What Rodimus did in that scene was so refreshing, so much in the vein of the classically heroic "Prime" style that was I genuinely happy to see someone just do the right thing, take the moral/heroic high ground. I think the artistic effort in this scene was a fine way to bring Rodimus back around to the noble hero he was when he came before Optimus in Chaos Theory.
Totally agreed, it was a powerful page and really took Rodimus full circle. Great way to set up for the final chapters while closing a good number of plots, both actual and thematic.
I found the commentary about higher powers looking out for some people more relevant to Cyclonus. It was symbolic that he didn't get stabbed due to an interference from "Primus". Sure, it was his a-hole friend's naughty children, but a nice analogy regardless.
