Howdy peeps. Just upgraded all my characters to level one, and find that they are having their @$$es handed to them on a regular basis. As a result, I now have no energon left for CR chamber! How can i earn some energon and get back in the fight? Is it worth resetting the characters to level 0 and going through a few days of Arena matches to build up some capital (since CR is free at level 0) or is there another way (as that seems a little dishonest)?

Reset to lvl 0 and build up a healthy supply of energon :grin:

if youre that broke, either just play the arena to get some basic fundage or missions and dont use the auto cr. resetting back to 0 could also help. also sell any weapons you dont use (or even those you do).

I find you'll get more xp and energon from
missions rather than the arena where you are limited to a certain # of xp(and energon), unless you avoid alot.
Keep some at level 0 to generate energon while they pay no energon for the CR chamber.

At least give the guy an answer before pointing him in the direction of the help thread. Heck, CF helped out and for once he didn't point to the FAQ!

Howdy pigbunk!

Yeah most people here understand that to compete above level 0 you need a good stash of energon to get you started - any extra xp you can take also helps.

I used to split my team into 6 level 1s and 6 level 0s, the level 1s went into missions and the level 0s went into the arena. I'd generally walk out with 30k energon per week if I set up my "Arena Monkeys" with speed and avoid to squeeze the extra 50xp & energon per avoid. In your situation I'd recommend the same and once you've got a healthy stash slowly upgrade them one at a time checking how much energon's going into CR csts against what they're earning, if it looks even over about 5 battles then you can look at bringing another one up to level 1 etc...

Cheers all. I had looked in the help file, but couldn't find the answer to my specific question. I wasn't sure if it was against the "spirit of the game" to keep some artificially low level bots just to make some cash.

Now I'm thinking "Screw the spirit of the game, I'm a decepticon! Gimme Cash! Gimme Power!!!!"

dang youre right. this wasnt very a faq related question though.

i forgot to ask, are all level 0 cr chambers still free?

yeah, they are. s'why I keep half and half with my level 0s. The free CR chambers I mean.

Also I kinda wonder what a second class con would be if a first class is in the sense of greedy, mindless selfish bastards.
