True, they do have that in common but couldn't we say that about many Decepticons?

I never saw a Decepticon more loyal than Soundwave... Oh, we can say that about Shockwave. Well from G1 those are the really loyal Decepties. The movie - Boney! And Blackout maybe... Oh, and Barricade.

That makes Bonehead some sort of Soundwave character.

It does?

that goes for a lot of 'cons. out of the entire cast, i would say blackout is the most soundwave-like.

Yeah. A lot of cons show loyalty to Megatron. Even in his absence. I think Soundwave's qualities are distributed among a few Decepticons.

Bonecrusher being loyal and powerful.
Blackout and Barricade being both loyal and possess a minion to extend their functions.

yeah. i think that even more ever since i saw a concept in the disc 2 DVD when they had blackout designed like soundwave, with the "batteries" over the shoulders and colored blue. i just hope they make a TRUE-to-character soundwave for TF2 in the way optimus was (blue, red visor, battery-like weapons, minion)

His spark remains undamaged (I think) so it is possible that he gets alive. But Bay might choose to get more new characters and forgetting about the old ones.

Okay, what spurred this little resurrection?

I think it's highly unlikely Bonecrusher will return. Maybe you'll have to start writing fanfic!

I doubt Bonecrusher will come back, Bay chose him to be the unfortunate fall guy who was to be made an example of Prime's power.

I thought his design was pretty cool though and so was his vehicle form. (flipping cars out of way on the highway 8) )

Motto: "They wanna play my emotions, but I'm like the ocean-- too calm to get upset by somebody's notion."
Weapon: Concussion Blaster Gun
I've read all 20 pages and have a couple "cents".

First, I agree it's very possible to bring back Bonecrusher.
I personally think he was, for the screen time he was given, was an awesome character and although wreckless, was a GREAT representation of a Decepticon.

Second, while I'm bias toward G1, I understand that this creation of Bay's isn't G1.
It's never going to be-- he's not going to suddenly change where this story is going to go back to it.
HOWEVER, I definintely DON'T agree that character names and/or personalities can be completely discarded/switched, etc.
Obviuosly, they could make Starscream, Ratchet, Grimlock, and Shockwave all form a combiner called Devastator.
But come on.
Enough has already been changed from G1 that some of this needs to stick somewhat closer to G1.
I'd want to see Devastator with 6 bots who's alt. modes had at least something to do with construction vehicles.
Of course they're not going to look like the G1 constructicons-- Bay's already done away with that look.

What I'd like to see as far as Bonecrusher, is maybe something like this--
He is reformed with his first (movie) head and body.
BUT, in an early, longer, drawn-out battle, he is mangled almost beyond repair.
Megatron (not Galvatron) likes his aggressiveness, so has him remade (into a new construction-type vehicle), and gives him a crew to go into battles with (the Construcicons), who unlike some of the G1 Constructicon characters, have the similar badass, fearless, destructive personalities.

For the second movie,
I'd be more than happy with these Decepticons:
--Megs
--Screamer
--Thundercracker (why not have 2 awesome, but slightly different planes?)
--Barricade
--Scorpinok (but is finally killed, maybe in that early battle where Bonecrusher gets nearly destroyed)
--the Constrtucticons
--Soundwave

That's 11 different Decepties that would open up the movie to a lot of REALLY cool scenes, even ones that don't include huge explosions.
Not to mention, hopefully limit how much storyline is devoted to humans.

But yeah, bring back Bonecrusher in a new bot.
Give us (and Hasbro) another cool piece of merchandise.

Bonecrusher isn't that critical a character in terms of the storyline. He did what was intended: flipping some cars over, plowing through a bus, and a cool slow-mo of him tackling Prime before getting peaced out. There's no need to bring him back.

Absolutely agree with the first part of this...
And if Devastator isn't in any future movie(s), then he doesn't need to come back at all.
BUT, I think it would be a great little connection for both longtime TF fans, and people who are new fans because of the first film to see him brought back.
Even if they just show his first incarnation for one minute in a scene where he's re-made.

Then, we get a chance to see MORE of his apathetic personality, while simple, is great for a bad guy bot.
Not to mention, a "new" bot character.
Would it be better than having a brand new bot in his place?
Maybe not,
but if Devastator is thrown into the mix, I think this would be awesome.

Personally, I would see it more fitting for his constructicon brothers to come get him. Repair him and form "Devastation" or something like that since Devastator was taken. I really want to know how the Arcee or the Dinobots are going to work in the sequel.

Why use combiner names I really hate the writers on the name decisions, there were so many other names they could of taken up. Brawl, Boncrusher, Vortex later changed to Blackout, were all combiner names that could of been different. Demolisher(his orginal name), Scrouge for Bonecrusher, at least Vortex was changed. Brawl being dead kind of eliminates Bruticus from the next picture through.

You can't be sure Bonecrusher is dead, he only had his head removed, which Freny survived, but Frenzy was a silly character.

Eh.Dinobots? Why not put sky lynx instead? You get a monster type bot mode with him and a normal alt.Arcee (or any other femme) Do we really need 15 min of dialog to explain them?I think its something that fans get more wound up about it,compared to to mainstream movie goers. Its not like when you by a transformers femme bot toy you get a detailed analysis of why they are different from males.Bonecrusher got decapitated .
Its kind of hard to repair that.Besides with replacements we get new toys so its win win.Its a Long reach to ask for all 7 of the constuctions in the next movie,There weren't even 7 cons in the movie if you don't count the "pets"
