Deus Ex: Human REvolution
Finally got enough free time to put in a couple of hours. Listing my accomplishments.
- Went to track down a hacker only to find his apartment completely under private police lock-and-key. Snuck in and found the hacker's name.
- Snuck into a nightclub to get the location of runaway hacker.
- FOund the hacker, who offered to help me get into the local Biotech firm's HQ if I can get him a smartcard.
- Helped Malik prove a rich kid unquestionably guilty of murder.
- Saved a captive callgirl before she got forced augmentations.
- Set up a Crime lord for a Drug arrest.
- Stole a smart card from an 'occupied' TYM worker at the love hotel.
- Had said card adjusted so it would work for me.
- - At this point, TYM busted the place down so I had to sneak out.
- Boarded the train to the TYM. now just need to reach the upper city. On the way, saved a trapped worker from a gas leak.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.

The question mark was part of the maze. Since it was so complicated, it needed extra details in order to not be entirely senseless, resulting in the need of dotted lines to signify passages above one another. The question mark was one such passage. Also as a sort of a joke, as if to say "Yes, this maze is complicated."

Back from vacation, got some new games, mostly 2nd hand:

DS Kirby Mass Attack
GBA Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
GB Mega Man in Dr. Wily's Revenge
GB Mega Man III
GB Mega Man IV

That leaves me with Mega Man II and V to locate. Which begs the question: is II really worth it? :P

Kirby Mass Attack
Completed the first island with not so many problems. I actually managed to build up to 10 Kirbys and keep them. The first boss? I really should have seen him coming: Whispy Woods. There's even a level dedicated to his kin #-o On the plus side, he's actually tough to beat for once! I nearly lost mulitple Kirbys with this guy.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

- Jelze Bunnycat =:3

Looking for:
- TR Furos (Hardhead's head) and Crashbash (lost him :()
- PotP Punch head
- TR Galvatron right arm (the gun one)
- CW Brake-Neck/UW Wildrider, CW Offroad
- TR Twinferno & Grotusque
- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1
- Legacy Core Slug, Sludge & Snarl

Anyone want Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box for free? EA's having some kind of promotion on Origin (cringe) for clients in the UK and France. It's supposedly only for those in the UK, but it works in France as well and with a quick VPN login, it'll work anywhere else.

  1. Grudgingly download/install Origin and log in with your EA account.
  2. In the Origin client, click on the Store tab and search for Burnout.
  3. Add Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box to your cart. Proceed to checkout.
  4. For payment method, choose Paypal and scroll to the bottom of the page where you'll find the box for the promo code. Enter the promo code "PARADISE," without the quotation marks but in all caps into the box. this will reduce the price to 0 quid and hide the payment information fields since you have nothing to pay.
  5. Put in your name and address, though I guess you could make that stuff up if you wanted to.
  6. ???
  7. PROFIT!

Keep in mind that the PC version of Burnout was pretty much abandoned by Criterion and EA and there is no way to purchase the stuff in the Burnout Store anymore. It comes with the bikes, the day/night cycle and the party mode, but the Big Island pack was never released for PC and the bonus cars' models are in-game but cannot be used or even purchased. So I can't even buy the Legendary Cars, homages to classics of '80s movies/TV shows. The only reason I'm interested in this game at all is to putz around pulling stunts in the DeLorean time machine. If anyone has the Legendary Cars DLC pack for the PC, please let me know.

Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst [PC]:
Alright, so I found out how to access the single-player Hunters' Guild quests. When forming a team, choose "Single Player" as a game mode instead of "Normal."

Did the first quest, "Battle Training."

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box [PC]:
I'm surprised by how well it runs, but amazed at how little they cared about this PC port. Hell, to quit the game, you have to press Escape and then use the F1 and F2 keys until the "Under The Hood" screen shows up. At least you can redefine the gameplay controls and graphics/sound options in-game.

I'm pissed that the DLC vehicles exist in the game (you can see their models) but you can't use them at all. Trying to copy their models over other cars just crashes the game and trainers/memory editing have proven fruitless. I want those Legendary Cars, damn it, and I'd buy them if EA would just take my money. FFFFFF--

It's a conundrum that is literally killing me inside. I want Burnout, but I have sworn an oath to never, ever use Origin, less I lend any credibility to the twisted Steam clone. (Seriously, they're bragging about having millions of users, but ignoring that most, if not all of them, were forced into it through Battlefield, not by choice) Hell, I'm even swearing off Mass Effect 3 if there isn't going to be a Steam version.

Duke Nukem Forever:
I don't know why I'm playing this again. Sudden urge to do so, I guess. Got to Duke Burger. On my way, i nabbed the "Full Body Tourettes" achievement, as well as the Balls of Steel and Party Animal achievements.

DC Universe Online:
GL Melvin hit level 21. Now he can make constructs of a bomber jet (Which does exactly what you think it does) and an Apache helicopter. This is awesome.

Damn straight. Tired/fed up of EA, but since I have their malware on my computer right now (it was the ONLY way to get access to the Limited Edition content I effing paid for in Crysis 2 since their site will not let you redeem the codes), I figured I'd get their crap for free. At least you don't have to use Whorigin to load it up (I just made a shortcut in my Steam client) and will have the satisfaction of not giving EA money.

And while I do love Burnout (Despite only ever playing it once) I can still get it off of Steam. Not for free, but at least without giving my soul up to EA. I'm not forgiving them for taking Dragon Age II off of Steam right as I was finishing Dragon Age Origins. Though it makes me wonder what's going to happen to the people who owned DA2 on Steam...

DC Universe Online:
You can solo most of this game. Even missions that aren't meant to be soloed, can be. Sometimes it's a breeze, other times it's difficult.

Then you hit level 30, and the game says "You got here alone? No, sir or madam, this will not do." The missions afterwords, even if they have the "You can solo this" tag, are just one harsh ass kicking after another. Sometimes I can finish an instance solo, but it never comes easy. Othertimes, I can barely get a shot off on the first enemy I see before I'm down.

That said, Lady Awesome finished a mission to stop the Specter from being an evil jerk, with help from Green Lantern Hal Jordan and Green Arrow.

There are, off the top of my head, only six loading screens. Only two of them feature men (Lex Luthor and the Joker) while the other four are Wonder Woman, Circe, Harley Quinn, and freaking Power Girl. And mind you, I spent most of the game playing as this. So maybe Freud DID slip in there a bit.

Managed to sneak from the lower city into a tower on the higher city. Not quite the smooth operator I needed to be but managed to sneak in without too much attention. Lots of unconscious guards around here though.
Reached the server room and found the hacker's secret evidence. Plot twist time! Now to continue sneaking around and stealing stuff.

This game is crazy as hell! I'm loving it so far, I may even like it better than Skyrim. I won't say I like it better than Skyrim, but I'm having a lot more fun with it. And I just got it in the mail last night. I feel so bad because my cousin gave me a copy of SR2 when he sold me his 360, but I sold it before I even played it because I thought it would just be a GTA ripoff that took place in the ghettos. Plus, I needed money to buy Mass Effect. I was so wrong.

Nah, that was San Andreas.

The first Saints Row was pretty much as you described it. Wacky, but it tried to have a somewhat serious story about gang life. Saints Row 2 is when the series took off. The over-the-topness was in overdrive, but they still managed to have a story that was fun, with some good running gags and great dialogue. Customization was fantastic. I highly recommend it.

I just started The Third today, and holy crap, after having sank about 150 hours into SR2, does this feel good. Playing co-op with a friend. He's playing as a Jason Statham lookalike (complete with disgrunted Aussie voice that sounds British enough) and I'm playing as a Russian redhead in the Assassin Suit. I guess I'll name her Black Widow, or something.

Anyone know where I can find the super hero mask from the demo? I'm trying to be Batman. I already have the bad ass cape and an all black outfit with a reflective black police car and motor cycle. I don't feel right without a mask. :-(

Can't you just upload your character from the Initiation Station to the Saints Row website, then download it once you're in-game?

I tried, but my PS3 won't let me for some reason.

I've only played the 2nd one but I fell in love with it immediately. Everything that GTA 4 had shed when it moved away from San Andreas' archetype was pushed to the forefront and expanded in SR2. Makes me sorry I ever wasted money on GTA4.

I dunno, I actually liked how GTA4 moved to be more realistic. As for SR3, the more I see of it, the less interested in it I become. I'm just weird that way.

I love GTA IV. The series really matured and it was nice to see such a change of pace.

Magika [PC]:
Played the first mission during the Free Weekend. Pretty bad first impression as I had to restart the tutorial 3 times, messing up the scripting twice because I chose costumes I guess they didn't want me to use. The spellmaking system seems pretty damn deep, which is great, but I just can't get into this. The system requirements also seem way too high for this little title. Maybe it's just not optimized well. The humour is also really tiring. It's "I see what you did there" and not actually funny. There are only so many old memes I can take without facepalming.

Mad respect to these indie guys and much love and success to them, but this one isn't for me.

Saints Row: The Third [PC]:
They weren't joking when said this wasn't just a crappy port like SR2 (which NEEDS the fan-made Powertools and Gentlemen of the Row to run with any kind of playability).

Made two characters, my accidental Black Widow for multiplayer and for singleplayer, a space-age solder with a helmet like one from the Crimson Lance from Borderlands. Storywise, they're both in the same place: the Penthouse is mine. Doing lots of side-crap on my single-player trooper.

Heh. a coworker and I once discussed why I preferred GTASA and he preferred GTA4. In the end, our reasons were the exact same. What I like, he didn't and vice versa. So for me, Saints row is just more of what I loved.

This might sound obvious, but have you checked Let's Pretend, the costume shop? There's one on the southwest island.
