cobra gunship, cobra hummer, drillering machines, the jet powered snow sled that is all I know for sure from the many many t.v. comercials.

Found the Dragonhawk and Crimson Hydra at TRU today; picked up the DH and left the Hydra for now

Guess we know where I'm going tomorrow. So the gunship is in the movie but no Firefly? So Ebay has plenty of Commandos, and there is a packaging variant, in fact there are several variants in the line. Who asks for these, really?

As Gorgeous as the tf and Joe complete sets from shout are. They arent practical for me cause of their size and odd shapes. My room is full of dvds and boxsets and cds as it is. Im hoping they break the joe movie into a mini series on one of the season sets. I remember seeing it in parts on tv when i was a kid.

TRU also has had HA Sideswipe, and Devastator, so this may end up being a double dip, if I can find them.

Night Raven, I believe is in it. Rocket pack that Storm Shadow wears...oh and the to be released underwater sub for Joe seen at SDCC.

TRU special Bench-press revealed at SDCC. Most people are looking at the figure because it is the supposed Brendan Fraser cameo from the movie, which may or may not be related to him character in The Mummy, or as they have reused Rock n Roll's name for his Bio.

That's an interesting exclusive. Is it supposed to be Brendan Fraser, or a character he made, cause the dude looks too buff to be Fraser.

I'm sure they jacked the fig up a bit. I mean it's Brendan Fraiser. We all could take him in a fight, unless you don't like Tiger Force.

Anybody buy any of the SDCC exclusives? Not very impressive to me, and I even like Destro as a character, just not wanting these toys, I guess.

I haven't yet. I want both. Any word on variants? I also want soundwave and the marvel set and the dvd sets.

On thursday if everything goes well I plan to pick up both the Dragonhawk and Crimson Hydra. I still have reservation about picking up the night raven, I want to see some really world picture taken by someone on here of the night raven so I can decide.

MARS Troopers anyone? They look 100% better than the test shots we saw of how they'll look in the movie and their bio cards. You can see hints of the Cobra trooper, Iron Grenaider, and new movie Viper in them. No swords but the officer has a usable holster. The box I got is damaged so when I see them in store I'll grab another. Keep in mind for the price you're paying for the box.

Well I opened the set and here they are in a nut shell, the rifles that come with the troopers are to big but you can finagel them into a decent pose. The helmets are a little loose, don't turn the figures upside down and you'll be fine. The officer is gold. His holster is the best I've seen. The gun clips into place. Helmet is secure and I like the stock on his SMG. Might buy another set if I see them on shelves.

I believe that set is in stock at HTS for $24.99??? And of course there are codes for free shipping or 10%off.

I don't know if I want them. Probably not.

They're also at TRU.com for the same price. So much for a Target exclusive. And for that price you don't want them.

It is packed in box exactly like the DTC so some assembly is required. Also going by the size I would say it is at least an inch bigger all around to accommodate the new figure proportions. Since the DTC Rhino isn't in long term storage yet I might be able to do some comparison shots. I do hope that Hasbro listens to the requests this time and thinks about doing a mass release of just the chopper, slightly retooled of course.



Rampage is the driver and unlike Cannonball from the DTC Rhino this guy is strictly a ground based driver. He is based off the version two of the classic character, after the name change from Heavy Metal to Rampage. I was floored by the accessories he comes with; SMG with two clips (Beachhead/Firefly version) in black, a gold pistol that fits in his holster, and a helmet with molded com piece. I wasn't a big fan of the SMG but it black it is awesome. The helmet was a bit squished coming out of the box but it was malleable and fit on his head quite snugly. His right hand has an extended trigger figure which is nice. Judging by his jacket Hawk's mold was used for at least the torso. Yes, beware Hawk arms. One gripe I have with these vehicle drivers is that they don't come with stands. That makes no sense at all.

Well today was a great day at tru I walked away with: Hawk, Flash, Cobra Eel (movie edition), Crimson Neo-Viper, Elite-Viper, and agent helix plus the Crimson hydra. The only one that got snatched out from under me was the pitt commando oh well I will be keeping an eye out for him since he is four figures in one. Also if anyone else gets the cobra eel and can tell how the air tank is supposed to attach to the figure. The reason I'm asking is because I'm wondering if there is a way to attach it to front of the figure if it just attaches to the figures back and hose hooks to the back of the head.

I would imagine it is only a re-tool, if that.

I've now done a simple custom to make GI JOE greyshirt snowtroopers. Pretty much, it's just a head and jacket swap. The new Ice Viper gets the Pitt COmmandos body and Ice Viper Jacket/head/helmet.

Pitt Commando gets the Ice Viper's body, body armor, or armament pack, and the accessories of your choice. I've only made one so far, but plan to make more soon.

I have 2 more Pitt Commandos, and I think 4 more Ice Vipers to use.

FYI-- If you live in the midwest and have a Meijer near you, check them out for Joe's, they are $5.00 each... Not bad.

I feel in love with the RHINO during sigma 6 so I had to get it. Isn't Meijer also Khols?

Since I never owned the original vehicle that the crimson hydra is based on I really can't say much. I'm not very good with reviews anyway to be honest it looks like a f-117 nighthawk, but unlike a really nighthawk the tail section slides back and the top half of the plane opens to reveal a missile launcher on either side. On the bottom it has a little mini-stealth landing pod that comes off the bottom of the plane. I have to say over-all it is really nice vehicle with really working landing gear unlike the night raven were the wheels don't move. I would give it a sold 9/10. One of my favorite new figures is flash I just love everything about him and the crimson neo-viper both worth picking up.
