Transformers Studio Series 86 Discussion Core Ratchet was found at US retail earlier this week. Since not all fans collect that scale, there may be some hesitation in adding him to your collection. Well, we now have a video review from PrimevsPrime. This was sent to us by several members of the Seibertron community.

Ratchet is in the same wave as Wheelie and both are popping up at Targets in the US.

Lo and behold, Core Ironhide will be an exclusive only for those who are able to visit the Whadafukhistan's moonbase. Same thing with Voyager Ratchet.

I still think Siege Ironhide is the best Ironhide, they did good there as far as I am concerned. But that is neither here nor there since in a way SS86 is making a different type of Ironhide.

I also don't really care about the battle sled, it is not really needed in my eyes.

yeah, well. I ain't blaming him. I just got beat to Cosmos and Clampdown. I don't usually go out of my way to criticize Hasbro, but this....was a really poor decision. Making me go to the store isn't the same thing as making me buy. Am I looking for Velocitron? Yes. Am I going to buy anything other than Cosmos and Lockdown in the deluxes until I get them? no. That's not creating 'hype', that's frustrating a loyal customer.

Meanwhile, I did get SS86.16 Arcee a week ago and never mentioned it.

I think I'm not alone being frustrated in all those exclusives that are hard or nearly impossible to get.

As if 3/4 of all the new transformers that get released are exclusives to some place or other. The usual bad distribution being the cherry on top of that $hit sundae.

I could see an SS86 finale set that includes Core Ironhide, voyager Ratchet, and maybe something like Wheeljack all in gray and dead.

I’d rather a repaint of Earthrise Wheeljack in brighter white with some more paint apps and maybe his classic racing number.

But we never saw it in the film like that.

I just hope it won't be a never-ending incomplete line like every other line they start. I recently discovered that the studio series fit with the legion class! I am back hunting.

Scout class hadn't been around in a long time...

I always thought they were the same. Even after the downsize.

"Legions" were basically G1 minibots / Gobots sized toys with basic transformation. Just a smidge bigger than micomasters.

The old scout were almost "deluxe sized" by today's standard but remained rather simple. After a tiny downsize, it became Legends but with the same complexity as the previous Scouts. Same thing happened again with the Current Core. Another size decrease, but same complexity as ever.
