Transformers Bumblebee Movie Toys Thread
First Toy of Shatter from Transformers: Bumblebee Movie Shown at #SDCC2018 #HasbroSDCC #JoinTheBuzz
- Motto: "There's no such thing as a no-lose situation, but if you try your hardest, you'll lose the least."
- Weapon: Hand-Mounted Lasers
Here's something that slipped under our radar for a while during San Diego Comic Con, but is just now resurfacing as an interesting news item! As captured by the Bossbot, Seibertron himself, in the gallery of Bumblebee Movie-related toys, we have a look at the Titan Hero Shatter toy - which is also our first look at any toys for Shatter whatsoever! The figure was displayed in both robot and jet modes, as well as in-box.
Despite strong indications that the Bumblebee villains will be triple-changers in the film itself, the simplified Titan Hero Shatter only converts into a jet, which aligns with the choice to have Studio Series Dropkick transform only into a helicopter; perhaps indicating that their aerial vehicle modes will be their "primary" ones. Also interesting to note is that this toy sports a mask not seen on Shatter previously.

That was actually my first thought, but then I remembered that Shatter is female.

I thought it looked like Armada Starscream
There has been a lot of discussion about this at TFW over the past few days, I thought Windblade too but Armadascream was a much more popular opinion. Many - myself included - are lamenting the fact that, like Animated Starscream, she doesn't look like much of a Harrier! Bring on the Studio Series toy?

Transformers Bumblebee Movie Takara Leader Optimus Prime Revealed #ACGHK2018 Updated
- Motto: "Till All Are Pun!"
Some more news from the ACG Hong Kong 2018 event comes in the form of a new Takara Tomy product for the Transformers Bumblebee Movie toyline - or rather, a repackaging and reuse of a previous mold, and a popular one at that, for the live action movieverse Optimus Prime, the Evasion Mode from Age of Extinction!
Featuring a new deco, new gun accessory, and what seems to be swappable faceplates (or entire headsculpts), the Autobot leader - seen in the movie at least in hologram form for now - is ready for his super bendy posable self arrival in the new Paramount movie instalment. Check out the images from TFND on Facebook below!
Update: A new image shows that this is not a retool of the Age of Extinction Evasion Mode Optimus Prime toy but instead an upscale with new sculpting details. Yentai Lang stated the following on Transformers Never Die:
Staley Cheung posted an image of this toy on the Hobbymizer page where we see it compared to Shadow Panther, where it's leader scale is revealed.

This looks cool. Notice the forearms look all new too, the hands are better looking and no longer have truck panelling blocking the underneath of them (I hated that on the original mold).
I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool!
Likes: Bayverse, Marvel UK G1, Geoff Senior art, '86 movie (more for style/soundtrack rather than Star Wars plot)
Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron

That actually looks really nice and it's interesting to see Takara Tomy has some original stuff coming for this line. Since it's all in Japanese packaging I'm assuming Hasbro isn't releasing this, otherwise it'd be a SS release. Then again I could see it as an exclusive from Hasbro like the Target Bumblebee stuff.

Also am wondering what the two blue sections are on his back shown on the top left of the back of the box. I don't see anything shaped like that on my AoE Evasion Prime. Also look at the wheels on the legs. It has one of the lower one raise up to meet the higher ones like on the Studio figure and not like on the Evasion figure.
This is certainly a more interesting product than a simple redeco.

The side door windows are different, instead of a small one and an angular one it's a single square one. The truck mode as a new grill as well. They've really done a lot to make this look more like G1 Optimus in movie style.

All of the new changes make this a heck ton more similar to Weijiang's upscaled knockoff. Although, I am really happy for this. If we can get an american release at all, even if this is just an exclusive, I will most definitely get him.

Suddenly I don’t feel so bad about not having the original evasion mode Optimus! I hope this gets a US release somehow.

I just noticed that among all the thing they improve, smokestacks is not one of them. They improve a lot of parts, but still use the one side, impaired smokestacks which while it make sense on AOE, not so much here.

And the new Prime wasn't standing up straight either, so I figured it would all cancel out.
Anyways, if it is an upscale, it's very slight. Kinda odd.
