i don't see what's wrong with machines being built for a purpose.

What purpose required the Transformers to be built to look, act, feel, fight, play and think like humans? There is no rational reason - it's just to humanize them.

The writers at IDW will struggle to make these "births" believable to the readers in the future.

Transformers have had pseudo-mystical births since Beast Wars (although Vector Sigma also had an air of mysticism about it). Most people seem to be okay with it.

The relationship stuff particularly the homosexual stuff is quite off putting.

You just specified the gay relationships as being more offputting than the straight relationships - why?

The gay relationship stuff is too frequent and in your face. The straight relationships haven't gone next to near how soppy and time consuming the gay ones have. It'd bother me if springer was hitting on or being soppy about arcee for example but the gay relationships are just too over the top.

In that case, I'd advise actually mentioning that when you talk about the relationships bothering you - something like "It bothers me when these stories put a lot of focus on Transformer relationships". Statements like "completely disturbing with the homosexual material." give the reader a distinct impression that it's the "homosexual" part that's giving you problems.

Bw silverbolt was a characterisation of an old gentleman/knight. Blackarachnia never played herself as a damsel in distress merely silverbolt was so gentlemanly he saw it that way. The embracing and words between chromedome and rewind are over the top and soppy. There's no two ways about it.

I don't think there's a need for it to be in transformers to be honest.

Any thinking on why it's not needed? I mean, there's no more or less need for straight relationships in Transformers.

Transformers reflect humans, are very humanized etc., and that's what gives them most of their charm. Their mental/emotional characteristics are based on humans, and some humans are gay.

(actually, if +90% of Transformers are male, male-male relationships seem more likely than other pairings, but that's beside the point.)

So an over the top heterosexual character being over the top, showing their affection through Soliloquy, waxing poetic, being ridiculously chivalrous, and let's not forget down to get the friction on; is a okay. But a grounded, homosexual, character displaying their love in a normal way like just saying "i love you," or the occasional hug; WOAH WOAH that crosses the line!

That's a cool homage. "Bridge to Nowhere" is 1 of my favorite issues of the Marvel run. If I cared at all about Windblade, I might get it. Still, great job with the art.

Thanks, Alex and Josh knocked it out of the park with the art. We hope to be able to do it again next year with another set of IDW artists. I'd love to have homages to more classic Marvel covers.

We've been in a bit of a drought in terms of new comics from IDW Publishing, but it looks as though that is about to change - the first issue of Transformers: Till All Are One has shown up over on iTunes! Check out below the first three pages of the new series from Mairghread Scott, along with art by Sara Pitre Durocher, and give it a couple of weeks for it to hit release date.

Actually at the moment they are unaligned as factions are outlawed under starscream's rule.

I'm loving that Ironhide is going to be a main character and that they now have so many different characters involved, like Prime, micromaster combiners, beast wars, etc. Love it.

That wasn't his United body. That was just his G1 blast off body. United BO wasn't revealed till 4-5 months ago. That issue came out 9 months ago and the artist had no idea or anyone for that matter knew takara was making a new mold.
