$300? while some do have crazy prices, I am seeing loose ones for much less, both as individual components and sold loose together.

Maybe I wasn't lucky.

But as I said, I'll be looking for the loose original bots to replace the KOs. As for the accessories, KO they shall remain.

Hopefully in the meantime, these KOs will prove more durable than my KO RID Commandos. Especially the Rollbar/Greejeeber KO, who makes G2 SLINGSHOT look brick-durable by comparison.

Got a rather awesome haul in today, another childhood grail of mine; the utterly excellent Energon Landmine!




I actually got him MISB, but anyway; he's absolutely fantastic. Looks and works great in both modes, easy but interesting to transform, fun to mess with, just a total king of a figure. If you can get him complete, do it. You won't regret him.

I only have the treads and the crane boom from Energon Landmine's rear section, sad to say. Been looking on and off for the right partial Landmine to match them.

And that Amazon sale was the nudge I needed to buy Rodimus.



A bit more exciting for me was the score from TFSource for Reflector (Visualizers).
While the set from FansToys is definitely more color accurate, and also has an overall better camera mode,
this MakeToys set still overall captures what I wanted visually in terms of robot mode appearance, especially with proportions of the figures themselves. I absolutely love the subtle detail and look of the green chest area.





As I know I'll be phasing out of regular release figures in the next year or so, I could see being very tempted to add to this line-up, even if it means going 3P.

Continuing my UT renaissance I got another figure in the post yesterday. None other than the rather excellent Energon Strongarm!

Vehicle mode is just great. Cute, fun little jeep, no complaints here.

Transformation is simple and effective, with the rather nifty spinning wheel assemblies for the arms. Robot mode, whilst not the most articulated, certainly looks handsome. I like to use the axe blades/spare tire as a drum/pan magazine for the machine gun.

Even with limited poseability he can still look relatively dynamic. Helped by that awesome axe!

So yeah, £10 well spent!

People give the Unicron Trilogy flack for articulation, but if you know what you're doing most figures can get a fair bit of mileage out of what they've got.

Got the He-Man sled thing on sale. Mini Orko was full price and I got SS RotF Sideswipe at GameStop.

Sideswipe looks beautiful.

I got a lot lately. Black Friday sales were really good. Draculus ended up only costing me $21.70 thanks to the 30% off sale I got on Monday, they price matched while I was out in the field funny enough. and I have secured a couple of pretty unique and rare hot wheels. And some great Ghostbusters stuff.

Freezing my fingers off as I type this, but finding the one shortpacked Authentic Barricade among dozens of Bees and Megs is worth it.

Despite the obvious cheap feeling, this Barricade have a nice transformation and I prefer this look over the Gen Prowl repaint.

Now I just need to paint those windows.

I really love that Barricade figure, possibly the best of the Authentics. The paint doesn't do the sculpt justice, all the details are there from the package art, it just looks like a blue blur without being painted in.

Yup. Canadian Tire. The only place to get the Authentic line for all size classes except those big lanky ones at Walmart.

For the price, Barricade is really good along "deluxe" Soundwave, who may be even better than all the Cyberverse versions.

Got rid of that garbage SS Sideswipe to get SS Jolt instead. He still require a ton of "panels massage" to make his vehicle mode, but at least nothing fall appart in the process and once you're done the car is seamless.

Thanks to the Amazon.ca Flash Sale, I got the first World Collide 2 pack for cheap. Even cheaper because I split the set with my friend. I keep the Sideswipe to complete my Lambo Trio, and my friend will open the Beast Pandora Box with Skywarp.

I ordered the second set for dirt cheap too. I'll keep the Grimlock while my friend will get the Mirage.
