I'd like to give it a shot but other than doing up some images I'm kinda tapped out on the creatvie end. Even if you just have a running monologue with a series of images going on in the background like some of the Mosaics I coudl probably handle that.

What program are you using and is it freeware?

For the 3D modeling and rendering I'm using Truespace. I have verison 3 and version 7. 3 is a bit more basic but 7 is the one with all the bells and whistles and where they went completely overboard with options. But they are both free. Only 7 is available through their website though. It's from a company called Caligari that got bought out by Microsoft which is why Truespace is free now.

You know someday I might get on my 3DS Max and put together something along this idea. Not anytime soon though, but it would be fun to do I think.

It would be fun, but see my sig. The pointy-ears in my sig is a lot more fun. And the chaos we stir up for the monsters of Erinn is sweet. Plus, any can wield a blaster or gun or whatever...but being a true archer...letting shots fly true.

Ummmmm......Anyway....

I'll be posting the preface and Chapter one to the official HMW2 story in the next couple of days on pages developed specifically for this backstory. I promise this will all just set the stage for the beginning of the game where you guys can jump in and go your own directions with your teams once the game starts.

Chapter 1: Emperor of Insanity

A new chapter will be released every so often up until the end of the story and the release of the game. I have them written but just need to HTMLize and add some graphics.

....This will definitely get you guys ready to fight for your factions when the time comes

I hope he doesn't use any of the players teams really, because then you get people being butt hurt about their team not being used, not to mention the mirad of clones of canon characters.

The official setup story will be canon setup (as much as possible) in a canon time frame with canon characters. Thus explaining why canon characters will be locked out on HMW2 and why you will see "classic battles" where you can fight with/against canon characters.

Like I said, when the game launches, the fate of your teams and characters are in your own hands.

As for the question of why this is the "official" back story. The Answer is that it simply leads you into the launch of the game and gives you a backdrop for the characters, functionality and items that you will see in the game.

It would have one character from each real live person, so if you have multiple accounts, only 1 from 1.

I wrote a quick 'HMW: Tales fromt he CR Chamber' today. Did a quick rough drawing of the page and am going to work on piecing it together this week. It's at least 13 renders I'll have to set-up plus effects and photo-shopping, plus I need to put together the characters bio to go with it. So make that 15 renders and photo-shopping.

I might just have something in a week or two to show for it.
