I gave up. Transformers fans are still *CONSTANTLY* asking for Devastator, Predaking & Blaster. No matter how many we already have I still see those 3 names popping up constantly.![]()

Once in a while Hasbro throws me a little scrap or crumb like Fangry. And I jump on it like a starving dog. And that's the best it's gonna get.![]()
I wonder how many years will go by & how many more Devastators & Predakings we'll get before they give us Squeezeplay or Horri-Bull. It's been 5 or 6 years since they released Chop Shop & still no sign of Ransack, Barrage or Venom.
It's really hard to stay interested. I'm hanging on by a thread. They're releasing just enough cool new stuff to keep me in.

You will never, ever, EVER see them again. those are Bandai's property.
FOR EVER. So if you want a modern take of the Bandai Insecticons, take it to Bandai. Like they did for the classic Gobots.

I'm not a lawyer, and maybe I missed something in the time since RiD and when CW Chop Shop came out, but I personally don't think this is accurate. The original toy designs and the molds are Bandai's property, but their names and characterizations are Hasbro's. Hasbro would need to make updated transformation designs for updated toys, which would obviously mean new molds. IP doesn't mean "no one else can make a cicada that turns into a robot for 35 years."
Of course, none of that means that Hasbro wants to make new Deluxe Insecticons, or that they should, just that they can. There are lots of reasons they still might not want to.

If that was true, we would have seen Gobots Cy-Kill, Leader-One, Scooter, and so on by now. But to avoid the Bandai license, they would have to change them so much that they will not be recognisable.
If the Bandai Insecticons ever come back as Transformers, they would have to look so different, that they would have nothing to do with the originals, making those "remakes" pointless.
They could make a Select SS-86 Wreck-Garr in Cy-Kill colors but that's about it. Like they did with Universe deluxe Mirage in Gobots Crasher colors. But both aren't nor will ever be the classic Gobots.
They could make new original character though. I'll always welcome NEW characters rather than pale imitations.

-Kanrabat- wrote:I don't get why are you mentioning Predaking. There was only TWO. The G1 original, and that huge Titan one. That's it. It's not a team that is remade over and over. If people want a Combiner-Wars sized Predaking, they'll just have to go for an undersized K.O. Personally, I don't feel the need at all because the G1 original is already excellent and IS CW sized already.
-Kanrabat- wrote:Now that leave the "big six" that are being remade over and over again, meaning Optimus, Megatron, Soundwave, Bumblebee, and Starscream. But those are the breadwinner, the gateway to Transformers for many.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

... which makes sense if you think about it because he doesn't really need them given the base figure (Classics Jetfire). Blurr and Goldbug got new heads like the originals, Megatron got new parts to turn him into a "jet" like the original, and the swords for Starscream are because of the base GF Voyager Starscream which had them built in.
Was the app a pain? The only reason I didn't order that Soundwave was not wanting to create another account with another store for a single item.AcademyofDrX wrote:Jelze Bunnycat wrote:D-Maximal_Primal wrote:On the topic of Shattered Glass Jetfire, I am a bit bummed he didn't get any retooling or new weapons at all, the others at least got new heads or parts.

Plus he comes with the same extra battle mask and armor accessories that Siege Jetfire came with, so it's already loaded up with accessories, and many of us we don't use those with our Siege Jetfires anyway.
I ordered the J. Balvin Soundwave for some reason, so SG Jetfire will get his purple guns.

There are a lot of nerd brand partnerships, but I don't think it's very likely that I'll be interested in their offerings in general.
