If it is just for a new gallery, I have lost some respect for the site. Sure, figures we'll never have are cool to look at, but come on... Do we really need to do something like this to promote it???
I understand that if it is Ramulus it's a "rare" repaint, but give me a break! I saw the regular version in clearence racks years ago, so seeing a "rare" green version of a toy I didnt want back then doesnt warrant all this... How much time have all of us wasted on something SO trivial?? Make it a head line, we'll all go "cool," look at it and move on with our lives trying to find the current elusive figures that are WAY cooler then some "rare" repaint of an unpopular figure to begin with.
I pity anyone that spent $1000+ on it. Toys are to be fun, toys are a thrill to hunt, and anything else is just attempting to play "one ups man" with the world.

To be honest with you, I have to whole heartily disagree.
This thread did what it was meant to do and lots of people had fun. If you did not share in our joy then I am sorry.

You can "disagree" all you want... I enjoyed it until I found out what it was about, which seems a TAD overrated for what it is. As far as "sharing joy?" Joy?? Is this supposed to be Christmas or something? All I saw was a momentary escape from the norm, but it seems to have ended in a lame and disappointing fashion.
I think you put a little too much importance and energy on the trivial and less than incredible.

again I say Bravo, most us had a good time with it...NOW WHERE ARE THOSE PICS!

I never recieved a single warning via PM or anywhere else that I might no about.
In otherwords, I was banned ENTIRELY for making what I would certainly consider to be a completely tounge-in-cheek and innocent joke about the silliness of the "He is coming" thing.
And it turns out it's just a Ramulus repaint, either way, great. So I was right to be tetchy, after all. You were all being messed with and you don't care. You'd rather fixate on someone telling a movie-pushing troll where to shove it.
I didn't do anything wrong. Or at least, if I did, I was never told so. I upheld unpopular opinions assertively, and criticised those which were popular. Of course people are going to complain! Just like a racist nation is going to complain about activists, as an extreme example.
Any intelligent moderation staff would take this into account. It is the reason Republics were created(as opposed to democracy). The majority is not always correct(and very often isn't).
If you are honestly that bothers by posts like mine, you don't have to read them. Ignoring large scale force of opinion like was present when I came here, or a ban is a hell of a lot harder. If any of you knew a thing about utility, you'd know it's wrong to ban unless absolutely necessary.
What the admins did and what some of you are supporting is immensely childish(and yes, far more so than a Closet joke, which by the way was following on from people joking about whether or not he had a girlfriend - why was that acceptable?). You like in an age of convenience, where you can just wave away people you don't want to have to deal with.
It takes a real man to use a "Ban Hammer"? Plaese. It takes a child with a fetish for enforcing their will on others. It takes a real man to face up to a situation, it takes a real man to put rules and "private property" aside and admit they made a wrong decision, or weren't tolerant of others.
Once again, I recieved no warnings via PM and was banned solely on the merit of one comment. Pulling up stuff afterwards doesn't count- it would have been brought up before.
And no matter how much you criticise me, I can point to Sonray. My God, he is the biggest troll I have EVER seen on a Transformers board, and you never did anything about him, and if you did it took you damn ages. Not only that, you DELETED a thread where we argued. What the hell is in point in that? How are people meant to learn by example from that?
I'm a feather duster compared to him. But since he was enforcing a POPULAR and acceptable opinion, that's okay.
This is not how you deal with problems. I hope at least some of you have some kind of principles and realised that what happened here today was wrong. I come from a very tiny group in this fandom that believe It is much better to talk to people, reason with people, instead of banning them.
I do not recall anyone doing that with me.
There is absolutely no justification for banning someone outright before you've reasoned with them at least once.
I was put off this community at first by the immense support towards the movie, bias against anyone that complains. Now, if people support these kind of actions, I think that this community is beyond saving. You can't have a real community based on such shallow values, such empty ways of dealing with those who aggressively disagree with you.
Honestly, who is more reasonable, someone who, albeit is bandodging, is trying to talk in terms of fairness and reason, or someone who bans someone for the LULZ and people who HIGH FIVE because someone they disagree with the methods of has been eliminated?

there are a couple of points that i disagree with you on here.
#1 Not every member of the forums support the movie. Perhaps most do, if for no other reason than it has provided a scene that hasnt really been available since g1.
#2 The mature members of the forum(yes some of us are)will not condemn you for having a differing opinion...however we may be forced to debate.
#3 I don't feel that we were takin for a ride, or w/e analogy anyone should feel necessary to use for being given false hope. So the staff hyped up a gallery of a figure...the figure was never released and only around 10 are known to exist...i think that warrents the hype.
I cant say i remember reading your previous posts, nor do i know if you have been warned or not. My understanding is that you were constantly spouting the negatives...which essentially functions as a poison for this kind of environment. Whether or not that is grounds for a ban is beyond me. Should they have given formal pm warnings? probably. Are they within their rights as mods to enforce rules and regs in any manner they see fit to that situation? yep.
zatara1701 wrote:My last thought is this...
I read through several pages of the thread, and I see I am not the only one to be disappointed by the "hype."
Was it fun? Sure, but I simply think it's like a good movie that ends "flat", it builds you up then, BLAH... anticlimatic to say the least.
I have to say I enjoy this site for the most part, but I think it's sad that just because the "powers that be" thinks something is cool, they attempt to sway and insure their opinion is the last one heard.
I have been a Transformer (and toys in general) fan for agesI guess I'm just not that BIG of a fan, since I didnt get loads of "joy" and "fun" out of this.

It's gotta be Nemesis Prime because the image looks like a dark version of a computer matrix, and was'nt that Nemesis Prime's face in the background of the page for Optimus' spotlight preview. I think it's page 2 or 3 where we see the past Prime? Stop snickering!!!
