And had the website not caught it, we wouldn't have known any better.
Be interesting to see if Bay makes another statement in a day or so.

You crybabies still upset about michael bay? Time to let it go. You could all be reading a book right now.
I like you. Others won't though. But I like you. You and I? We can laugh at them together.
Can I join you?
If the first Bay directed Transformers movie was the only Bay directed Transformers movie then I'd agree with you to. But there has been two more since then with another on the way. So long as he keeps making them then 'haters' will have as much reason to complain about them as 'lovers' will have as much reason to praise them

I hate Will Ferrell and do you know what I do? I don't see his movies. I don't spend my time annoying people on Will Ferrell forums every time I hear his name mentioned. I spend my time doing things I enjoy, not bringing others down by shoving my hate filled opinion down their throats. I guess expecting the same courtesy here is too much to ask.

For starters ... it's a sub-forum dedicated to the movies, so close enough.
And we've had those people over the years. They sign up specifically to discuss the movies. They don't join in any other discussions outside of the movie sub-forum, and most of the time what they discuss is just negativity, and it's the same thing over and over again.
It's life though ... if you're positive, you tend to not make a big deal out of it. But if it's something you dislike, people will get up on their soapbox and holler and holler and holler until they're blue in the face and keep on going.
You really should have been here 4-5 years ago. You would have loved some of the "discussions".

You're right, they were.
Regardless of their actual quality, they were massive hits, all three, and proved that Transformers and boys toys/properties were a legit property.
People can dislike the movies, but they should at least respect and recognize the positive impacts they've brought us.

I agree with all of this, actually. The movies brought the franchise to a level of popularity it hadn't had in years, and the complexity of the movie designs forced the toy engineering to rocket forward. ROTF Optimus Prime is still one of my favorite TFs ever.People can dislike the movies, but they should at least respect and recognize the positive impacts they've brought us.
And I do dislike the movies. As movies, they're kind of awful. I don't like the excessive body humor and I don't like the way the 'bots are treated as background characters. Sam was annoying and I really started to dislike him after a while. But as I said above, I recognize what the films did for the franchise, and they served as a partial inspiration for the Prime designs, which I love.

No matter what anyone says, there are those who simply don't like the movies, whether they've seen all three a dozen times each or none at all.
