You probably shouldn't have. You already had a rough day, you shouldn't torture yourself even more...
You can read my review of the movie here, if you want.
Well I kinda bought the DVD and watched it yesterday. What I wanna know is why we haven't gotten that sweet jet pack Storm Shadow uses to escape the Pit, a Scarlet with that Camo armor, the ATV that Stone was riding, Paris Pursuit versions of Scarlet, HD and Breaker... Well we know why there isn't a Breaker figure. Did you get a chance to make a wall paper of the Joe Yearbook photo?
Perhaps they'll be conventions exclusives at some point. I could totally see that.
Oh crap, I forgot about that wallpaper-sized version! I have it ready (no red text, just the figures posed), just tell me the resolution you want and I'll upload it for you. Sorry about the wait!
chuckdawg1999 wrote:Convention exclusives? What is this the TFCC? Uh, I kinda wanted Clutches' commentary. Uh part 2, what's resolution?

What size do you want the image to be so that it will properly fit your screen? Right-click on your desktop and choose Properties and then the Settings tab (or right-click on desktop and choose Screen Resolution in Win7). The resolution is a ratio, like 1280x1024 (1,280 pixels wide by 1,024 pixels high).
If you don't know it, don't worry about it. I'll have to add in Clutch's comments, and I'll try to do that today when I get home.

Thanks. The comments kinda remind me of High School.

It's perfect. This is better than the time I had a redhead offer to dress up like Scarlett and meet me in my room. Silly, Raw was on! By the way, why does it say 2008. I thought you did it for 2009 or did I miss something? Either way I think this should be a yearly tradition.
So has anyone gotten anything except for me? I find it funny that I was able to find all the wave 2 Alpha's once and that was it. Can't wait for wave 3 and the boat. By the way, anyone notice that on the back of the Manta box it looks like the vehicle can hold two figures? Interesting. By the way, I've submitted applications for Barnes and Noble to Justice with more to come. I'm hoping that going into next week I will have a job waiting for me.

I went with 2008 because the original had 2008 written on it. If I went with 2009, I would've had to slip a few later figures in there!
I haven't found anything new on the Joe front lately, but I did get a few grails, some Lego, and Classics Bludgeon. PURE win.
Best of luck with the job!

What Grails did you get, just out of curiosity?

Some of my Lego Bionicle grails. Figured I'd get them before their prices skyrocket (as is already happening) due to the line being over. I got the 6 original Toa heroes from 2001 (with their canisters and in some cases instructions) off a friend, which go for a lot now. A few pieces missing here and there, but nothing a little BrickLinking can't fix.
I also got a loose complete Toa Lhikan and Kikanalo with instructions from 2005. This exclusive set (I think it was a TRU exclusive) has gold pieces not found in other sets, includes a very important character, and his noble steed - a biomechanical velociraptor with a katana as a horn on its head.
Last but not least, I got Axonn with instructions from 2006, a huge and highly sought-after set, who, as the name implies, carries a massive freakn' axe. I wanted to get this guy back in 2006, but he was bloody expensive. And when I finally decided to get him, the store stopped carrying toys and turned their toy section into a luggage section. Le fail.

I'm really looking forward to that new VAMP and Clutch. I'm sure you know why.

What Simon Furman did for Bludgeon you have done for Clutch.

Holy crap, that's some high praise! Thanks!
Heh heh, I'm actually transforming Bludgeon right now. Damn, I hate the soft swords. His katana's tip was bent right outta the box. Reminded me of their 3.75" figures' packaging. Each of my Pit Commandos had their assault rifles bent out of shape, and my Wolverine Origins Mavericks' Kalashnikovs were so bent that I gave them to my Secret Wars Magneto figure so they can be pieces of metal he's worked on.
Editor wrote:Destro's line of "You don't get it" is in reference to his line before about who the world would turn to and that he has Zartan kill and take the place of the U.S. President.
Destro was working a con on two ends, not only would he profit on the terrorism side but by having a puppet 'leader of the free world' he would profit on that side too. Of cource this means that the "President" could organize a release, or a situation in which Destro and Cobra Commander can escape for the sequel.

Ah that makes sense. My sister went nuts at the end when the camera zoomed out and we saw the Flagg

I watched my copy of the MASS Device the other night and me and a friend keep seeing bits that made us think of ROC.
Use of the Paris, the whole Rockslide up to the Ice Cave, are two of those. Obviously ROC doesn't have a transport device, but it did have mind control, and MASS Device didn't have Baroness in a relationship with Duke but it did have a battle underwater. Has anyone else seen parallels between the two?
