small update

very early lighting tests.....

I'm amazed with your work.

here are a couple of preliminary sketches that i think you will like !!!

You know you could use some of those Heroes of Cybertron little PVC figures painted in grey as the statues in the hall of heroes. Unless you actually plan on sculpting out the statues, considering the level of detail in this thing I wouldn't put it past you.

lol thanks !! yep you've seen right.... they will be done by hand and will measure about 1/2 inch high by my best guess.....

I think Draft #2 of the Hall of Heroes would be the best way to go.

Draft 2 is deffinatly the better Choice but what if you combined both having the First one's tunnel design attached to the ring in the tunnel you could have murals of a sort or, The original 13 that leads up to the hall of heros.

To be hounest, the first Draft is prob the best way to go. The other feels like a Museum more then a Monument.

I suggest that you go with both....lead the one with the Reg Hero's up till the door and let them enter into a room to pay Tribute to Optimus Prime all on his own.

I dunno, the room looks too full for a tribute area in the second.

I think combining them would work best in the end.

I would just like to point out that you guys are discussing A FREAKING MONUMENT MUSEUM AS A LITTLE DETAIL. If that doesn't prove the scale of this thing, nothing will.

I also agree that the two combined would be the best way to go. I like TFM's point about the heroes in the 'hall' portion, with Optimus Prime in the 'museum' portion. Perhaps taking a handful of characters to accompany Prime. Like the "Best of the best" group. But then you'd have to decide which ones you'd put in there.

Well, weren't the original Ark crew supposed to be Prime's elite..?

actually the statues will be 1/2 " high !

with the holiday season and the birth of my son i had little to work on metroplex and my other projects.... but here is a building that will rise from the upper part of the lower arm and will be a medium tower.... no other tower has lights because i've just made a huge order for led's from hong kong so i'm waiting for it !!

so here are the latest pictures and please note that it's still a work in progress so allot will change !!

now for an update...

medium tower 1 is advancing slowly and the upper section has had it's light systems tested !!

also for those of you who want a size comparison ,check picture number 3 and you'll see how prime size should be compare to this... an unpainted figurine of prime (ahd built) but gives you a very good idea on the scale.....

Congrats on the son! I see in the pics a Brave Maximus. You want to sell him? Keep up the good work. Is that a Bumblebee statue?

This looks fantastic, simply breathtaking to be exact.

Can't you take those Attacktix figures instead of making new ones from scratch?

I think that would still be a bit big.

Prob more around half their size is what he's thinking.

Not my place to say though. He's the one making it, just what I would guess.

(And even then I think they would still be a bit big.)

so here is an update and there is a transformation sequence for this building to give you guys a taste of things to come ...also i had to redo some of it's components this weekend because of some problems.... i will let the pictures speak for themselves ... enjoy !!
