So DOTM goes down this summer and lets say just for this question I ask it is the LAST movie made. How long do you believe the movie toy line will continue? Do you think there will be any good Transformers that will be skipped on and not made into a toy?

My guess is they could drag it out about 18 months at best.
New pics added as I find time.

Weapon: Twin Sonic Cannons
The movie label will stop probably by Christmas, but repaints will pop up for several months after that.

The question for me is what comes after the movie line ends?
I've not been paying much attention to TF: Prime; has it been well-received enough that it could potentially become the new 'face' of the franchise? Or does Hasbro have something different in store?

The movie line will continue forever thanks for Bumblebee repaints.

And yes, they may well fail to produce certain cool figures as toys - we never received Scrapper. They will probably also give us really poor toys that don't do justice to the on screen design (I'm looking at you Bonecrusher & Megatrons)

As long as they keep making movies. I wouldn't be so quick to assume that DOTM will be the last.

Yeah, all we know is that this will be the last Michael Bay Transformers. Hasbro will then most likely make 4 without him or reboot the franchise. Until a Transformers movie under-performs, I don't think they'll call it quits. But in the event there's a long hiatus between movies, Transformers: Prime is indeed a likely candidate as the dominant line. And while the Revenge of the Fallen title didn't fill the gap, I consider N.E.S.T. Alliance and Hunt for Decepticons to be part of the Revenge of the Fallen line, and they just about carried us through to Dark of the Moon. With that in mind, Christmas 2012 will probably be when the line ends.

If this toy line does as well or better than Revenge of the Fallen, then I would expect a similar pattern to 2009-2010. It would probably continue until Christmas 2012, but it could continue until that point under "spin-off" lines, like the current Transformers toyline. This movie continuity, whether you like it or not, is extremely profitable, which Hasbro as well as the stores that carry them love. So the money they make will reflect the length of the toyline.
And of course they can't make every single character, so some "good" characters (although that's merely an opinion) will end up forgotten, much like a few of the Contructicons were.
But I'm sure Transformers: Prime will pick up the brand after the movie universe is retired permanently. After all, the TF: Prime logo is even printed on the DOTM packages. But it seems for now Prime will be the "flagship" continuity after DOTM, although Hasbro's full future plans are unknown to the public at this time.
Please note: If you think I may be joking, I probably am.

I hate the movie interpretation of TF but for those who like it I hope you still get something from it after the movies are over. I just hope your stuff won't take up whole sections of shelves anymore.

Unfortunately for you, it probably will take up full sections of the shelves until the end of 2012. You'll just have to endure it. But hey, if this toy line goes over well, that means it'll support a healthy line of classics to follow. (How about a G1 Ultra Magnus, Hasbro?) Anyway, thanks for the good wishes for the movie line. I respect those who do not wish destruction or a boycott.
But anyway, I'm sure the next great thing in Transformers after the movie will unite some and divide some again. It's just human nature. But it will most likely still keep the brand profitable...as long as it's not like Kiss Players or something.
