Keep in mind that because ebay has incremental bidding, that his original bid stays at the .01. Then I bet someone decided to just throw in random bid amounts, which kept jacking up the first guys bid. So what the second guy did is kept bidding, until he was the high bidder. And then he revoked his last bid. Leaving the first guy with a $200 bid on a $40 figure.
Very possible. It's amazing how many people will bid on things just to drive the price up...
I thought there was a penalty for revoking a bid though?

Question: This almost sounds like something that happened to me yesterday. I put $10 as a maximum bid for a (mislabeled) Classics Megatron. I was the second highest bidder, but the winner retracted his bid and I was offered the item for $10 (with 7.02 shipping). Did I get cheated?
