I'm on my usual regimen of slagging Autobots, if that's what you mean. And I've finally switched to manual CR now that I've only 2 lvl 0s left, so my playing style's a little different now (ie I read logs less than ever now).

The usual, just chugging along, killing some bots, planning my future stat upgrades.

Haven't played HMW since '03 and have had to redo the account :GHOST:

I'm still a 'con and always will be

Still, for playing a total of 4 days, I think I'm doin pretty good. (just look at the team)

Firepower affects strafe. Can't tell you by how much, though; no idea.

Points in Strafe +1 = max number of shots available (warning: not all of them are 'accurate')
Points in Firepower = damage bonus per strafe.
(or something like that.)

If im honest, i'd suggest forgeting about strafers for now and putting it all into Strength or Speed, but for now go with whatever makes you the XP...

LOL Supercollider, you do know that when Psychout's not on, I usually am, don't you? Well, that's unless RL gets me.

BTW, I need config advice again.

Should I wait to upgrade Air Convoy's courage or should I upgrade her Avoid?

Her stats so far:

1 str

6 spd

4 cour

3 fp

2 skl (BBs)

5 avd

My goal with this character is to whore as much xp as she can in missions.

I know RiD, I've stasis locked a few of your convoys in my short time here (not often mind) but I've got into battle after battle against Psychout's team recently and only really managed a few hits on them. Besides - gotta big up some animosity ready for finishing off my WarPorn Vs Teraelectronvolt HMW fanfic.

BTW - the RNG is giving me no love in the Avoid stakes over the past three weeks so I might be looking at stripping Autofire of almost all his avoids so any suggestions for alternate car setups gratefully recieved. (Currently he's 86k Xp, Car - Spd=5, End=1, Crg=2, Avoid=5)

Strangely enough Cloudstrater (Jet Spd=3, Frp=2, Crg=2, Avoid=3, Strafe=2) pulled off 10 in one battle not that long ago either, that RNG's a fickle mistress.

The RNG likes sacrifices, particularly low level unnamed Autobots. Speaking of, off to the altar. *menecing laughter*

All hail the RNG I offer you this spark to you. *peirces the main energy distributor of autobot.*

Considering your team name, do I sense a mad physicist vs. an evil doctor and his patients? Well, you're getting me more often because I've made myself sit out a month so that I could focus on a few things that I thankfully don't have going on anymore IRL. But I'm back and not letting you get me as much as before, even if my team is still mostly at lvls 0-1.

Just because I think I'll get more replies, I'll repost what I posted in the Decepticon thread.

Jetfire Masta wrote:Hey 'Cons.........I know I haven't been active on the forums in like.......a year, but I've been busy with school and such, but now I think I can post once in a while. First post is obviously about me :P

I was thinking about making Necros back into a strafer, same goes with Siphon. They were originally strafers, but I reformatted them into avoiders because they were performing very poorly due to their low firepower. I was thinking of making Necros have this setup.

2 Strength
3 Speed
5 Courage
8 Firepower
5 Strafe
Megatron Battle Sword

This is his current setup

http://www.seibertron.com/heavymetalwar/character.php?character_id=10288

I'm not sure if I should take out a strafe to keep him at level 2 because I have a feeling if he was level 3 he would get owned.........lol. I usually do missions, so I suppose the level won't matter that much because I usually send him into 2-3 missions anyways. So any opinions? Go for it? Keep him as an avoider for now until I get more exp? Thanks everyone, and I hope to post more often since I was inactive in the FORUMS, but not the game for about a year. 8)

That was later shunned by RobotInDisguise and Whisper :P

So then I posted this

Jetfire Masta wrote:Damn, thought it was a decent setup XD

Anyone got strafer setups they can make for Necros?

I think this one is at least better than the last one.

3 Strength
4 Speed
5 Courage
6 Firepower
2 Skill
5 Strafe
Battle Blades

Yes, I really want a strafer

Help please :D Oh, and yay for self quotes

Hi JF, nice to see your return, we always need more level 3's.

Have a look at her: Dark Spark

She takes a regualar beating, but when she gets pissed she tends to go totally postal, strafing the crap out of everything in the mission and totally destroying the place.

Seems to work quite well but IMO BB's are pointless on a strafer - use a FP only weapon as your FP is the feeder stat.

EDIT: Forgot to mention her Strafe is at 6...

Drop the courage, level down, gather 20k more xp for each of them at least, and pile your stats on str, ram, and speed, depending on the alt mode when you level back up.

Works at lvl 2. Useless at lvl 1. Concentrate on speed, avoid, and ram, as avoid gets you xp and the other two increase your chances of hitting your targets. No use attacking more often if you can't make any hits.
