This^^^^

I think the limb-bots look fine, but that Motormaster is total crap.
If someone fixes that like they did for FoC Bruticus, I'll be a happy camper.

I have no problem with Motormaster's bot or vehicle modes (which I find delightfully chunky - or fluffy, if you get the reference), but the torso mode is a bit squat. Still, I think he'll be a lot of fun, and certain poses should help alleviate the odd proportions.

My biggest problem with Hasbro's Menasor is his head is way to small (and a bit ugly) and his hands are just way too big so he looks weird.

I think Motormaster looks pretty decent . I've been wanting a stand alone voyager MM for years now and this will be filling that spot , yeah it's not my perfect vision of MM but he's big beefy and the most important part he has a bucket head .

I know, right? They're pretty fricking big. If leader Jetfire is the same height as the AOE leaders, we can expect them to be just as tall as FP Menasor. Maybe a bit taller even.

I've also been waiting for a good stand alone Motormaster. I think I'll get an extra to lead my motley crew of mismatched Stunticons:

Where does that put them in terms of scale? I think they may even be bigger than Herc or Uranos!

Those are a lot bigger than I speculated they would be.

Anyone wanna guess how many waves 2015 will have for the combiners.
Anyone wanna guess what combiners will be in waves 3, 4 & maybe 5.

Safely guessing at least Four waves. With maybe wave 5 in December 2015.

Thinking each newer wave will have a newer combiner in it. guessing wave 3 will be Defensor. Hoping and guessing wave 4 is Predaking. speculating wave 5 might be Bruticus.

Since 2017 is a TF5 Movie year. This leaves the 2016 year wide open for more Generations toys. So safely guessing that their will be more newer Generations combiners in 2016 like Abonimus, Computron, Devastator and Seacons.

I don't know if it'll be anything like that. Right now we have Menasor and Superion, but Motormaster is a repaint of Optimus and they've already teased an Optimus-based combiner, so that means we'll either get two new combiners, or really lame versions of two older ones.

As I mentioned elsewhere, given Menasor and Superion include an alt mode change for 1 member of the team, we might see a non police bike Groove.

Guessing the 2015 Stunticons are going to get repainted in those season 2 Masquerade Autobots colors. With that 2015 Voyager Optimus as the Masquerade combiner team leader.

Guessing the Protectobots police bike is needed, So HasTak can recolor it for the Technobot motorcycle-bot for Computron.

Guessing 2015 Defensor will get a 2015 Stunticon car-bot repainted as protectobot streetwise. 2015 superion helicopter-bot repainted as 2015 protectobot blades. While HasTak can create 3 brand new molds for the other 2015 protectobots.

Suspose if HasTak wanted to be clever they can give the 2015 Protectobots a rescue ambulance alt mode like movie-verse ratchet has. So they can easily use it later on for 2015 Combaticons Swindle.

Speculating hasbro is not going to create 20 brand new molds for the 2015 waves 1-4 combiners. guessing HasTak is going to try to re-use and recolor toys within the combiners teams. like doing that rescue helicopter for superion that can easily get repainted into a protectobot blades. doing that pickup truck for menasor that might get repainted as swindle for bruticus. having that tank from brawl retooled with a drill and using it for computron. maybe reuse that techobot drill tank as a constructicon for devastator.

Think 2015-2016 Computron is a easy one for HasTak not to use any new molds. HasTak can take the jet from superion, the drill tank from bruticus, the car from the stunticons, the bike from defensor. retool silverbolt as scattershot.

If HasTak does 2015-2016 combiners for the 1986 Predacons and 1986 Terrorcons. Guessing HasTak will try to re-use and recolor molds between these two beast-bot combiners. Like having Divebomb and Cutthroat use the same mold. while Sinnertwin and Rampage use the same mold maybe with a retool.

Suspose HasTak can take that 2015 new mold fire engine truck for Hotspot. retool it with a crane then recolor it and re-use it for 2015-2016 constructicon hook. Use that Technobot drill tank for a 2015-2016 Constructicon team member.

Guessing it would make sense to give 2015 Hotspot a new mold fire engine truck. So it can get retooled with a Crane and used for 2015-2016 Constructicon Hook.

By my speculations 2015 Defensor will already have a 2015 superion helicopter-bot as blades. A 2015 Stunticon car-bot as 2015 Streetwise. with possible other 3 new molds on the team.

Have we forgotten about this image? This look looks nothing like Defensor at all and, if Motormaster is based off the Voyager Prime mould as suspected, Optimus Prime will be making the core of this. That's why I suspect new combiners over them strictly giving us older ones.

Or a really crappy Defensor.

Could this be a variation/homage of Energon Prime, which was a combiner of sorts?

Which would be bloody horrible, as that would imply a five member, "Scramble City" style team for the Constructicons. And unless for some reason they are homaging the Energon Constructicons rather then the G1 ones, that is not how the Constructicons need to be!

I imagine Voltron Energon Optimus is what they're going for with that pic.

But also look at the Kre-O combiners. They've introduced new-ish gestalt characters like Grimstone and Volcanitron in that line, so I think beyond speculation, there's really no saying for sure what Hasbro's planning with Combiner Wars until we get official confirmation.

It doesn't HAVE to homage Energon Optimus. It looks nothing like him, head aside (and that's just due to them both being Optimi). It can just be a combining Optimus all on it's own without being a homage.

I got to say I really like the Hasbro offerings.

Uranos combined doesn't remind me of Superion too much, it has too many colors and panel detailing, it is too busy in my opinion..

I agree about Uranos looking a little busy but at the same time i just looked at CW Superion then looked at Uranos on my shelf and laughed at Hasbros effort .

While there not too bad for cheap retail combiner toys there not what i'm wanting in my collection.

After getting Talon in hand while CW was being revealed just made me appreciate being able to buy these "superior" 3rdp combiners. I mean to me just Talon alone blows both these combiners away .

My problems with the TFC Combiners. Is they over detail on one area of the toy that's not needed or noticed. Then under sculpt detail on key areas of the toy that stand out more.

Think TFC puts a lot of high sculpt in the core team leaders toys. Think TFC put such little sculpt and details on the limbs-bots, that they look like low sculpted ko's.

Fell in love with TFC's Silverbolt as it homaged ROTF Jetfire's jet mode and vibed his outdated mode in 1985. Also Fell in love with TFC's Hotspot as it looked like a 2000 Fire Convoy update toy done right. But if TFC is going to create terrible and low sculpted limbs bots think it's pointless buying the entire team or just one member toy.

As a guy who bought TFC's Uranos I'm really trying hard to be impartial here. He does have his flaws, such as the hips being too weak. And it has visible hands just sticking out of two of the planes (there HAD to be a better way to do that).

And the official Superion up there is a floppy barely-holding-together prototype; the real deal would probably be better. But if I take price out of it and just focus on what I like ... I like TFC's take. I even like the proportions better on TFC's take, and it had supermodel long legs.

I have to admit, though ... I do, generally, like TFC's stuff.

Not that I won't get me an official Superion.

Not to clear but does Hasbro Superion have a mouth or faceguard?

I don't own FP Menasor but if given the chance (money), will get the set without second thought. FP nailed the look. Hasbro (which I WILL get) kind of dropped the head design........reminds me of Unicron wtf?

As X mentioned, you get what you pay for. Details, articulation accessories and functionality.

Comparing the official and 3rd this early? A bit unfair. Let's get back 1 year from now (I'll be getting the Tomy versions)
