what about how many? I know Os has said that we will have 3 diplomats but 4 seems to be a better number. It would make transitions a lot smoother at least on the autobot side of things.

I believe how many is up to the individual faction, probably to an extent.

That's why I would also recommend three months, for both "leaders" and "diplomats", with a big tournament scheduled at the end of each term. Giving both leaders and diplomats a great way to prove their worth.

If terms are agreed to across factions and voting is synchronized, then appropriately timed tournaments would work well into the new structure.
