Hydrax Plateau

Smoke billowed as the dust began to settle once more upon the Hydrax Plateau. One side was forced to back, licking their wounds and vowing vengeance. Still, a lone cat wandered in the shadows, waiting. Listening. Several small teams of Autobots had come to the area to seek out a rumored energy source only to find it full of fangs. Some battles would forever be logged into memory and on the closed doors of CR chambers. But the fight is far from over.

“Is it over?” The sound of the comm unit came to life.

“Yes.”

“Good now we.*zzfftzztt.*”

“I got one over here!” Gel Shark hilted his purple lightsaber. “It’s still crawling with Decepticons!”

“Doesn’t matter what we do, it will be for a while. You know they never stay down.” Search had come around the edge of a dilapidated building. “You can send them into stasis lock as many times as you want, they still keep comin’ back.”

“I know, and I struggle not to help them.” Gel Shark shrugged. “Team of medics and science officers. Go figure right?”

“Don’t worry, that’s the Autobot way.” Searcher smiled. “Did you catch what he was transmitting?”

“No, I didn’t.” the shark responded.

“That’s too bad, if we knew where they were going to strike next we could be ready.” Taking one of his blades Searcher lifted the little ‘Con to have a look. “Hey, get the other crews, and let’s pack it up.”

“Why? We just finished.” Gel Shark took another look. “Is he someone special?”

“I’d say so.” Steven Strong rescue stopped just short of the now small group of Autobots. “That’s one of Soundwave’s. Seems our little hunt caught the optics of Megatron, himself. Let’s pick up the pieces and get out before we have more Decepticons here than we can handle.”

The look on Gel Shark’s face told the whole story as he backed away. “Pick up the pieces. Right.”
“Autobots! Let’s get to work!” Highrise called. He had heard what was being talked about. “We’re going to have to report this in.”

HallowJack stood there, looking to the direction he last saw one of the Decepticons. “I don’t care if they think they have the sector. We’re going to take it back and then some.”

Darkmount

Laughter could be heard coming from Darkmount home and principal base of the Decepticon forces.

Naval Strike strutted through the hall. “We gave them fishes what for!”

“Maybe I can go back to being the Rabbit we all know and love now?” Bun-bun asked.

Psychout shook his head. “AH! I still smell like a tuna!”

“But it was fun.” Naval Strike added.

“BAH!” a fist came down on the table, grabbing the celebrating ‘Cons’ attention. “You got lucky.” Thundertron looked at them. “You outnumbered them, and still one of theirs DOUBLED any one score you had.”

Naval Strike just gave him the finger.

“Brilliant.” Sustain injected. “Oh sure, we have control of one sector. Just one. How much longer till someone over there lights a fire under someone’s bumper and they take it back?”

“They can’t!” Exodus laughed. “I’d like to see them try.”

“You know, Sustain, maybe if Thundertron got off his aft, you guys could have been out there.” Wrath piped up.

“And come back a fang factory? I think not.” Thundertron growled.

“It matters not.” Soundwave said. “Once we extract Ravage we will move to the next one.”

“And which one is that?” Overwatch asked.

“The one with the most Autobot presence.” Soundwave intoned.

“Great, so we’re going to be in for a fight.” Naval Strike grinned, not that you could see it. “Maybe Edge will knock the rust off his thrusters.”

“Go Repair yourselves. I will have news of the strike location soon.” Soundwave said.

“Man. Way to shut the party down, Soundwave.” Naval Strike headed out.

Iacon

“It seems the Decepticons pulled out.” Nightwing said as Steelsong slowly walked past her.

“I did my best, there were just so many.” Steelsong looked at Nightwing. “I fear if we hadn’t been there….” She didn’t finish her sentence.

“I know you did. You all did.” Nightwing nodded. “Go .. rest.” Steelsong nodded as she trekked the rest of the way in.

Dragonslayer stood there next to Nightwing. “I thought we had a chance. No one expected those sharks to pop up like that. And now….” He looked over at Bruce. “Maybe we can use that. I mean they do eat just about anything.”

“Don’t fret just yet.” Colossus Prime sat at a console, “It’s one sector, and we have the high ground. We will choose one before their.. party is over and take it before they can mobilize.”

Nightwing turned to view the larger Autobot. “Not a bad idea. But can we? We have so many wounded.”

“We can and will.” The Prime nodded.

Since the ruling was a Decepticon win. The Autobots now get to choose a sector to fight for next.

Do you dare invade the newly acquired Decepticon territory or do you forage on to a new area to seek out a new find?

Anniversary? Anniversary of what?

Though I have to say, that doesn't interest me as much as the 'pick a partner' comment, which both partially worries me AND leads to a question - what happens in case of odd numbers on either side leaving someone without anyone for a partner?

There have been mixed-faction teams in this in the past, it can just make the scoring a ton more complicated. I'm sure we'll think of a way around it if we do get any left out.

*Bump*

The dust has finally settled on round 1 with the

taking the victory at Hydrax Plateau, and we hope all the winners are enjoying their Sharkticons, but as Jack Hallows pointed out the vastly outnumbered bots really weren't all that far behind, and are definitely still in the running for the next few rounds.

Just to give you an idea of what we have in store over the next few months, here is our rough ideas of the tourneys planned (subject to change.)

March Starting next Friday, 8 am (GMT) - A scavenger hunt run by Sustain.

April - Scalp hunt/Capture the flag-style team hunting, maybe with a bit of a Spring theme to it.

May - the Fourth be with you!

June - A FULL ON MURDERKILLDEATHWAR!

July - An alt hunt to celebrate three very important birthdays on the 13th!

After that, who knows? Ideas are welcome... If you have any questions etc. keep them coming below!

Note: We realise that June is still a long way off to hold the first full-on war tourney, but as they require a ton of manpower and effort to organise and score, and both Sustain and I have lives, this is the first opportunity when both of us have the time free to dedicate to it. Hopefully you'll like what we have between now and then!
