I'm trying to make one perfect Motormaster from two separate ones. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to knock out the pin the connects the upper arm to the chest. It's not the standard pin because it has a head at the top. I managed to knock it out about 1/4" but could not pull it out or twist it out or anything so I just knocked it back in.

Basically what I'm trying to fix is that the paint on the passenger side windshield is messed up on one and the paint is messed up on the driver side on the other. Urgh. Just want it to be right so I can photograph this awesome toy properly.

I don't have the figure. Any pics of the pin in question?

It's a pin that looks kind of like a small nail with a head at the top. Normally pins aren't a problem for me and I can pop pins out pretty easily but this special type of pin with a head on it is giving me a bit of trouble unfortunately.

It's the pin that's toward the front of his chest on the top. It's the pin that connects the arm swivel in the shoulder area.

As the pin does move a bit, and this is speculation, but it could be grooved in a way the panels need to be positioned at a particular angle to ease separation.

That would make sense. Now if I only new which way they need to be angled.

I'm wondering if it might be something like a rivet instead of a pin. In the pic below it looks like the top bit of red is two pieces of plastic. If that's true then they probably glued them and then possibly put a rivet was through to ensure they stayed together.



So you might be running into the top two red pieces are riveted and then a pin driven through from the bottom until it butts up against the bottom of the rivet. I'll stop at TRU tonight and see if they have Prime. If they do I'll tear him down to find out so you don't have to destroy yours to figure it out.
