If they go up further you will return them? I'm confused.

If the price goes down, I can get a price match... what's so confusing?

Stores actually do that? TRUS never does that in my neck of the woods.

Many retail stores in the US have some period of time where, if an item goes on sale for a better price after you bought it, you can get an adjustment. Some retailers allow this to stretch to other retailers' sales as well and give posthumous price matching within a certain time period. Reason: before these policies existed, people would just return things (potentially used things) within the return period and then just go re-buy it. This ultimately costs more to the retailer than just making the adjustment, which then also makes the customer happy.

I'm pretty sure they wont be. The fact that a few other sites have them means that its automatically not exclusive. Also, in the Philipines where they were first discovered, they were found right next to YOTG Optimus Prime who I can bet you 50$ is not a KMART exclusive.
Also, they have french on the box and there are no KMARTS in Quebec, where the french would ber equired. Thus, spending significant extra cost for having french means that these are meant for distribution elsehwere than KMART.
However, if you are wondering if this is the only place in the US where you can find the insecticons in stores, then .... maybe. But this by no means is the equivalent to them being exclusive in general.

Also, I am wondering how essential it is to have the molds. The original molds that still exist are probably really beat up and would need some restoring. Wouldnt it be simpler for Hasbro to reverse engineer the molds based on the toys they still have (I am certain they have file copies of these toys)? The engineering and design phase are still unecessary, there would just be the added cost of redoing a mold but I doubt it would be more costly than restoring what they have (since the restoration would also need "consulting" from an original toy).

You would think that putting each piece in a 3d scanner would do the job but Im no expert. But if they dont own the rights to the mold in the first place then there could be legal issues in making what is basically a copy/ko. Again, no expert.
