BBTS just informed me that my hall of heroes set is in.

I ordered two full sets. If I had known that a lot of the figures were repaints/repackages of the last wave/5 packs I would've picked and chooses who I wanted. By the time I get them from BBTS it won't matter anyway since the current figs will be filed away.

The only hall of fame figure I'm going to get is the bat just because I want the battle damaged head I already have the single card and the one that comes in dvd pack.

One of the things I really like about the new g.i. joe comic books is how there introducing us to destro he doesn't have his mask yet he just some scottish lord who you can tell is a weapons dealer as well as an inventor but doesn't yet have any clear ties to cobra.

They restarted the book AGAIN??!!?? Ya know they should've just kept the continuity going from the Marvel run. Before anyone starts with the whole age thing there's something that has existed in comics since day one, it's called suspension of disbelief. It's how a NYU science major can score not one, not two, but three hot babes, two of whom I believe might have gone both ways, and no one questions a thing. It's how Aliens can come and go from the Earth without a single army firing a shot. It can work for a special military force.

New Movie Joes!

That BBQ and Firefly look awesome! I'm also thinking about getting multiples of that power/black suit Scarlet. The other Scarlet looks very lame though.

I think the only movie toys I get will be the repaints of the 25th versions, and SE, and SS. Of course, I am a Firefly freak, so I will have to have him. The Ice Viper is cool too, although, is that the Ice Wolf's missile included with him? Weird.

With all the different version of cobra commander floating around out there right now I thought I would ask which is your favorite original version and what version have you customized and how did you do it.

Same here. It looks like Firefly is going to be a repaint of the hall of fame version. Ice viper is nice just because he has the holster of the DTC version and the wrapped gun of the old V.2 Snow Serpent. I think that missile has been retooled to be a snow board. The only people I can see buying Scarlet and Cover Girl are the same guys who were disappointed that the l

I didn't know I double posted since I'm doing this from my phone. Damn things supposed to make life easier. Any way I'm kinda glad that they're making so many female figures. Joe was really the first boys toy line to feature strong female leads that I can remember.

Nope, the new TRU Firefly is using Resolute Trooper parts, and a new vest. HoH Firefly uses the Viper torso as well as Snake Eye's arms and legs.

About Firefly's new vest, does anyone else think it makes him look a tad like his Resolute design?

I probably won't be customizing mine, but I was thinking the same thing about using them as generic females.

Out of the old style (O-ring) Commanders, probably version one or two. I recently got the original hooded version and really like it.

From the new style, possibly that one with Tripwire. Never actually bought it, but I did think it was one of the cooler Commanders. He has some of the things I like about Resolute CC, minus the restricted articulation.

I've never customized a Cobra Commander.

EDIT: Firefly's vest isn't new. It's from Airborne. He also has some gear from Falcon.

Seems the new line-up is called Headquarters for Heroes. Can't wait for more!

Well not exactly, he was in the SE and the Ninja Force books of the Marvel run I believe.

Also came in black secondary color where grey was.

CP, single card, TRU 5-pack, and 09 single card Firefly are all Beachhead repaints. Hall of Heroes Firefly uses Viper parts, and the new Firefly uses Resolute Trooper parts.

Oh, my brother has that one (he lets me mess around with his stuff a lot). Yeah, I'd probably buy a new version of him, I still remember when my brother showed me this figure... I was shocked when he told me it was Firefly!

I didn't know he was in the Ninja force comics as I never read them.

Really? They're not using those other arms are they? When I saw the first out of pack pics of HOF Firefly I thought it was CP Firefly with a darker paint scheme and all of his weapons. Funny I just remembered how everyone was so sure that we would get an ARAH v.3 Snake Eyes from the CP Firefly but we never did... yet.
