Is Arcee hot? Before I can say, first I need to go into something.

First of all, although Transformers are indeed robots, they are designed by humans. The question is why do Transformers have a humanoid appearance, particularly G1. Two eyes, a nose, a mouth on a recognizable head. Two arms a central body, etc. That's to make us empathize with them, to relate to them.

Personally I think that is why they made the Decepticons so insect-like in the movie. So we would see them as dangerous and totally alien. It also explains how come the Autobots are much more humanoid like with the above formula. But I digress.

Is Arcee hot? She may be to some people. Most likely when they CG animators were coming up with her, they did have that in mind. Is any of the other Transformers in other series sexy? While aimed at children that doesn't mean that the designs for the characters weren't meant to look attractive in ways or act in ways that we would find attractive. Or at least frikin' cool!

So in closing (that sounds so cool!), as much as I like to think in the Transformer mythos, they are still created by humans for humans.

So is Arcee hot? That is up to you. But I'm sure you will make a hard working CG artist happy if you did!

That's why I like the movie aesthetics. G1 designs always reminded me of humans in mecha suits.

No. Why becuase shes a robot..... Black arachnia looks cool but shes also a robot. Buti think BA is just kik ass and arcee is prolly my least favourite character. But Ba is just awsome SHE HAS GUNS IN ALL HER SPIDER LEGS!! but shes still a robot..........

Is Arcee hot? Well, I would say no but she is designed to play up to the male fantasy as most cartoon characters are. Wasnt she designed as an experiment for the Transformers to understand the concept of gender?

She clearly has the caring, motherly aspect that you would expect from a good female character and her body was designed to give her an appealing female form so I guess you could say that she is attractive from that point of view.

What confuses me though is that if the TFs have no concept of gender then they wouldnt have a concept of love or attaction. If that is the case then how do Arcee and Springer ( if I remember correctly ) end up as a bit of an item.

Mind you, the whole thing goes out the window when you look further down the time line and find characters such as Blackarachnia etc as I dont believe they are female experiments. I guess the TFs decided to adopt the whole gender thing.

Is it possible that when the BW Transformers landed on Earth, the scanning for alt.modes also affected their robot modes? Maybe Blackarachnia scanned an early female human (we know they were present in BW) as well as a spider and it altered her robot mode accordingly. This might also explain why some BW characters have 'mutant' heads, as the animal modes would've affected their robot modes.

I don't really think genders work in Transformers, though.
