian Angel mission, too.

Storywise, went to the Police station, no big baddy there. Went to the Museum, found high security and a signal scrambler problem. Took out 2 scramblers, currently underground for the 3rd.
Spent a lot of time tracking Riddler trophies. Getting a lot of them, but not as many as expected, apparently, because Riddler won't let me into his 3rd puzzle room yet. Also not seeing the 'Watcher' character even though I'm keeping an eye out for him. Completed the AR training.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.

Got my Bounty Hunter up to level 11, got to Dromund Kaas. Ready to kick ass there.

ALSO, I looked up the specifics on a certain HK-droid's appearance in the game. Long story short, Revan has the same voice actor as Kyle Katarn. He also has a purple lightsaber. Everything about him makes an eerie amount of sense.

Punch a Kell Dragon to death for me, eh?

That got my interest. Only one voice actor was able to play Kyle more than once; the others simply were not capable of handling all of the win. Is he voiced by the Outcast/Academy Kyle?
