I didnt think it was that. Because he could have stayed a bit longer now? I thought he left because all along he had wanted Megatron to see what he had become but that now he didnt need any recognition from someone he now has no respect for.Dr Va'al wrote: And those three panels of Soundwave being hurt to his precious core?

Glitch is nobody. Tarn was a characer to be feared but he only existed with taht mask on. In the end, his identity didnt matter, it was his current identity which was the main threat and who he wanted us to know him by. So I am ok with it. It does make that UW Warrior even odder now though.

I loved those panels. They were connected. It did make me also think of the scene in Dark Cybertron where we see SOundwave thinking of turning Ratbat into a casette. I dont know how that works and how he was turned obedient but would this mean that he and the Senetor shae a similar technobiological link?

That brief, wordless scene with soundwave was brutal. I honestly had to stop reading for a minute when I first saw it.
Regarding ratbat though, I'm assuming that aswell as the spark and brain module transfer, there was some form of shadowplay. It almost reminds me of the domestication process we've become familiar with recently, but to a less extreme extent.
I think the mental link, or at least such a strong mental link, is unique to Ravage however. Soundwave still (as we saw an issue or two ago of RID) has his telepathic abilities, even if he doesn't use them much, but it was Ravage who initially taught him how to control them and escape the sensory overload (having had similar experiences himself with his over-sensitive nose). I assume that because they both have incredibly strong senses, and because of their personal bond (plus, ravage was initially on the lost light at soundwave's behest, to keep an eye on megs), soundwave is particularly "tuned in" to ravage's telepathic signal, hence being able to literally feel his friend's death from across the galaxy

Ratbat was dead before Dark Cybertron, maybe you're thinking of Megatron Origin or one of the pre-Dark Cybertron comics from exRiD?

Was I unclear? Sorry. I just read the issue and reading the comments it seems people were a bit dissapointed with the reveal of who tarn was. But I wasnt and I get what they were doing. Not only was Roberts going against expectations ( while part of it was in your face), this tells us that all along it didnt matter who Tarn was. What mattered was who he had become. The mask was more important than the person under it.

No I am thinking of Dark Cybertron which has a flashback scene of Shockwave and Soundwave talking together and Soundwave telling him what he plans to do with Senator Ratbat. That scene freaked me out a bit because I always assumed these were Shockwave's friends and this seemed extreamly vengeful of the guy who is usually the calmest person in the room. What was probably my favourite part of the whole storyline which I mostly didnt like to the point of being turned me off from reading the rest of RID.

No, that part was good, I was confused as to your last line there. should have narrowed that down for you

I think Will's talking about the Unite Warriors Wandering Roller, part of the Grand Galvatron set.
It was a Rook redeco as Roller, with a bio saying something about him having been abandoned, gotten lost through the universe, and became fixated on revenge against those who abandoned him (OP and the crew), hence turning decepticon/rogue autobot? Something along those lines, anyway- it seems the writers at Takara had gotten a little on board with the Roller=Tarn (or at least Roller=evil) theory.
Tarn being Glitch, and Roller being good, in the comics means the the UW version of Roller ends up in an odd place where he doesnt really fit in to any continuity. (Then again, the same could really be said for most of Grand Galvatron, or even the funny little UW manga shorts he appears in as far as I'm aware)

ArmadaPrime wrote:This is a whole new tier of crackpot theory and I love it.
Thinking about it though, the often-quoted anecdote about Scrounge is that he "has a special arm" and "there is no other like it!"
As you point out, Rung's is pretty similar, so either they are indeed the same person, or it's all a conspiracy, and Scrounge's arm isn't quite as special or unique as he claims...
I'm like 95% sure we're miles off the mark here regarding the mysteries surrounding Rung, but it's fun to theorise

I'm willing to bet it's the one thing that Roberts didn't do by intent and is legitimately a coincidence... but then again, this is Roberts. My shower-born 'theory' is crackpot and it probably won't happen in the slightest... but I wouldn't be surprised if it did with him

It'll be followed on in Lost Light #1. MTMTE #56 and #57 are part of Titans Return and focus on Fort Max and Red Alert, while the Revolution tie-in features the Scavengers. This is basically a couple of interludes until Season 3 officially starts.

Do you have to read the rest of the crossover or is Roberts making it so that you don't need to and can just focus on MTMTE?

Well, it's not finished yet and we don't know it's consequences so far all we know it could provide added context for later events... but from how it's looking right now, don't think you'll need to no.
