X, if you're not into season 1-2 that much, then why on Earth are you collecting all those third party minibots? That's a lot of money to spend on characters that were mostly only featured in seasons 1-2.
I never said I dont collect season 1-2 characters. I just said I prefer seasons 3-4 better. If I was going to start a collection of upsized MP scale figures, it would have to be at least the 1986 movie cast. The seasons 1-2 cast just doesnt wow me in the same way. I know they have always been the fan favorites, but not for me personally. Clecting season 1 characters all over again seems pretty redundant. Fillers for my huge classics shelf are much more exciting to me.
So,Basically your saying if HasTak makes MP TF toys from the 1986 cast you would buy them. I gotta ask the Million dollar question. Did you buy the HasTak MP TF toy for Rodimus Prime,Hot Rod?
If hastak COMMITTED to making the whole 1986 cast, I would be interested in buying them. But no cheap shortcuts like Us relase not getting a trailer which is why I didnt buy Mp Rodimus at TRU. I heard the takara version was plagued with problems that hasbro fixed. But no trailer, no deal.

No excuses, just being honest. I had the Hasbro version in my hands. I just couldn't pull the trigger. At the time Takara's "fixed" version of MP-09 was out, MP-10 was already being teased. MP-10 redefined the MP scale and made MP-09 nothing more than a huge stand alone piece. (especially in alt mode) So why even bother buying MP-09 ? I like whole casts, not stand alone figures.

MP-09 is not a stand alone figure. MP-09 scales well with other MP figures minus MP-01 & MP-05.
MP-09 & MP-10 are the same height in robot mode. MP-10 & MP-09 both have trailers & are the same scale in vehicle mode.

Every time you guys post about GRR's Cupid, a Prime gets its matrix.
The choice is yours, and yours alone (and maybe a Mod's).
Looking forward to a color proto of Cupid.

I am looking forward to seeing Cupid in color. Maybe GRR can do a Cybertronian Wheeljack next to go with him.

If you're using MP-09 as Hot Rod (before getting the matrix), then he is way too big scaled next to MP-10. If youre using MP-09 as Rodimus Prime (with the matrix), then they scale together properly. And the alt mode is screwed as Hot Rod. The new MP cars are all smaller.
