Emphasis added to my point here. I find the animal thinking process to be instinct. There is nothing chaotic about that. As in the example of Bludgeon given above that is chaotic. Defending territory and food (two of the basic needs animals care about) is not chaotic. I do think Beast Wars/Machines Megatron is a Lawful character for desiring a system where there are no unexpected variables for him governing Cybertron. G1 Megatron would be Chaotic in alignment.

As for Autobots being consider rebels is illogical. The Autobots were created to fight against the Decepticons as they were running across the planet unchecked. Of course this is one interpretation. The interpretation is them being slaves to the Quintessons before Optimus was even created (who in the first train of thought is the first Autobot). The Autobots and Decepticons were given "upgrades" as Maximal and Predacon more for energy efficiency than for any other 'superiority' if there were any. The only rebels I see were the Decepticons (basically they were the military drones under Quintesson rule) and small group of Predacons led by BW Megatron. Just remember, the maximal and predacon firepower couldn't even scratch the die-cast construction of the Ark! So I don't see that as much of an 'upgrade'.

To be fair, it took the *&%$!ing Nemesis to down the Ark.

But that's because Decepticons built it, so it could probably take down a Super Star Destroyer.

Your rambling is in the end of all things pointless drivel. Autobot and Decepticon betray and ally at the merest hint of an Energon reward a fact that has kept them at odds for a millennium the very avatars of Chaos. Yes the Maximals and Predacons have deep in their laser cores a touch of the essence of chaos that calls forth in their beast forms instinctual actions. But the very forms that you scorn as "squishy" affords us a measure of control over that chaos that only the highest of ranking members of your factions even attempt to exert.

I to was once an Autobot but was allowed to fall to Decepticons rescued by the forward thinking Predacons. My Pod-12 may no longer wear simple durasteel hides but even when squished we will struggle to our feets and defend our home planet from the death being broth forth by her supposed defenders!
