For cleaning, dry brushes work best. I would recommend a tooth brush and a 1" paint brush to remove dust and grime, finish with compressed air. If you have to use a liquid use isopropyl alcohol as it's plastic safe, non-reactive to metals and evaporates quickly.

Tweezers, they'll save you a lot of trouble getting stickers into tight or recessed spaces.

Challenge yourself. Be a MAN.
Use mittens.
Mkdlmr wrote:Any display ideas for tight spaces? I'm trying to fit five Titans (Devastator, Omega Supreme, Trypticon, The Ark, G1 Fortress Maximus) in a fairly small office... I'm kinda putting them wherever they fit atm. Would like to get a sixth Titan (scorponok)...

Put 1 in each corner of the office and put Fort Max on your desk. The OG deserves the primo space.Burn wrote:Mkdlmr wrote:Any display ideas for tight spaces? Knock out a wall.
Move to a bigger house.
Either will work.

Very nice! Can you please share dimensions/footprint?

Sure it is 54 inches Long 50 High and 11 deep
or
137cm X 127cm X 28cm,
It doesn't bother me, but if I had to do it again, I'd probably make it a little taller, maybe 58 inches (147 cm) and 12 inches deep (or 31 cm).
I didn't want to waste a lot of space, and new the tallest titans were 22 inches. But didn't account for things like shoulder towers, or really tall swords .

Well I need to get up there soon, Unfortunately if you look too close, you will see a couple cobwebs in the upper left. . But I put down a soft plastic cover on the shelves themselves (made from a dollar store shower curtain) which prevents the shelves from getting dusty.
However Pressurized Air in a can in your friend. also as others have mentioned cotton swabs, or fiber rags with the least amount of dampness possible, even baby/sanitary wipes I've found useful as well.

My original G1 Fort Max hangs out in my collection room, looking down on all others as he should be.-Kanrabat- wrote:My G1 Encore 23 Fortress Maximus is in the glorious spot of being straight on my living room floor.

Over here, you can buy a big plexiglass sheet and have it cut at the hardware store.
I don't see why you shouldn't be able to do it on your end. Be careful because plexiglass is expensive.
Mkdlmr wrote:Probably off topic, but what are the best small figures to compliment titans? The modern Micromasters legs just constantly fell off...
If you can afford it, get a Perfect Effect Warden. It's a great figure in its own right, representing IDW's version of Fort Max, but it has a commander mode, which is him turning into a head that fits onto G1 Fort Max, giving him a more proportionate head.Mkdlmr wrote:Also, any upgrades and/or complementary figures for G1 Fortress Maximus? I saw they re-made Cog, and there's the toyhax stickers. I'm not sure I want either one [those toyhax stickers look like a nightmare]...
