I've had nothing but good things to say about the SanDisk MP3 players I've owed, and I payed under $100 for my 2G e250. The only reason I replaced my old player with the Sansa e250 is because SanDisk apparently doesn't make the memory card the old one takes anymore (my old player is OLDER than even the iPods).
Counterpunch wrote:There are other good mp3 players out there. All I'm saying is that for $250 you are getting 80 gigs + video on the iPod Classic.

If you intend to watch videoes/TV episodes/movies on your player, than yeah, I can see why you'd need 80Gs. (And the initial poster seems to be intending to do just that.) Personally, I don't see the attraction of watching shows/movies on a 2-3 inch screen.

I downloaded it the other night, but haven't popped one of my dvd's in to rip yet... I have a couple friends that love it.

(besides my shuffle, of course) man, i am impressed. it is seriously a huge jump from the basic, music-only ipod to the god of all MP3 players, lol. now i have to start ripping dvds and loading this sucker up!
(does anyone else's make a "weezing" noise when its connecting and searching?"-nevermind, it's typical)
For everyone looking for a DVD to iPod converter, the best one i've found is called "Ideal DVD to iPod Converter." it's super-simple and all-in-one!
