Dude, we arn't talking about business plans, we're talking simple questions that could in no way shape or form harm their sales and profits. What harm could it cause to say they're bringing back a certain character? What does it hurt if fans know a redeco is coming out? They don't even follow their own Q&A guidelines, it's just arbitrary non-answers they give on a whim.

The notion that providing fans with answers to a few basic questions will wreak your company and loose profits is insane in this situation. If anything, getting the word out that they're bringing back so-and-so character, or redecoing another would DISCOURAGE third party toy makers because fans would be far less likely to fork over big dollars for their products if they knew they could be getting an official toy in the near future, and for less money to boot. As far as worry of knock-offs before the real toy is released, there are ways you can tell fans about your product with revealing enough for copy crooks to do that. If I told you that the new Prime was going to have rockets, or the new Ratchet comes with special robot repair tools, would that be enough for you to create a knock off or competitive product? Of course not, these descriptions are so vague it could mean anything.

Lastly, and I say this with a grin, WHAT COMPETITORS? WHO ELSE MAKES TRANSFORMING ROBOT TOYS IN THE US??? Can anyone give me just one? And don't say something stupid like Gundam or Power Rangers, you know those arn't the same thing at all. How about Japan, aside from one-off toys? What, Machine Robo? Gimmie a break, look at them.


And that was my semi-rant. Who cares about all this since we'll all still be buying TFs anyway, and that's all that matters to Hasbro.


And to the person who called Seibertron a hole, I'd suggest crawling out and into another one if it's so bad. Seibertron is the site most of the other ones wish they were.

We don't ban people for expressing their opinion unless it's in the form of a personal attack. While it's unfortunate if he does feel he can't trust us, I guess I'd rather find out why he feels that way or the need to say that in public to us so that we can resolve any outstanding issues or misunderstandings. People don't have to like me and they don't have to like Seibertron.com. However, if they "troll" the site and make others time here unenjoyable on a regular basis, then that is definitely grounds for starting the ban/suspension process.

I've grown a pretty thick skin over the past ten years with running this site. The only thing that still really eats me up is when people talk crap about my galleries or act like they're real easy to do. There's a reason no one else on the web has done what I've done and it isn't because these galleries are easy to do.

From what I've gathered here in this topic, they'll fit right in with the Hasbro Q&A people.

As far as Fracas goes, no big deal. Would've been nice'n'all, but targetmasters are pretty interchangable so, as long as companies like FP keep chucking out products like Sidearm, we'll be fine.

It's also a great case of a 3rd party group making products that increase the allure of a variety of upcoming Hasbro products in addition to discontinued figures (especially with Classics Hot Rod currently awaiting a re-release!). That kind of mutually-beneficial stuff can only help in ensuring Hasbro's future permittance of 3rd party companies.

Second answer though, way to douse my flickering hope for a Generations Rhinox, Hasbro. That's a kick in the gearbox.

And Seibertron, I though I should add that the superb TF galleries on this site aren't only nigh-impossible to replicate (despite my many efforts), but also part of what truly sets Seibertron apart from the competition. Great job!

...but some pics of Energon Bruticus with the Fansproject set would be awesome, and might just nudge me off the fence
